So apparently overnight DOESN'T MEAN overnight!

Ordered overnight shipping. Got the quantum e-mail notification y'day. Scheduled for delivery today. So far so good. UPS man comes today - no STS. WTH? Click on the link - RESCHEDULED for delivery tomorrow!

Called UPS. I'm 30 miles away from Cleveland. It arrived in Clevleland at 7:00 a.m. And they cannot get it out to me. I called and asked if I ordered and paid for overnight and now it's 2nd day, who remiburses me? They said no one because there were adverse weather conditions in Louisville Ky, and my package came through there. So if there are adverse weather conds - overnight DOES NOT mean overnight and you are out the money you paid for that shipping. EVEN though they have had my package since 7:00 A.M. I am SOOOOOOOO angry!

Breathe deeply. No one has died or been maimed (I don't think) as a result of this tragedy. We're all excited, but it's really not the end of the world. You've waited over a year, I'd be willing to bet you'll last one more night. Cathe can't control UPS or the weather.

No - I'm just mad that I paid for overnight and it's HERE, less than half and hour away, and no one can get it here.

How frustating Lorrie:mad: I understand your need to vent. Mine's scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Hopefully my package won't run into any "adverse weather conditions".

Oh boy! I have been so angry before at UPS and FedEx that I have called and been *this close* to driving there and tearing the place apart to get my package...and kicking some butt at the same time!

I agree that if she paid for overnight delivery she should GET overnight delivery. If they can't honor the agreement for some reason, there should at least be a partial refund of fees.

I understand your frustration, Lorrie. I'm due to get mine tomorrow but I live very close to Louisville and we're expecting more bad weather tonight. Makes me think I might not get mine either.:(

Lorrie,

I do not blame you for being angry. Since you paid for overnight (extra money), you should have gotten it overnight or reimbursed the difference. I know you realize that this is not Cathe's fault.

That happened to me once before, when waiting for another one of Cathe's preorders. They were a day late and I was PO'd!

My thing is my UPS driver hasn't even come down my driveway all winter. He will set my UPS package on the roadside underneath my mailbox or hang is on one of the four dumpsters at the end of our easement. I do not want my STS to be left on the road or hanging on a dumpster. What if I didn't see it or something, and it got hit by a car or dumped into a waste hauler?

I will have to go up to the end of my easement numerous times tomorrow, just to get it out of the elements.

Good luck!

Cheryl

Hey Lorrie....and with the weather you're supposed to get tomorrow. GEESH! I spoke with your DH about this earlier (did he mention I called?) and feel for you!!!!

HUGS!

Gayle

UPS is always doing this to me -- not overnight turning into 2nd day, but 2nd day turning into sometimes a week. For where I live, UPS sucks.

I hate UPS. I mean I HATE UPS. And you know what? Even UPS hates UPS. I have had so many UPS staff people tell me that they hate their company and recommend that I use another one. So many companies use UPS to ship to Canada and it costs us a fortune in customs brokerage fees. I'm so glad Cathe no longer does that.

I am thinking the same thing will happen to me Rhondalyn. So close but yet so far. I will be happy if it comes. If not, I am sure it will be here on Thursday.

Now THAT'S why ya' need to be nice to your UPS guy. And truly I've never had a problem with my guy. HE'S great. I haven't seen him since pre-holiday, and I had a Christmas gift for him. Saw expected delivery today and e-mailed UPS to tell them to tell him to go to my front door when he delivered to get his gift. You know STS didn't come this a.m., but he did -- and got his gift.

BUT when I called and they said "adverse weather..." I did ask if I could go pick it up. My UPS guy just came BACK with it! The call went out asking where the best place would be to drop it for me to go get it. He heard the call and the addy and went out of his way to pick it up and bring it to me. So it pays to be nicely persistent. Happy dance happy dance.

So happy that worked for you -- I was going to suggest that if its only 30 minutes away if you wanted to pick it up yourself. The FedEx place that delivers to my workplace is walking distance so if there's a holdup for the weekend, I just call ahead and just pick it up after or before I have to do an experiment. I do hate UPS though. It used to be better over here but I had talked to some people at the sortation center and they basically said that a new change in the structure has made them suck more. All of the delivery guys I know do go a bit extra if they can help someone out. Nice to hear the same for you.

Great news Lorrie!!!:D Now that's what I call customer service. It does pay to be nice.:) Now start previewing so you can give us a review.(Just kidding:p
