Does any one know of Step dvd's that are comparable to Cathe's Step. I like to do only "All Step" dvd's like: Low Max, Rythmic Step, Power Max, Step Blast, IMAX 2. I am wanting to buy a different disc from another instructor just for variety (still a die hard Catheite;-) ). Does anyone have any suggestions? Again all step only please and comparable to cathe in intensity. Thanks in advance!

Yolanda,
You might like Tracey Staehle's Step Sweatfest. I think the intensity is about the same as Cathe's.

Good luck!

I'd check out Kelley Coffey-Meyer (think I'm spelling her name right). Great music, choreography and more athletic in style. Amy Bento I've heard is great too, however I only have her kickbox workout which is fantastic. (Kickbox Xtreme).

I would highly recommend Seasun Zeiger. She is a little more advanced / dancy than Cathe (think 4DS) but totally doable. I think she breaks it down "just right" and her cuing is very good. Her videos are about 45 to an hour in length and are all step, with some abs usually tacked on the end. Great instructor! And a hard workout once you get the steps down and give it your all!

Like you, I love all step workouts, but other instructors I have tried will spend so much time breaking it down and I end up falling asleep when I do step-touch side to side while they explain everything! If you are up for a challenge choreography-wise, get Seasun. She has 4 or 5 videos:

Straight Up Step
Rock Steady Step
The Next Step
and a bosu workout

Enjoy!

Amy Bento is my favorite when it comes to fun, intense, athletic yet more complex choreogrpahy, tough, higher impact steady state step. Advanced Step Challenge and Advanced Step Challenge 2 are gems! ASC is one of her first offerings so the production isn't that great but still worth owning in my opinion. ASC 2 is my current favorite step workout. Some complained about her cueing and the loudness of the music but I think this workout is pretty close to perfection. The music is just slighty louder then Amy's voice and her cueing is spot on in my opnion. I hate laborious, lengthy, detailed cues and breakdowns b/c I have to hear it every single time I do the workout. There is a learning curve with Amy but it is so much fun once you learn the workout and I appreciate the just enough cueing, especially the 100th time I do the workout...LOL!

I still enjoy High Intensity Step Mix by Tracey Staehle. HISM is fun without too much laborious breakdown. Be leanient on the production values as this is one of Tracey's first as well.

I do like Gay Gasper's All Out Infused Step b/c the music rocks and the choreography is fun and goes so well with the music but I wouldn't call it complex.

Edited to add that we will probably get moderated b/c this should be in open discussion when discussing other instructors...ooops!:)
