Questions for Lift, Move & Restore 2 Elevated - Questions??

Debinmi

Cathlete
Cathe/SNM - I read your email announcing the current tier of the presale will be ending March 31. I have not yet pre-ordered as I have a few questions and was hoping for more details from you before I ordered:

1) You said this series will be "elevated". I found the original LMR to be several 'notches" below your usual intensity - more like 'beginner-friendly' and as you often say "if it doesn't challenge you, it will not change you". The main challenges to me with the original LMR were the balance challenges. I enjoyed the novelty of the fusion workouts, however, I just will not be using them on a regular basis - maybe for recovery workouts or coming back after an illness/injury, but not for my usual Cathe monthly rotations. How elevated will this new series be? You said "slightly" heavier weights will be used - what's that specifically? Will a Cathlete who has been working out with you for years find this challenging (aside from the balance challenges)?

2) The cardio is low-impact, however, what will be the intensity level? Will these be mostly steady state or will there be some intervals and higher intensity?

3) Will the 4 bonus-download weight workouts be chaptered? Will they be filmed in your studio or in the gym like a LIVE? How are they split? Are they "express" workouts? Does the offer of these bonus workouts expire after the price increase?

Please respond before the price increase. Thank you!

OK, in a previous post, forum admin stated that the main workouts would be chaptered, as always,....
will the 4 low impact cardio "bonus" workouts be chaptered as well, like the low impact cardio bonus
in LMR? I am hoping so..............it just makes it so much easier to skip a particular move if you don't like
or unable to do, and of course, gives more variety & choices when using the blender.

Oh, if I pre-order and discover Elevated is not really for me after more details come out, and cancel my order, but, say I've already downloaded one or more of the bonus weight workouts that are supposed to be released gradually throughout the pre-sale ... what happens with those? Do I get to keep them? - I'm thinking it would be hard to send them back (or do they somehow self-destruct like in Mission Impossible LOL)?

From her post about the cardio bonuses in the series, she does mention one will be HiiT. Not sure about the intensity of the other cardio, though she mentions "options for mixed impact" which would up the intensity.

Good questions - I admit I was assuming something akin to LITE, or possibly ICE for intensity, but I may be entirely wrong.

Don't get me started on businesses having licensing rights to your digital content. I hope Cathe never goes that route (in regards to the bonus downloads question - if you cancel your pre-order. Definitely curious how they'd handle that, though.)

Yes, I was sadly wrong about the original LMR cuz Cathe said they would not be easy by any means ... I made the assumption they would be similar to Cathe's usual intensity, and at least as intense as LITE or ICE - but that wasn't the case IMO. So I'd like more details so as to not be surprised or disappointed. I may/most likely still get them, but at least I'll know and won't be disappointed.

I knew they were going to be less intense, but they ended up being much easier than I expected. I was assuming maybe a little bit lighter than the Ice Series. I think the elevated program is probably what I was looking for originally. But it would also love more details before purchasing.

I enjoy both ICE & LITE and often include them in 12-week long rotations like STS, Xtrain, STS2.0 as recovery/back-off weeks, and whenever I'm looking for less intense. And when I increase the weights used, they can be quite intense - so they're very versatile for me. I'll use LMR in the same way - altho I haven't fully figured out the sweet spot for the weights to use yet.

However, I felt a bit mislead with the hype during the presale of LMR & didn't expect them to be so beginner-friendly. I would like to know what to expect ... a "little" more intense than LMR - like maybe an advanced beginner, or more intermediate along the lines of ICE and LITE?, or something else? I enjoy LMR, but it has its limitations, for me at least.

As I age into my 70's and 80's, I hope to be able to lift as I do in series like STS2, Xtrain, P30, 4DS, etc. I know I can't do impact like I used to, so low impact is appreciated with the options for some mixed. And I know the balance, agility and mobility work is important. I may find LMR2 to be grand and be grateful to have them in the next few decades. I'm just looking for more info on what to expect, so there's no surprises and no disappointment.

Excellent questions. I found LMR too easy to put in a rotation. I used it once for a recovery week, and again when I had a cold. I also have been on the fence about the new series. How ELEVATED is it, will it be more useful to me than last year's?
Because I already have last year's, and I have LITE and ICE, and I don't need another easy series, to be blunt. Are the bonus weight lifting routines serious or are they going to be in line with LMR?

That's what I have been pondering also. How different will this series be? And how elevated? Cuz I don't need something similar.

Good questions! She did say they'd be heavy-weight workouts. But she hasn't given a breakdown - will they be total body? Upper/Lower splits? A 3-day split with a TB? Or a 4-day split?

How long will they be? 20 minutes? 30? 40? 50-60?

Well, I guess I am the “oddball” here, :), but personally I was satisfied with LMR and
it’s intensity :) and personally hope these are not “fully elevated”...and agreed on the
above, low impact….as far as how heavy the weights will be or not be, I will use the
weights I want & not care a bit…Cathe said something in a recent Live that has stuck
with me…”You do you & I’ll do me!” With aging, back, hip, knee flareups, more often
than I like, I know what I can & cannot do, modify if I need to and enjoy it most of the
time. :)

I did preorder today, but feel that more info on these should be given before presale
ends.

Totally agree!!

I pretty much agree with the INTENSITY bit of the discussion. I am expecting a more intense program. How intense? Well more of the 8 reps 10 reps from STS 2 with balance, coordination challenge working unilaterally.
This may sound crazy to some but yes. As I recently mentioned you do you .
As Cathe always say, it's your workout.

Yes, when the pre-sale came out for the first LMR Cathe did indeed say "these won't be easy by any means". However, I personally found the functional weight workouts on the level for a beginner just starting out, and do feel like I was intentionally mislead. I like LMR balance work, mobility, cardio bonus, but I am disappointed with some of the rest.
