Strength in Numbers

Julie Great job on PUQ and GG without having a good nights sleep. I hope your Friday goes by fast for you, 7 hours of meetings does not sound like a lot of fun at all.

Pam Good work on your 30 mile bike ride and all of your errands. and GS chest and triceps and the abs from LIC. The push ups are tough and then to do the weight work after is even tougher. I find that I really feel that workout the next day.

Yesterday morning I did ICE Low Impact Sweat and Icy core 2. In the afternoon I went out to my parents to sign a Power of Attorney for my mom along with my brother. The weather was nasty going out there and I almost was killed by a dump truck that I guess didn't see me and moved into my lane on the freeway. I had to slam on the brakes and lean on the horn, it was so close and I was hoping that I wasn't going to be rear ended by the cars behind me because I had to come to almost a complete stop so I didn't get hit. I was shaking for several miles after that until I calmed down a bit. It was also my parents 61st wedding anniversary so my brother and myself took them out for dinner. The drive on the way home wasn't much better. There was an accident so that took about 45 minutes to get past that and it was really raining out. I stopped for wine on the way home because I wanted a glass after all that nasty driving. This morning we were suppose to go dragon boating for the last time this season but it was too cold. So we just brought all the boats out of the water, there are three of them spread out among several teams. There was a lot of bailing to do first as the water was about a foot deep in each of the boats. One of the teams brought coffee and cookies so that was nice afterwards.

Have a great weekend.

Cheryl

Saturday I did Cardio Slam plus the bonus abs and then DH and I took the dogs for a walk since it was really nice out. Sunday I did PUQ and GG and then was lazy the rest of the day. This morning I did Cycle Sweat. I was super tired this morning and did not want to get out of bed. It is supposed to be in the 60s today but then back down to the 30s the rest of the week. Crazy weather!

Pam Great job on your 30 mile bike ride! DH and I went on a 1.5 mile bike ride on Saturday and that was enough. I was thinking “how does Pam do this for 20+?!?!” Great job on GS C&T plus LIC abs! How do you forget about all those pushups!

Cheryl Great job on LIS plus core 2! That is a scary drive you had going to your parents. I have no doubt you were shaky for a long time after that. Wow 61 years of marriage! That is fantastic and amazing! What a driving day you had. Enough to make you want to stay in until Spring! Sounds like you had a workout bailing and moving the boats. So sad that the outside season is over.

Have a great day!

Cheryl Great job on ICE LI sweat and Icy core 2. Oh my goodness, I can't imagine how scary that must have been to have almost been hit by that dump truck. I think it would have been hard to continue driving after that. It sounds like you really did need a glass of wine after the driving experiences that you had. So glad that you were able to avoid being hit!! Bummer that it was too cold to get your last Dragon boating session in. Bailing out boats in the cold doesn't sound like much fun at all, thank goodness for the coffee and cookies!

Julie Great job on Cardio slam ad bonus abs. I am so proud of you adding on ab work so much lately! Great job on PUQ, GG, and cycle sweat. We are getting that same cold front later this week. It's going to be beautiful today and tomorrow, but then cold rain all day Wednesday and high only in the 40s on Thursday. I'm dreading it already. That is too funny that 1.5 miles was enough. I'm always happy when we only have 2 miles left! I think that forgetting about the pushups in GS must be a coping mechanism :p

Saturday I took as a rest day. We had a pretty lazy morning and then got the tree decorated. Sunday we did our usual 24 mile bike ride, then I made Brunswick stew and went and ran some errands. This morning was Intensity plus bonus core 1 from XTrain. Now I think it will be laundry and housework for the rest of the day. Have a great day!

Pam

Julie Great job on Cardio Slam and the bonus abs, that is one hard ab workout and PUQ and GG and Cycle Sweat. Sorry that you were so tired this morning. Hopefully you will be better rested tomorrow.

Pam Good work on your 24 mile bike ride and Intensity and bonus core 1 from XTrain. Nice that you were able to get your tree decorated. The Brunswick stew would be good on a cold day.

Yesterday I did Yoga for Strength and then walked down to our Winter Market for some eggs and veggies. In the afternoon I got the Christmas lights put up outside. This morning was Circuit Blast another one that I haven't done in a long time. In the afternoon I went for a walk since it wasn't raining. They are saying that we will have a dry spell for a while, I hope they are right because all of the rain is depressing. It rained every day in November except for 3 days where it was just dreary.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

This morning I did PUQ and GG. I might repeat the first 4 weeks of PUQ before moving on to the second 4 week cycle. I just feel like I should probably be a little stronger at some of the “easier” stuff in the first 4 week cycle. I still have one more week to decide if that is what I am going to do or not. Last night it was so windy our patio furniture blew across our deck and knocked some of the chairs over. We have to find some way to keep that from happening because I don’t want it coming through your sliding glass door one night.

Pam Saturday sounds like a wonderful day with resting and decorating the tree. Great job on your 24 mile bike ride and Intensity plus XT core 1! Yeah, I felt like maybe additional ab work might help with my pullups. Not that my weak core is the only thing holding me back on those.

Cheryl Great job on Yoga for Strength! I still need to order one of those, I am thinking Yoga for flexibility. Great job on CB and your walk! Wow only 3 dry days in a month is depressing.

Have a great day!

Julie Good job on PUQ and GG. It is never a bad thing to repeat something and if it makes your stronger for your next 4 week cycle it will make the repeat worth it. Scary that the wind blew your patio furniture across your deck. It really must have been windy to do that. I like all four of the yoga dvds that I have but I think the one for flexibility was my favorite.

This morning was Butts and Guts and the Stability Ball abs add on. I think my butt is going to be talking to me tomorrow. In the afternoon we went out for a walk. DH doesn't usually go with me as he walks really slow. But we went down to the park and walked along the pier since it was so nice out and there was also some blue sky. Something we haven't see a lot of lately.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

Cheryl Great job on Yoga for strength. I am so envious that you can walk so many places. Great job on circuit blast. I'm glad to hear you are going to have a dry spell, it sounds like you deserve it. I would go batty with only 3 days without rain in a month! I sure hope December is better!

Julie Great job PUQ and GG. It sounds like it could be a good idea to repeat the first 4 weeks of PUQ. Wow, that is some crazy wind blowing your patio furniture like that. I would be afraid of it coming through the sliding glass door too. I don't have any good suggestions on how to avoid it though

Cheryl Great job on Butts and Guts and the stability ball abs. I hope your butt is ok today!:D Nice that DH went out for a walk with you. I have a hard time walking with slow walkers, but I'm getting better. My mom loves to go for walks and she is a very slow walker, so that is helping me get used to it. :). Hooray for blue sky!

Yesterday we did our regular 24 mile bike ride, then I went to visit my mom in the afternoon. It was a beautiful day, so I took her out for a walk which she loves. It may be the last chance for a while because we have a cold front coming through now. Last night she ended up going to the hospital though because she got dizzy and passed out. They ran a bunch of tests and didn't find anything, but they kept her overnight because she passed out. She gets these dizzy spells a lot but they can't find anything wrong. This morning was GS legs and XTrain bonus core 2 and now I'd headed to the hospital to see how she's doing. I'm guessing she will be going home today because she seemed fine by the time I got to the hospital last night. Have a great day!

Pam

Pam I love the area that we live in, it is very urban but we have a lot of green space where we can walk and two lakes that are just a 15 minute drive in either direction. Great job on your 24 mile bike ride and your walk with your mom. I hope your mom is OK and she can come home from the hospital today. Good job on today's GS Legs and XTrain bonus core 2.

Well I am feeling in the butt a bit today but not as much as I thought I would. Today was Upper Body Trisets another one that I haven't done in a long time. Then it was grocery shopping and making some healthy snacks.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

This morning was Cardio Kicks! I love that one but I don’t have much room to do the cardio portions fully. I just have to do the best I can with my scrunched space. Then once we get to the drills section it is party time!

Cheryl Great job on B&G plus SB abs add on! That is great you had nice weather and was able to go for a walk with DH. My DH walks slower than me too which is weird since he is a foot taller than me. Great job on UB Trisets! I ordered the Yoga for Flexibility. Should be in next week but I probably won’t get to try it until next Saturday.

Pam Great job on your 24 mile bike ride! So glad you were able to go for a walk with your mom. Have they checked your mom’s ears for crystals? Someone I worked with used to get dizzy spells often and it turned out she had crystals in her ears that were throwing her equilibrium off. Great job on GS Legs and XT core 2! Hope your mom was able to make it home yesterday.

Have a great day!

Cheryl Great job on Upper body tri sets and for making some healthy snacks.

Julie Great job on cardio kicks. I love that one too and always think of you when I'm doing it because I know you get tickled about those big guys coming up front. I have never heard that about crystals in the ears, we will have to check that out.

This morning I did Tracy Staehles step sweatfest. It's pretty good, but it has a few moves that I just haven't been able to get down. I don't do it very often either, so that doesn't help. Oh, and I fell on my butt on one of the moves that goes around the step. Luckily I didn't twist my ankle. My mom is getting discharged this morning. They were going to send her home on a heart monitor, but this morning her pulse was up so they decided that she doesn't need to be on the monitor. She was really mad yesterday when she found out she wasn't going home yet, so I know what will be thrilled. Have a great day.

Pam

Julie Great job on Cardio Kicks. I know you enjoy it when Cathe brings the men up to the front. So glad that you ordered the yoga for flexibility. Let me know how you like it.

Pam Good work on Tracy Staehles Step Sweatfest. I m glad that you were OK when you fell. It is so easy to do when you are trying to do moves that you are not familiar with. It would have been disappointing for your mom not to come home when she thought she was. That is good that she doesn't need a heart monitor.

This morning was Intensity. That is a tough one and another one that I haven't done in a while. I did pretty good but the high impact Hiit pretty much too my breath away. I am glad that we end with the low impact Hiit. After that we went out to my parents to rake up some more leaves for them and to take my dad to a car rental place so he could rent a car. Theirs broke down yesterday and they won't get it back for several days and he needs to go to the cancer clinic tomorrow so they needed a car. It would have been another really nice day if it wasn't for the fog. It didn't lift all day long and in some places it was so thick you could hardly see in front of you. It is eerie when the fog is that thick.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

This morning I did PUQ and GG. I am so ready for this weekend! I have had a really busy week. I am actually leaving work early today to get a jump start on the weekend.

Pam Great job on TS’s Step Sweatfest! Scary falling during the step routine. That is lucky you didn’t hurt yourself. I have had scares like that and been lucky not to break or sprain anything. I am glad your mom is doing better and can come home. I hate hospitals and have been lucky to never have to stay in one overnight for myself. I did stay twice overnight when DH had surgery. That was fun sleeping on the chairs.

Cheryl Great job on Intensity! I find the step portion the hardest especially the last segment. The hi hiit is tough too. I always get a sigh of relief when the li hiit comes up. Oh that stinks about the car. Glad he was able to rent one though. I hate driving in the fog. It is always scary to me not being able to see but a few feet in front of me.

Have a great weekend!

Cheryl Great job on Intensity. I am always so relieved when I get to the low Hiit in that one. It feels like such an accomplishment to make it! Oh thick fog is really eerie. It’s unusual for it to stay around all day too. It definitely makes driving a challenge!

Julie Great job obj PUQ and GG. I was so relieved I didn’t sprain my ankle when I fell yesterday! Oh boy, sleeping in a chair at the hospital sounds like no fun at all. I haven’t even done that before.

This morning I did Ramped up upper body. That one goes by really fast. It does seem like some of the body parts get worked a lot more than others though. Then I did the abs from High Step Training. My mom was so happy to get home from the hospital yesterday and she seems to be doing just fine. It is looking like it may have been one of her blood pressure medications that was causing the problems. Hopefully that was it. Have a great day!

Pam

Julie Good work on PUQ and GG. Nice that you could get a jump start on the weekend.

Pam Great job on RUUB and the abs from High Step Training. Glad that your mom is home from the hospital and that it was her meds that were causing the problems.

This morning was Slide and Glide. then I got the laundry and housework done. It was another foggy day here again.

Have a great weekend.

Cheryl

Cheryl Great job on slide and slide and housework. We had a cold rainy day yesterday. It’s hard to complain because we need the rain so badly, but I didn’t want to go outside!

This morning was Hiit 30/30. It’s still cold and rainy today, but I guess I will drag myself out to go to the grocery store. Have a great day!

Pam

Quick post. DH's father passed away Sunday morning. We spent all day at the funeral home making arrangements. Tomorrow we are going through pictures for display at the service on Friday. Ozzie is also supposed to get chemo tomorrow and Sheba is getting dental surgery if she can pass a clotting test. They have to cut back her gums but her blood wasn't clotting on Saturday so they sent us home with pills that will hopefully help. Sorry I can't post normally and probably won't be able to again until Wednesday.

Pam I know what you mean about it being cold and rainy and not wanting to go outside. Good job on Hiit 30/30.

Julie I am so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. {{{HUGS}}} to both you and your DH. Was this sudden or had he been sick for a while? You are going to have a very busy week with the funeral arrangements and your fur babies. Post when you are able to, we will be here for you.

Saturday morning I went to try out a bootcamp which is taught by the person who will be doing our dry land training. It was outside and it was a cold and foggy morning. She did a lot of band work especially for the shoulders which need to be strong for dragon boating. Sunday I was going to do yoga but the day got away from me and I didn't get it done. We did get outside though and enjoyed the nice weather. Today was Crossfire and bonus abs. In the afternoon I went for a walk, taking advantage of the nice weather we are having.

Cheryl

Julie So sorry to hear about your DHs father I will be thinking about you and the whole family. It will certainly be a long hard week.

Cheryl So glad to hear you are getting some nice weather. Great job on your boot camp class. Too bad the day got away from you and you didn’t get your yoga done, I know how that can happen! Great job on Crossfire and bonus abs!

Sunday was my rest day and I mostly had a lazy day. I did a little laundry and some errands, but we broke out a 2000 piece puzzle and got all involved in that. Yesterday morning my GF and I went on a 28 mile bike ride, then I ran some errands, and then I had a girls night out for dinner. This morning I did the original boot camp. I was really tired so it was hard, but I made it through. Have a great day.

Pam

Pam It is nice to have a lazy day every once in awhile. Oh wow a 2000 piece puzzle!!!!! I bet that took some time to complete. Good job on your 28 mile bike ride and the original boot camp with being so tired.

This morning was Great Glutes and in the afternoon I got some errands done.

Cheryl

Cheryl Oh we definitely haven’t finished the puzzle yet, still picking way at it. Great job on GG and errands.

This morning i did the x52 mix of x10. This one has LI, cardio blast, and fat burning circuit. I considering adding one of the other sections at the end, but changed my mind . Now it’s laundry and housework. Have a great day!

Pam
