STS & Cardio

Do you do STS and cardio on the same day? I usually do 3 days STS/3 days straight cardio but I feel lazy when I don't throw in some kind of cardio on an STS day. I'm also worried I won't lose weight if I skip cardio on the 3 days I have STS. Thoughts?
 
I do cardio every day in the morning so that covers the cardio and then I do STS in the afternoon/early evenings after work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Hope that helps! :)

Same as the post above...I know STS days are going to be tough ones so I make my morning cardio 45min or under. Usually some form of intervals....on my T,W, Th's I try and keep my cardio at a steady state. Working wonderfully, I don't feel over worked and my muscles are really beginning to become defined.
 
Though I work hard with STS, on days when Im working arms I dont feel like I break that much of a sweat. I dont have the time to add another workout on to an hour long workout, and I cant workout 2 times a day. I dont understand how it is possible to have time for that. I wish there was a better solution
 
If you look at the workout manager stats, you'll see that you do burn a fair amount of calories in a single STS workout, so even though it's not cardio-based, it's still certainly a workout!

I'll admit, it took me some time to adjust to the fact that I wouldn't necessarily be doing cardio EVERY day as I had done in the past (self-professed cardio junkie alert!). But, I found that if I did STS 3 days and cardio 4 days (yes I workout pretty much everyday), the results were there. I even do one "double-up" day where I do STS in the morning and spinning at night and that helped me feel like I got enough cardio for the week.

I have to say that I did look forward to the "rest" week between mesocycles, I did a ton of cardio that week (not really a rest, I know) which also helped, results-wise. :)
 
It would be hard to workout every day (I workout in the evenings) between work, the kids and the usual chores and working out in the morning is not possible for me.
Can you do cardio and STS on the same day?

sure! the only way to truely know is to try it out. you can tag on 30 min of inverval cardio after your STS workout and then take off the days in between if that works better for your schedule. what time in the evening do you workout?

I usually start working out around 7:45 when the kids are in bed. I do about 35-40 min of cardio then about 1 hour of weights + abs. I do that 3 days/week (that would go well with STS which is a 3 days/week program)

I've sometimes done rotations where I would do 15-20 minutes of cardio as an extended warm-up before my weight workouts. I use this especially when I'm especially interestedd in fat burning, as my theory is that the cardio boosts the metabolism before the weights, and the weight work keeps that boost going.

I found that something like the first 12 minutes of Cardio Kicks works well. I've also used 10-minute Solution workouts (one or two segments) or other short workkout (no longer than 20 minutes).
 
For those of you who are working out twice a day cardio in morning then sts at night or vice versa how many calories are you consuming a day?
