HI, sorry to hear about your set-back, BUT, how about making a step tape & giving it to us for free with the pre-orders. You have had our money earning interest for you, just a thought. OR possibly letting us have a pick of a free tape from the current collecion of DVD

Obviously not Cathe, but I was so upset when I read this email that I felt compelled to respond.

For all of us who pre-ordered, we did it because we (a) love Cathe and her workouts, and (b)know that it is a financial benefit for us to preorder. Cathe has made it clear that we can ask for a refund at any time, so for those of us still investing in the preorder, it is of our own free will.

I think it is important for all of us to remember that Cathe could have filmed these videos already, at much less than 100%, but because of the integrity she has, she wants to wait until she is 100% and can produce workouts that are of the finest quality.

Most important, it is important to remember that sometimes it's just not about the money--in life, other things comes first. Cathe is injured, and we should all be sympathetic to that, and we should be praying for her fast and full recovery--not just for ourselves, but most of all, for her!! I don't know about you all, but I would be going CRAZY if I were injured and couldn't work out at 100% for a prolonged period of time. Cathe does NOT need the additional stress of us on her right now.

Here we go -- WARNING - WARNING - DANGER WILL ROBINSON! Looks like another thread that has the potiential to get waaaayyyyyy out of line, evoking too much emotion and no productivity. As I say when I see these - run for your lives! (Except you Cathe - have someone carry you - I really do want you to heal completely - for your own sake!)

I totally agree with Dukechick. I wouldn't dream of looking for compensation for Cathe's injury! I think to 99.9% of us here, Cathe is NOT a business. I am so grateful for her work and am proud to support her in what she does, both with my money, and moral support. Any money she gets from me is an investment into MY future.

I was glad to see that when Cathe reported her frustrating news, that all everyone wanted was for her to get better once and for all.

I totally agree 100% with your post. Being injured is such a frustrating thing. I can't imagine trying to recover from an injury while in the midst of trying to film, and stay on a schedule, etc.
I preordered because I'm positive that whatever Cathe produces will be exceptional and worth WAITING for. I understand that this is a business but there is a human being behind every business, putting their heart and soul into something they believe in. Life happens to people, be in injuries, sickness, whatever, and I think we need to learn to be more compassionate towards eachother with NO strings attached.
Take care of yourself Cathe! We'll all be here when you get better!

You got that right!! Cathe is NOT a business, she is a motivator a very great motivator not to mention a great instructor as well. I have been workout WITH Cathe for over 2 years now and everytime life gives me a hurdle to jump over I giggle at it and say, it can't be worse than anything Cathe can throw at me. }(

If Cathe were a business she would not have the support of all of us that love her so dearly. What business does anyone know of that has support from their customers like Cathe does.

Even if she did offer a "freebee" because of the delay I wouldn't be interested. I am thankful for the ability to preorder at a discount and that is good enough for me. I am also pleased that Cathe will not record a workout unless she is 100%.

A comment about "your making interest off our money" was just plan out wrong and rude!! And does not speak for me in any way shape or from.

Thank you Cathe for always keeping us updated and looking forward to our next workout with you!!
 
Cathe IS a person, but folks, please, she is running a business. She had my hard earned money since september so I decided to cancel my preorder yesterday. I have faith in her and I love her workouts but I decided to buy some other workouts that are already available. No big deal. To tell you the truth if there was some kind of compensation offered I may have held out longer. Yes by preordering you are getting a great deal on the workouts, but due to this unfortunate delay that great deal just doesn't seem so great to me anymore. The wait is too long. I could be benefitting from other workouts at this point. Of course I don't want Cathe to produce something before she is ready. Of course I want her to get better. I absolutley feel bad that she is going through this and I wish her the very best in her recovery. But COME ON PEOPLE! There is nothing wrong with someone asking for a little compensation for having had their money invested for such a long time possibly to even to help them decide if they want to continue to do so at this point. That is their business. I wouldn't ask for it, but, EVERYONE here has a right to their own opinion. STEP OFF!!
 
Thank you, apparently you understrand the b usiness side of things too.. I really could not believe how worked up all these people became over my comment. You would think I ws trying to steal their first born.}(

Additionally, just for the record, as a consumer and customer, I am appalled about the responses to this persons request pretty much to the point that I may not come to this site again. The message was directed to Cathe on the ask Cathe site and instead of answering a valid request Cathe responded favorably to the post that slammed the person asking the question. I don't think I want to do business here anymore. Goodbye and Goodluck. Peace out..

Yes I also found Cathe's response pretty amazing for a business woman. I agree with you, I am out of here too. These people should really get a life & not take writings on a message board on the internet so seriously. I am sure this will now start a new avalance of indignant responses

I do not think it was your request for compensation that irkes so many. Cathe had already stated in her update that she was thinking about a type of "thank you". Now, of course that could mean anything....who knows? I can't see why she would offer any extras, however, when SNM has repeatedly stated we always can cancel our pre-orders, and even advises people not to pre-order if they feel waits are too long or they need to know more details up front.

Personally, it was the "tone" of your post that bothered me. I replied but deleted before posting, because I thought, "I do not know this woman, and I can't read into her post whether she is being sarcastic, (which is how I initally took it), or curious, or what? It felt callous to me when I read it, but you could be the warmest, most empathetic person who just doesn't convey that part of yourself in writing. Without seeing your facial expression or body language, nobody can really know the tone of what you wrote. I took it like, "well, too bad for you, but what about me?" I also thought the title of your post was confusing....

I am so with you -- I pre-ordered my tapes because I absolutely LOVE Cathe. I don't care how long it takes, I will wait. I know she could have gone ahead and filmed them, but she wouldn't have been at 100% (as she knows), so she is not going to do that. I admire her for waiting until she can give it her all. I have so many exercise tapes, but Cathe is the only one I use day in and day out. I will wait!!
 
Sure it is a business...we all know that, but it wouldn't be a very successful one if you had to throw in free stuff everytime you pissed someone off.You wouldn't know if cathe was home twiddling her thumbs and pouting saying "I don't wanna go to work"!
Can you imagine how much money it cost to make a workout and then give it to everyone for free? Thats the most rediculous thing I have heard of.Nothing like asking for another dyna band or a workout ball....sure just give us a free dvd and while your at it...can we have your kids to? S-T-U-P-I-D I don't speak my mind very often but this topic is just nuts! And I don't care who takes offense, Cathe is injured and any decent person wouldn't be looking for ways to benefit from it!

Edited to add: I think what ircked me so much is that my DH use to work for a business that tried to keep the public happy.They were constantly looking for free stuff and no matter what he did, it was never good enough for some.There are always people out there trying to take advantage of ever situation possible.I seen my DH with way to many sleepness nights b/c of peoples expectations and I don't think any person should have to go through that!
 
Hi...I am new to Cathe (about six months; that's new around here though, right?), and this is my first post. I think this is ridiculous...I preordered as well, and am looing forward to getting the new DVD's...WHEN CATHE IS FULLY RECOVERED. It is something to look forward to for both her and us. In my opinion, from a business stand point, you have a right to a refund; so just get the refund! Why should Cathe have to send out hundreds or thousands of free videos at $20+ a pop because she accidently hurt herself? How Rude!!!


Cathe, I sincerely hope you feel better soon...I know how I would feel if I were injured and could not work out; and that's just me. I can not imagine how frustrated you must be! Oh, and by the way, thanks for making such great videos...I am seven months postpartum and a well toned size three thanks to you! I would hug you if I saw you!
