Oh Shelley, not you... I remember when I was waiting at the restaurant for the Texas gals, and I kept thinking, "Maybe this is a mistake, maybe I should just go home," and then I saw them coming. The first one I saw was Nadine, who is tall and pretty and has a smile that can disarm the most defensive person. And then Shonie came up from behind her and in a flash she was beside me, and while she gave me a hug she said, "You're Pinky? I always thought you were blonde!" And that just broke the ice. I laughed, then whispered to her, "How can I be blonde? I'm Asian!" And I got hugs from Nadine and Laura, then later Marla and Jes came in, and it was great from there. So great that a lady from another table came over to ask what our gathering was all about, if this was the first time we all met each other. Then later, an elderly gentleman from yet another table actually joined us when we were taking pictures. I guess the fun we had was contagious. I KNOW the road trip will be even more fun, so don't have second thoughts.;-)
