PYGFO in March!!!!

I everyone. I am so sorry that I've been a checkin slacker lately. I am still plugging along. I need to read this thread and catch up with all of you. I've been chanelling all my energy into the STS threads. I am so excited for these, I can't wait for them to be released. I have my gym all set up and ready to go.

I miss you guys though. I really really hope there is another road trip. I had made up my mind that if there was one that I would skip it this year, but then I talked to Vicki over the weekend and she said she would definitely go if they have one...so I asked my DH just casually, "if there's another road trip this year, can I go?" And he said I could, so I think I will try if they announce it.

Speaking of Vicki, she wants me to send everyone her love. She has a lot going on right now and she just doesn't have time for the boards. There is a lot going on with the boys' band right now. They are playing a gig for THE POPE in NY in April. This is a huge deal, only 5 acts were selected out of about 500 who applied. So they really have their hands full with that and recording their new album. But she does send everyone her love and hopefully we can all be reunited on the next RT.

I hope to be back later this week after I've had a chance to catch up.

Hi Tess
I don't really remember you on the road trip or even if you remember me but it's nice to hear from you:) I think it's good that we stay in touch so for the next road trip, for me anyways, it will be more comfortable.

PYGFO Sisters:

After my prayer time this morning, I had a blast with the Body Max 2 cardio and weights premix. This is my favorite way to enjoy this workout. The choreography is pretty simple, but Cathe included a lot of fun moves in this one. The ab and core work is super challenging. The balancing snow angels are still way out my league.

My boss was in Dallas today, so I enjoyed a peaceful and productive day at work. I am thankful that the stress has subsided so I can focus on my fitness journey again and give more energy to my workouts.

Chris updated the blog tonight and shared that the filming of STS is 60 percent complete. Yippee! Cathe is filming from early in the morning until late at night. She is a bundle of energy. I cannot imagine keeping up with that pace for a month. I am loving the blog pictures and looking forward to the preview party!

I need to start winding down and getting ready for bed. My nutrition and workouts are right on target. My sleep schedule needs to be more consistent. When I start STS, rest will be even more important.

Lara, orange always reminds me of Cathe because her logo is orange. I love all tulips, but pink and white are my favorites. I love beautiful peach tulips too. White tulips and blue iris are a striking combination as well. I am praying for your baby and hope the doctor calls to assure you that your little one is fine.

Randi, I actually prefer capris or pants for a more polished and professional look. I am pretty modest by nature. Cathe has the body for short shorts. She would look good in anything! I think she looked cute in the denim shorts she was wearing during the Road Trip Saturday afternoon. I like the look of pants during workouts though. I love, love, love the outfits in STS (not counting the veggie green outfit). I also love the outfits in Butts and Guts, Body Max 2, Low Max, and IMAX3 (with the cute bra tops). We may see her abs in Ab Circuits. When Cathe starting wearing more modest clothes in the 4-Day Split, I really noticed how radiantly beautiful she is. Covering her abs draws attention to her face. You can dream about Cathe’s abs. As for me, I want to see the pecs on the guys! LOL!

Tess! I jumped for joy when I saw your post! Welcome back! I have been missing you and Vicki and Michelle and Robin. And where oh where is Gin? I was check-in challenged for a season too. I am getting back on track. This one is nice and small, so I do not feel overwhelmed by all the posts. I am so sorry about the loss of your kitty. How is Pookie? Is he grieving? I have been thinking you a note but have not been online as much lately and kept forgetting to send it. Oh, yes, I am hoping to be blessed with the opportunity to attend another Road Trip. It will be sad if all of us are not able to get in again, but I am sure it will sell out faster than ever. If we do not make it, I would love to plan a Road Trip reunion retreat.

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

Today I did LIC cardio timesaver plus blasts and abs. It was not what I planned to do, but oh well. I had to go get my allergy shots after work and got back later than I thought. There was a new nurse there, and she did not do a very good job on my right arm. It is so sore and was bleeding. I still can't move my arm very well, so I had to cancel my weight lifting plans. Hopefully, it will feel better tomorrow!

Randi...Thanks for keeping me in your prayers! I have noticed that Cathe doesn't show her legs and abs as much anymore, but I am not sure why. Of course, she looks amazing no matter what she wears! I would love to go on the RT, but I am not sure it would be possible this summer. I guess it depends on when it would be. I will be so sad, but I would definitely plan on making the next one!!!

Tess...I am so excited about all of the blog pics for STS! I am hoping I can at least do the 1st mesocycle before the baby arrives. I bet Vicki is staying incredibly busy! Please tell her hello. I am so sorry about your kitty also. Pets are so special. I hope Pookie is doing better.

Heather...It sounds like everything is going well for you this week. WTG!! I am glad you had a peaceful day at work. White tulips and blue iris do sound pretty. I am so glad to have fresh flowers in the house again. DH also got me some for V-day, but before that, it had been a full year!! He used to get me flowers all the time. I guess that is just what happens when you've been together for 11 years!! LOL at the men and their pecs! Thank you for keeping us in your prayers!!

I guess I should get ready for bed since I have a long work day tomorrow. I am hoping to get up early and get on the TM before work, but we'll see. Have a great day!

Good Morning:)
AHH another 4:30 am workout dayx( Have to work this morning:( I will be doing back and shoulders from 4DS and abs not sure which one. No cardio today need to lay off my legs. Just one day a week I don't do cardio, not including leg days. I had a horrible dream last night! Some one broke into my house and sliced all my dumbells in half and broke all my Cathe DVDS! It was sooooooooo real it seemed like. I was so upset!
Heather I think her new workout uniforms are more professional and a nice polished look as well, your right I dont like the puke green colorx( Even if she wears pants and a bra top it would still be awesome (like Imax 3) I love her abs!! And I do agree with you it brings out her face more, she is soooooooo beautiful!
Yes showing the guys pecs on the guys LOL!!
Lara great workout yesterday. I hope your arm feels better today!
I would love to go on the next road trip but i'm worried I wont be the 100th one. Also talking to people on here will help by at least knowing someone and have somebody to talk to if that makes since. I was so overwelmed last one.

Have a great day ladies
Off to workout
Randi

Hi everyone. OK I think I'm caught up now after reading all the posts. I need to do better at checking in more often. I promise I will try.

My workouts are going good. I've been doing shorter, more efficient workouts and HIIT for cardio. I am having great results. I'm really doing my own thing but its kind of a cross between NROL and Pyramids. I am doing HIIT and abs one day, Upper body the next, lower body after that, rest and repeat. I'm varying my weight and rep patterns like this - 1st workout 8 reps with heaviest weight I can handle, 2-3 sets. 2nd workout 8-10 reps with same weight, 2-3 sets, 3rd workout 10-12 reps with same weight. Then repeat with a slightly heavier weight on the next workout. I'm starting to shed fat / lbs for the first time in awhile. I'm loving my squat rack and bench press. I really feel like I can go heavier and push myself more than I have been.

Randi - I do remember you from the RT. I think your hair was blonde then? I don't think we had a chance to chat, but I knew who you were from our checkin before the RT started. I'm glad to see you posting. Your pics are great, BTW. You look so healthy and fit!

Heather - thanks for posting about your easter outreach this year. I remember your post from last year and am glad that you had the chance to do it again. I love the t-shirt. Oh and I was laughing out loud when I read your comments about the veggie green outfits. Asparagus comes to mind. Now I'm going to be thinking about that when I'm doing those workouts. :) Thanks for your kind words about Zeus. I do feel better now and it was a huge help to get all the support I did from this board. Pookie is actually not grieving at all. I think he does much better as an only cat. He is being much sweeter and keeps following me around. Before he was more indifferent, but now he wants all my attention. It has been a welcome change since Zeus was always so affectionate.

Lara - I am sure you have nothing to worry about with the test. I'm sure your baby is strong and healthy (like his or her mama). I am anxious to find out the gender as well. It sounds like you are doing good keeping up with your workouts.

Laura - That is great that you have been able to make good use of the gym. I do know what you mean about the poor form. I used to do body pump classes 3x per week at the gym and some of the ladies just had no clue. The instructor did her best to correct form problems, but its hard with such large class sizes. I hope you are doing well.

Gin, Liann, Robin, Vicki, Michelle and everyone else - I miss you guys!! Robin, I hope you had a nice trip. Liann, your workout room is awesome! Vicki, Gin and Michelle - love ya guys!!

Hi to all PYGFOers!

Today I ran 3 miles and then did B&G. Ouchie Mama on those one legged squats and low pulse lunges. They get me EVERY time!}( x(

Lara--How is your arm? Ouch! I assume that you have still not heard from the dr.? No news is good news. How are your yearly assignments going? I have to fill out the conference sheets for my kids, but I'm sure they are not nearly as detailed as yours.

Heather--What a loving and giving person you are to do what you did on Good Friday!:* Do we need to contact others in our area concerning May 17th? A RT reunion sounds good to me...I'm in!

Randi--You had quite a nightmare. I would wake up in a cold sweat if I dreamed about someone smashing all of my Cathe dvds!! I would love to go on the next RT. Just concerned about getting in! I have also noticed that Cathe wears longer tops and pants.

Tess--Great to see you posting here! Thanks for filling us in on Vicki! Tell her hello! So exciting about her boys playing for the Pope!!

Take care and hi to all others....Liann, Robin, Michelle, Laura
Gin:)

PYGFO Sisters:

Wow! There was a party in the PYGFO thread while I was at work! It is so nice to see so many posts!

After my prayer time this morning, I kicked my metabolism into high gear with the Kick Max boot camp challenge premix. I am so thankful for all the premixes Cathe includes on her DVDs because I enjoy some of them more than the workouts as filmed. The blast challenge is a fun rebounder workout! It is super intense without jarring my joints. I love bouncing on my rebounder, and I get higher than a kite from the endorphin rush. Tuck jumps are a blast on my rebounder.

I need to rest and recharge for my morning workout. I am planning to give the 4-Day Split Boot Camp circuit premix a whirl for the first time.

Lara, I hope your arm feels better. I am confident that Cathe will deliver STS as soon as she can without compromising the quality. You may get through the endurance mesocycle before the little one arrives!

Randi, I am so sorry that you were overwhelmed during the Road Trip. I wish I had known! I was a bit overwhelmed myself. I am the opposite of shy, so that was not the problem. It was such an emotional experience for me. Before meeting y’all, I was intimated about being around so many fit and beautiful people like you and Cathe at my size. I experienced so much love and acceptance that weekend. It was amazing. I cried when I had to leave my beloved Road Trip sisters and return to reality. I was also tired beyond description that weekend. A month before the Road Trip, I learned that someone I care about was enduring personal trials and a broken heart. I had a lot of sleepless nights of prayer over that situation. After the high of meeting the early birds Thursday night, meeting Cathe and experiencing my first Cathe step class Friday morning, meeting so many online friends for the first time Friday night, and running as hard as I could during the Saturday morning kickboxing class, I crashed and burned Saturday afternoon. I hope God blesses me with a do-over on this. I gave a lot of Heather hugs and took over 200 pictures, but I did not meet everyone. When I filled out the survey, I suggested more social time instead of a guest speaker. I would love to return and be a blessing to people the way I was blessed. I believe the second time would be a different experience entirely. I definitely want to be in better shape and bless my body with more sleep and good nutrition before the next Road Trip.

Tess, my friend’s Prissy is happier now that she is an only kitty. I think Persians like to be the center of attention. LOL about the asparagus. I am looking on the bright side and believing that outfit will make me crave veggies! And only Cathe as petite as she is can get away with wearing that color from head to toe! You would not want to see anything other than black or navy blue on my butt unless it is covered by an extra large tee shirt!

Gin, we need to talk and decide what we want to do that day. As soon as we have a game plan, we can invite others. Hillsboro with the Nike factory store is halfway between us. Are there any good eating places there? You talked about coming down here, so I will see if there is anything fun planned for that weekend. Pennie is 2 hours from here. Jean lives near you. I know that there are other Texas girls in Open Discussion.

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello.

I got up this morning and walked 50 minutes on my TM. I treated a bunch of kiddos and finally got home around 7. After dinner, I watched American Idol and got caught up on Dancing with the Stars while I did paperwork. I am about to crash!!
My arms are feeling better, but still sore. I am going to tough it out and go lift at the gym tomorrow with DH (I hope).

Randi...That is one terrible dream! I was so overwhelmmed at the RT also. I met some really great people, but there were a lot of people I did not get to meet. I think I would be a lot less nervous the 2nd time around!! I was just so nervous about going to New Jersey by myself not knowing a single person! My workout was early, but not nearly as early as yours!! I don't think I could do it! What time do you go to bed. I am such a night owl, I have to make myself go to bed.

Tess...It sounds like your new workouts are giving you the results you want! I wish I had room for a squat rack and weight bench in my house!! We are hoping to move soon. I told DH one requirement was that I had to have a BIG workout room. He didn't object much since he loves to workout, but he usually goes to the gym. Yes, I am trying to keep up with my workouts. I am trying to prevent a sudden rush in weight gain. So far so good, but I am feeling heavier this week. I can't wait to find out the gender. I will definitely let you all know!

Gin...No, I haven't heard from the doctor, so I am hoping that all is well! I am roughly half way through my assessments. The end of the year is such a pain!! I love my job, but the paperwork could go! I am sure your conference sheets are a lot of work as well.

Heather...Tuck jumps on a rebounder sound fun! I may have to purchase one when I can do all that jumping again! I agree, a second RT would be a completely different experience. I was so nervous, I couldn't even say something sensible to Cathe or the crew. I just smiled and asked for autographs or pictures. Hopefully, I would be brave enough a 2nd time around to at least tell them how much I appreciate them!!

I am off to bed after I take my prenatals. It is almost the weekend!!

Good Morning
It's 4:15 am I actually I have to be at work at 6 this morning. Today is a short day for me I only work till noon!!! I might do leg endurance workout today not sure what, but i'll be thinking about it this morning at work:)
Heather, Tess, Gin, and Lara, I really wish I met ya'll at the RT. I did meet some very sweet ladies there. Everyone was very welcoming and made me feel more comfotable:) I'm very shy until I meet and get to know people, that's how i've always been. My mom did come with me just to hang out, she wasn't a part of the RT. She thanks Cathe's awesome and she does workout with me to her sometimes, but she has to modify LOL. I really hope I make the next RT!!
Off to get ready for work:(
Have a great day ladies talk to ya later
Randi

No fair! I don't think I got to meet Randi at the last RT!!! :'(

Sorry I've been pretty AWOL lately. This thread started to get a little overwhelming size wise for me and I kind gave up halfway through the month. ;) I do try to check up on you all every few days though.

Let's see, last night I did 30 minutes on my treadmill (first workout on it!) and then another 15 minutes on the bike. I'm not sure what I'm going to do tonight, I might break out the Slow & Heavy Series and start that. I have been spending most nights working on my workout room, so I haven't had too many official workouts lately. Now that everything is finally finished and put together, I plan to start focusing on weights to help prepare for STS.

Ok, I'm going to go now and see what you guys have been up to! :)

Hi Liann I'm sorry I didn't meet you either:( But i'm glad you joined us on here. Yes I'm sticking with heavy weight training I just see better results with that. So I will be prepared for STS.
I just finished a killer leg workout KM and GS legs floorwork only!
Have a good night ladies
RAndi:)

Just checkin' in to say hello. I haven't worked out in almost a week because I've had a cold. So now I can commiserate with Gin and Lara who had the crud a couple weeks back. :-( I had a minor foot injury at the same time, which would've also put me out of commission, so I'm just glad that those were on TOP of each other and not back to back. That would've been a real bummer.

So I'm headin back to the gym tomorrow after a week off. I'll try to take it easy my first day back and not get too sore.

Hello to all. I need to catch up on the last few days of posts.

:)

Laura

Beloved Ones:

Mercy! Cathe kicked my butt this morning! Yes, indeed! I have been missing the 4-Day Split and decided to give one of the Boot Camp circuit premixes a whirl in keeping with my cardio and circuit rotation. Butts and Guts gave me a good lower body workout earlier this week, so I chose the upper body circuit. I love the afterglow of Cathe kicked my butt glory! I was not sure if I would like the circuit premixes in this series. I love this one! I cannot imagine the dancy step mixed with heavy weight training, but it works with Boot Camp and breaks up the super intense cardio drills into more doable segments. She picked some of my favorite weight work for this one. I pulled out my slanted risers for the first time and love them! I am so glad I took the plunge and invested in these. The step is more secure and slanted at a more comfortable angle for heavy weight work. I hope Cathe will film a dancy step workout again someday and include a combination with the slanted risers for cardio. The creative possibilities are endless. I can tell that I will need to invest in more 10-pound plates for my barbell before STS arrives. I am getting stronger! Cathe wraps up this circuit premix with the 4-Day Split Kickbox core work and stretch segment. This one is a keeper!

I am looking forward to the 4-Day Split LIS/HIS double cardio premix for my Friday morning cardio party. I am getting my 4-Day Split fix this week!

Liann, welcome back! Do y’all want to switch back to a weekly check-in when April arrives next week?

Love and hugs to Lara, Randi, Laura, Liann, Tess, Michelle, Gin, and Robin! Have a blessed Friday!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello!

Today, DH and I went to the gym together--finally!! We both belong to 2 gyms and have been saying we would go together for months. We lifted for back and biceps and did TM. He ran, I walked. I am starting to feel pressure on my bladder and it is making my workouts a little uncomfortable. I don't think I could run right now. I hope this doesn't last too long. I am expecting this feeling in my 3rd trimester, but not quite yet.

Hello Liann, Randi, Laura, and Heather. My computer is messing up and I can't open another window. That is how I usually do my personals. I will try to remember.

Randi...Yes, it sounds like you had a great leg workout. I am hoping for one tomorrow!

Liann...I bet you are happy to have your own workout space! It looks great!! You have a lot of equipment. I am also interested in kettlebells. I am not sure if I should start them now, but maybe I could modify or do beginner workouts. I think Amy Bento is coming out with one that is for all levels.

Laura...Sorry you have been sidelined! I hope you have a good workout tomorrow. My DH is scared he is going to be very sore tomorrow. He has been running so much lately that he has neglected the weights. I hope you are feeling much better!!

Heather...I have never tried one of the circuits in 4DS. I either do the cardio premixes or the weights with other cardio. I may have to try one out. I love that series!! I think I prefer the weekly check-in, but I will be happy with what everyone wants to do. I will keep checking-in no matter what!!

I am going to try to go to bed. My dog decided to wake me up early this morning to go out. I can't ever go back to sleep once I get out of bed. Yay--it's Friday!!

Hi Ladies
Heather I would love to do a daily check in:) Also I might start next month doing only premixs from 4DS.
Lara Glad you and your DH was able to go to the gym together:) GReat workout by the way. Have fun doing legs today}(
This morning I will probably do 4DS Biceps and HIS Maybe abs too:)
BBL
Randi

Hello all! Yesterday was "Push/Pull" for me. Tonight I am going to do a Cardio Coach on the TM and then call it a night. We are supposed to go over to my parents to watch a movie later. :)

Heather - I think a weekly check-in would be good.

Randi - Can you believe I still haven't cracked open 4DS? Have fun with the premixes.

Lara - That is cool that you and your DH went to the gym together! Mine went with me once and that was the end of that! ;)

Laura - Hope you are feeling better soon!

By the way gals, I did hear from Vicki a week or two ago. She is doing good, but is taking on more clients and is busy, busy, busy with clients and her boys. She said she misses us all though. :)

Hello!

I didn't get to do my intended leg workout today. I had to meet my dad for an early dinner and did not have time. I opted to do 4DS KB/BC cadio and KB abs. I will work legs in either tomorrow or Sunday.

Randi...I always have so much fun doing HIS. I hope to do that one in the next few days!

Liann...It felt kind of strange at first (having DH with me at the gym). When I was a huge gym rat, I always went alone. It ended up being fun though. He made me laugh when we did bicep curls. His arms gave out before mine (and we were using the same weight :) ). I know it is only because he hasn't been lifting lately. I am sure he will pass me in no time!

I am glad for the weekend to be here. I am planning long workouts and the rest of the time we will be watching basketball and I will work on my assessments. Have a great Saturday!

Good Morning:)
Just finished making up my rotation for April. It mixes 4DS premixs along with GS weight work.
Today is HIS Circuit
Talk to ya'll soon
Randi

Hello.

I was able to fit in a long workout yesterday. I did HCE #3 and BC (original). Today, I tried out a new Amy Bento (Hi/Low). I think it was a lot of fun. I didn't get my heartrate up as much since I was trying to learn it, but I was still sweating.
The Ab pictures on the blog look tough!! I hope those workouts will get my belly back into shape after the baby!

Randi...How was HIS circuit? I still haven't done any of the circuit premixes from 4DS.

I guess I need to get back to my Assessments. I am trying to put it off as long as I can!!
