Ladies! OK, sorry for being a bit short yesterday, I think I was still trying to wrap my mind around being back home, lol

. So, some things about the road trip:
*As I said before, there were many women who w/
bods that were OUTTA-THIS-WORLD-PERFECT
(of course, Amanda, being one of them - OMG!!! if you think she looks good on the videos, it is UNREAL to see that bod in real life - I even had to close DH's jaw a time or two

, and he's usually rather good about not sneaking peaks at other ladies...or at least at not getting caught!

)
*
My ankle
, the bane of my RT existence

. I took it as easy as could be expected (after all, I did have "Nurse Autumn" giving me
that look - and telling me not to go overboard), but I did push myself on occasion, because I WAS NOT about to sit out the ENTIRE RT!! That's just crazy talk! So I rested when I absolutely needed too, and then pushed through the other times. Because everyone else was getting their butts kicked when I
was sitting it out, I was sure to give it my all when I participated. Because of this, I did feel that most of the time, I was able to keep up (but this is partially because although I was "playing w/pain", so were the others that were pushing through the DOMS that they rec'd during the w/o's that I
didn't do, KWIM?)
*
The dreaded STEP - well imagine my utter delight when I first entered the room and saw
all the steps set up for the first w/o, w/
only 1 riser per step. Seriously, I was elated

that I wouldn't feel like too much of a loaf...when I took
that riser and threw it to the side, lol

. Turns out that since you're gonna be doing 187 w/o's in like a 36 hour period, Cathe does
insist that everyone pace themselves. Even she only uses one riser. That was good to know (although there were a few people who still didn't quite grasp the "pace yourself" motto that Cathe kept repeating, and went around grabbing the extra risers that people like me weren't using - BOY I bet they felt it after the Lower Body w/o, lol) By the last w/o Cathe was suggesting (to the dwindling # of ppl that made it that far, lol) to go down to just the platform, because, it was all that most ladies could do to even
stand at that point.
*As for
me being a wallflower, really, I am!! At least until I get to know people. I warned Autumn of this ahead of time, and I remember about an hour into the first dinner, she looked across the table at me, and was like,

"DANG, girl! You
are quiet!" Idk, I guess I just get transported to my school days, when I used to go to a new school, EVERY YEAR

. I
so hated being the new girl, all the time, and feeling like I was on someone else's turf.

And during the first dinner, I was at a table w/quite a few vet RTers, and just kinda felt the same way. I'm sure that no one was trying to be
cliquish, but it just kinda happens naturally, ya know? And I was sitting in the middle of them, while they kinda talked over my head to each other

, I suppose it was just bad placement on my part...
Well, I was just looking at the latest newsletter, and noticed that
more pics were posted on flickr, so I'm off to check 'em out. I sure hope they're better than those facebook pics, where everyone looked all greasy, and washed out

(some of which were during dinner - after we were all showered and fresh! IDK what that was all about, the lighting was horrible!

)
ETA: Ooohh! The flickr pics are so much better/clearer! That's the RT that I remember

, I suppose that's why there were multiple camera people, lol (I remember that particular camera had a monster flash on it, which was sorely needed in that dark room!). But it looks like only pics of the first class are up so far.
