So where are all the good chick flicks?

Fun thread! Here are some of my favorites..

In Her Shoes...loved it!

P.S. I Love You...*sniffs* tearjerker!

Pretty Woman...love Julia, love Cinderella...such a romantic, fun movie!

The Holiday..okay, it stars Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz and Jude Law, not sure if that is the name, but loved this movie! I wanted to live in that wee little house Cameron's character stayed in!

Sex and the City--the movie...what can I say? Loved the scene where Charlotte screams at Mr. Big to stay away from Carrie after he fails to show up at their wedding, I cried, I did.

Dangerous Liasons--I spelled that wrong, but love Michelle in this period movie.

How to lose a guy in 10 days--I do not really like Kate Hudson, but this was such a cute movie!

300 - The ultimate chick flick

Gerard Butler and his hot actor friends in loin cloths for 2 hours...pass the popcorn.

Oh yea, what about PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, the mini-series (not the dumb movie version). It's flat-out perfect, from start to finish. And what about Colin Firth, coming up out of the lake, all wet and dripping, running into a clearly-flustered Elizabeth Bennet (played by the awesome Jennifer Ehle).

The whole thing is mind-porn for women. Yea.

I just saw The Painted Veil. Totally character-driven, satisfying ending, and it really stuck with me after I saw it. Very mellow but completely engrossing.

But...my favorite of all time: West Side Story. One of the most captivating love stories of all time set to the best score and dancing ever! Enjoy:

And I am sorry but I love Gone with the Wind
I can't help it:eek:

Not sure if this counts, but I just saw "Flawless" last night with Demi Moore and Michael Caine. It was very good, I was pleasantly suprised. Rented it from Netflix.

Other classics: When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail.
May be of interest: The Painted Veil (Naomi Watts, Edward Norton), Set-It-Off (Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith), Atonement (Kira Knightly)

FourAM, it's not a new movie, but if you haven't seen it, you MUST see FIRST WIVE'S CLUB. It is my favorite middle-age chick flick of all time and I've seen it countless times and still enjoy it. Okay, it's not very kind to men, but it's hilarious and will make you feel all warm and fuzzy at the end. :)
