Push It

Sorry ladies...apparently 2013 is going to be a challenging year for me personally. My mom isn't doing well (COPD) and my dad has pneumonia. They're 3 hours away so it's hard to help them. We're headed up to help this weekend. I'm inifinitely worried...:(

Yesterday I had planned for some steady state cardio on my recumbent bike but wasn't feeling it (plus I figured it hadn't been started in a bit so it would take some extra TLC). I did KPC instead....I heart that workout!

Today is supposed to be AOLIH with some Burn Set upper (shoulders?). I should get to it. Because of all the snow days, school is starting 15 minutes earlier so I need to adjust my alarm to reflect that. I haven't done that so my workout times have been suffering....

Stacie- I love your rotation! I'm going to print it for later use. Let us know how it works out for you.

Jennifer -Great job on High Reps...I love that one - it's so straight forward. My UB plan this week was to follow the Cardio/Weights Rotation for XTrain so a body part per day. I was having trouble fitting in strength within my week so thought this might be a good solution. Unfortunately I didn't pick the best week for that....

Natasha - Great job on GS B/S/Bi! I have the GS series and haven't tried them yet. I am totally with you on winter ending! I can't wait for Spring!!!

Toni - I love Low Max. It is so my go-to workout - it's just complicated enough for me to be a good workout and fun at the same time.

Probably will be offline until Monday. Have a great weekend everyone!

Ended up doing about 30 min of Supercuts today instead of previously planned workout. I figured that I probably won't get a workout in until Monday so it doesn't matter if I'm super sore. ;)

Good morning,
I overslept this morning! No workout for me today... if I don't do it in the morning then it's just not going to happen unless there's a gym class in the evening that I want to attend which is not the case tonight. This means I will NAIL my workout tomorrow morning:eek:

SOOOO... just writing in to say hi and good morning.

Stacie,
Woo hoo! MMA Boxing!

I just realized that my work PC is Windows 7 - I forgot I upgraded at some point last year. Since I'm having the issue at work as well as at home I'm thinking it's really something in my profile link with this thread that may have something to do with the SNM's old server - does that even sound possible? I posted my error to SNM and will let you know what they say.

I'm so glad to hear that Tyler is showing interest again in Karate, and congratulations to both you and him for passing his Brown Belt test! He passed but no doubt it was your encouragement that kept him going.

That's a very keen observation regarding what Tyler says he thinks and what he might be repeating from what he has heard. Best of luck with this - he seems like such a great kid and it's got to be hard to watch him go through this.

Can hardy wait to see his car - the Batman logo was a great idea!

TmJ,
Nice job on Supercuts, and I hope you aren't as sore this time as you were last time... for one, I've heard that once you challenge your muscles like that you won't be as sore again. It's the progression that gets ya'. I bet you're getting stronger already!

So sorry to hear about your mom and your dad; being so far away from them makes it even harder! They'll be so happy to have you with them:) I'm glad you'll get to be with them this weekend but I'm sure the drive and time away from home life will be hard on you and your son. Best of luck with everything!

Tash,
I hear ya - we have had snow almost every day since our ice/snow storm last week. We're supposed to have sunshine (and cold) this weekend and then rain Mon/Tue but temps below freezing in the evening. What's ironic is that so many people were so worried and upset about the nice warm weather had for weeks a while ago. Frankly I was glad for the break wasn't worried about it. I hope those "so many people" are feeling better about the cold weather now... I sure am looking forward to Spring! I love it when the flowers start to bloom and the trees and grass start getting green again... and the bunnies hopping around everywhere - so cute!

Hello, Heartymax and Toni!

Have a safe and wonderful day, fit and fabulous women!

Hi ladies!

Yesterday I tried to do a workout while Bella was awake . I wanted to do as much as Crossfire as I possibly could. I got to the Circuit Blast section, then Bella came in and wanted my attention. So I got her to kinda jump around and simulate some of the moves. I did not use weights for that section, just in case. You know, I don't want to hit my child with a 5lb'er :D. After that, she started to get silly, so I called it quits.

TMJ
I'm SO sorry to hear about your mom and dad :(. I hope this w/e goes well for you.

Jennifer
I think ordering the downloads+DVD's is a wise choice. The reason why I don't want to take a risk with that many DVD's, is the damn duty fee I might get hit with  or else I would do the same. I would ideally like to own both.
Glad you were able to sleep in :). You deserve it -- you work so hard!
Ya, I hear ya on the weather thing . I have no idea why people were getting all freaked-out about milder temps . I'll take it while I can!
OMG, you see bunnies in the spring? HOW CUTE!

Stacie
Yes, please post a pic! I'm sure it looks great :). The Batman logo is a cute touch -- I love superhero's!
I'm on the fence about Hard Body. I actually want to buy JM's Body Revolution in the near future. I figured if I had that, then I won't need Hard Body :p. What I love about JM's workouts is that they are only 30min and require minimal equipment. Usually I love my fitness goodies, but sometimes I just want a quickie in/out workout.

Have a great day ladies!

I put some new pictures in my profile. They are in an album called 'Family'. It's all the kids and there is one of the grandbaby in there also. Please take a look :)

No workout today. It's TTOM and I'm an a complete crab  I worked from home today because I'm so crabby and not feeling well. And I didn't sleep well AGAIN last night  I need to do something to get myself out of this funk.

Household drama is at a stand still I suppose. My youngest step-daughter is problematic to the point where I'm pretty much done with it. And while I love my husband dearly, I'm just about done with the way he handles the situation. At this point I have made my position clear and we have a compromise in place for what is going to be done, but it just puts a black cloud of uncertainty over everything. It's very stressful for me. I don't deal well with uncertainty. I like nice neat packages. Does that exists??? Oh well....

Tasha
Trying to workout when kids are around is so challenging!! I typically bag it also when my kids are up. Just not worth injuries to anyone.

TMJ
So sorry to hear about you parents. I hope everything turns out ok.

Tasha
That car sounds really cool!!

Good afternoon everyone! Last night was just a taste of MMA Boxing. My neighbor needed some computer help and it wound up ending our workout early. I couldn't stay much later because I had to add the weights onto Tyler's pinewood derby car. I posted a picture of it below! I hope it does ok. One of the wheels is flaky so I hope it survives the race on Saturday. If we do well there and go to districts, I will try to fix the wheel better before that race day.

The meeting at at the school did not go so well today. They wanted to combine it with parent teacher conferences and it was a disaster. Apparently Tyler was not "good" yesterday and the minute we got there, the teacher laid into him about it. I tried to redirect her to positive subjects but she just kept asking him why he misbehaves. I finally ended the conference because it was ALL negative and took him to the school daycare so we could have the other meeting. The teacher is going on medical leave in two weeks and I am hoping that the substitute that will finish out the rest of the year will be a better fit for him. At least, he will go back to Special Ed where they seem to really care about him and like him. Tyler is a funny kid -- you either fall completely in love with him or you really dislike him. Sigh...

Toni
I am so sorry about your step daughter and the drama :(. It sounds awful that it's to the point that it's even affecting your marriage. I hope the compromise works and that things get better again. My sister went through a lot between her eldest son (the one in the Navy now) and my brother in law. I saw from her how difficult it can be.

I wish everything always went smoothly too. :(

TMJ
I am sorry to hear that your parents are sick too. How stressful that must be! You are a good daughter to go check up on them and make sure they are ok.

Good job on knocking out 30 minutes of Supercuts. I think the first 30 minutes are the hardest part of the workout.

Jennifer
That's really weird about your log in problem. I still can't imagine what's going on. Hopefully SNM will get back to you soon!

I'm sore just thinking about the workout you will do tomorrow since you missed one today! ;)

Natasha
Good point about the JM body revolution. I hadn't considered the shortness of the workouts. I actually have seen the set a few times on Clearance at Target. You have me wondering now if they are still there.... :)

By the way, I used a recipe analyzer on the 23 calorie brownie recipe and it really IS 23 calories in each brownie. I couldn't believe it! They were super tasty...I hope you think so too when you try it!

Well, this was a bummer of post. I feel like going out for drinks now. I hope we all have a better day tomorrow!

Hi - happy Friday night!
This morning was Gym Styles both upper body time savers. Turns out I found all the push-ups after all; I must have done the other time saver last time (the first time) I did GS Chest/Triceps.

I decided to take the day off from work today; it was very productive! Extra exercise, that's for sure... cleaned and laundry.

Stacie,
I am so sorry that the meeting went so badly! Poor Tyler, I can't believe a teacher would lay into him like that! Especially with his mother right with him! I certainly hope Tyler gets the substitute. And I realize the teacher is ill and probably stressed out but - wow. I'm just sorry:(

On to a happier note - the car is awesome! You did a great job! Fingers crossed that the wheel sticks to the plan:)

Toni,
oh no, that sounds so rough - the family cloud around - and on top of that having to deal with the monthly bill. I'm sorry :(

I'm going to check out your profile pics after I post this - looking forward to seeing pictures of the family!

Tash,
You got a good start on Crossfire before having to tend to Bella! I hope your next workout is more successful!

I understand what you mean about the duty fees:mad: Seems so unfair! By the way, I splurged and paid the extra for the downloads this time:)

Yes, we see LOTS of bunnies! I even got to pet one once - it was SO tiny and it just froze when it saw me.

Best get back to dinner - left over stuffed red peppers. Later, Ladies!

Hi everyone :)

For some reason I thought I checked-in yesterday, but I guess not .
Thurs w/o was LEGS & GLUTES (FIRST TIME!). OMG :eek::eek:. Can you say legs & glutes o'fire??? What an awesome LB workout! For those have have not pulled that one out in awhile, I would encourage you to do so. The Body Blast series totally rocks .

Yesterdays' w/o was HS (cardio only). I'm still waiting for my gloves .

Stacie
I LOVED the car! I hope it kicks butt at the race!
I'm sorry to hear about Tyler :(. Gosh, I hate to say this, and I hope I don't offend anyone, but perhaps the problem mostly lies with the teacher and not your son? I remember being in school, and I was lucky because most of my teacher's liked me, but then there was 1 or 2 that just had a "gripe" with me for some reason . I especially thought this to be so of some of the more "older" teachers on the verge of retirement. I also find that to be a teacher, you MUST love your job and children. I'm sorry to say, but some just don't -- and it clearly shows :(. Such a hard situation though, and I completely sympathize with you.
I am going to make those brownies soon! 23cal sounds good to me ;).

Toni

I am SO sorry to hear about the problems going on at home with your DH and step-daughter. If marriage is not hard enough, right? I also despise uncertainty. I hope things get straightened out soon.
The pic of your family is gorgeous! All the children are beautiful :). The baby is SO DARN PRECIOUS! Love the little pony tails :).

Jennifer
Good for you that you took a day off work! You must have been very productive indeed :D.
Since you have such a great knack for mix & matching, hopefully you will be able to utilize the downloads!
Awww, bunnies! I want to get Bella a small pet, like a bunny or guinea pig, but Mark says no way :(. We still have a cat at home, but she has no interest in Bella (or anyone for that matter :mad:). It's like we don't even have a pet now :(.
What did you make the stuff peppers with btw? Those sound super tasty :p.

Have a great w/e ladies!

TGIS - and the sun is finally shining.. it's been snowing for a couple days but it's not sticking which is very strange but I'm not complaining.

This morning was AO extreme cardio followed by Stretch Max with the Ball. Felt great! In my excitement to preorder I forgot to order Total Body Stretching:rolleyes:; it's one of Cathe's older ones. Does anyone have that one? I sent an email to customer service asking if I could still get free shipping on it; I'll probably hear back on Monday. BTW, my shoulders and chest have DOMS from yesterday's GS:)

Tash,
Ugh - how annoying that you still don't have your gloves! I've sent out some vibes and you should have it this week:D

As for the stuffed peppers I made them with brown rice, portobello mushrooms, onions, ground beef (which was freezer burned - definitely not recommended), a can of tomato paste, and 3 huge tablespoons of jalepeno Greek yogurt. Pretty sure that was about it. Then I covered it and baked on 400 for 30 minutes.

Thanks for the reminder about L&G! I haven't done that one in years - used to hit the floor exercises after KPC but I don't know why I got away from doing that:confused: I will bust that one out this week:) I was thinking tomorrow but I want another cardio day so maybe I'll do LBB tomorrow and save L&G for later in the week.

So sad for the cat - I'm sure all of you miss kitty boy still. Maybe the girl kitty will come around.

Stacie
Good luck at the Pinewood Derby!

Have a great day everyone!

Very quick check in. Today was Horizontal Conditioning V2 plus AO Step + Disc portions. I only worked out three days last week and the rest must have done me good. Normally HC wipes me out, but today when I was done I felt like I needed to do more :)

Tasha
I have Legs & Glutes on my schedule this week :) I've never done it but it looks good. I was looking for some leg work that didn't use a barbell.

Jennifer
Glad the weather is breaking for you a bit!!

I must admit that I enjoyed my unexpected week of rest. I have been able to get some school work done. I am working on my administration certification and am spending the next year (hopefully it won't take that long) completing my internship. We have to actually go to campus for one meeting during the intern so that is why I had the long ride. The meeting lasted 1hr and 15 minutes...so it took waaaay longer to get there than the meeting actually lasted..but I already heard that from others in advance so I knew what to expect. I have a lot of work and papers to do during the process so I was able to catch up on a few of these things last week and the weekend.

It is now TTOM but nothing was going to stop me this morning. I felt so energized with Cardio Leg Blast. Sometimes you just gotta find the perfect workout and I think I did this morning.

I went back to read some of the personals but I am sure I still missed out on alot.

Stacie----I really feel bad for what you are going through with Tyler. He is too young to feel so unloved by his teacher. I know in life kids have to learn that everyone will not like them but it is important to feel connected to your teacher when you are at such a young age. The bad thing is teachers talk and I really hope they don't "tarnish" his reputation for all the years to come. Have a talk with him about being able to have a fresh start with the substitute and how this is a good thing for him.

Jennifer---Looks like you and I both have got our PC problems squared away. DH spent the weekend cleaning it up and reloading the important documents.

TMJ---sorry to hear about your parents. I know it must be hard to be away but 3 hours is not bad for a weekend trip. It does give you that option. I am 13 hours away so I am very grateful to have a brother who is closer and can go home some weekends to check on our mom.

Tasha---I have not even checked out the new workouts yet. I really don't need any temptation right now.:D

Toni---I hope the compromise works out for your family. I understand how kids can add stress because I felt some stress like year as DH and I dealt with some really teenage challenges with our son. Teens just don't seem to understand that we want what's best for them. I have to check out your pics later.

Hi Ladies,

Back from a whirlwind trip to visit my parents. I spent the entire day on Saturday cleaning their house, doing laundry, groceries and cooking for them. I was beat. I'm really happy with what I got accomplished but I'm exhausted. We came back yesterday afternoon to get M to hockey last night.

Decided to sleep in a bit and not workout this morning. Will sit down to figure out what the plan for this week is.

Jennifer: Yay for preorder. I bet if they haven't shipped, they'll let you add on another workout. I've only done Stretch Max once but my son joined me and kept giving me kisses as we stretched. We call it Kiss Max now. :)

Natasha: Great job on Legs and Glutes. Sorry about the gloves...that's crazy that it's taken so long!

Stacie: Sorry about the stuggles with your son's school. I can't imagine how stressed that makes you because as mothers we just want what is best for our children.

Toni: Great job on the rest. HC looks crazy hard!

HeartyMax: Happy to hear that taking a bit of a break last week was helpful. Glad to hear you enjoyed Cardio Leg Blast - I haven't tried that one yet!

Good morning!
Sunday was Athletic Training; I still had DOMS in my buns from Saturday's AO extreme cardio premix but I decided to go for AT anyway; I wanted cardio and upper body, plus I knew it would really add conditioning to the thighs/hams. It did and I was feeling it ALL DAY yesterday - but I also think it helped loosen me up because this morning I felt totally fine.

This morning was MMA Boxing - the punches that require the glute squeeze/hip twist (hooks and crosses) made me remember my previous gluteal DOMS but mostly the workout felt just right; light cardio (comparatively speaking of course) with some fantastic core work.

BTW, I ordered some 3lb weighted gloves; since I've hit myself with the hand weights a couple times:rolleyes: during HS I figured I better just quit that while I'm ahead:D I'm looking forward to using them with all the boxing workouts. There is a heavy bag bonus on the Boxing w/o which I've never done before so I'm looking forward to giving that one a shot after I get my gloves. I REALLY want my shoulders to get stronger.

TmJ,
I was wondering yesterday how your weekend was going; glad to hear you were able to help so much and still get M to his hockey game. You rock! Definitely sounds like you needed the rest this morning!

I'm sure you're right about SNM giving me the free double shipping:cool: It's not like I haven't spent HUNDREDS of dollars already anyway:)

Kiss Max has got to be one of the cutest things I have ever heard; how sweet of your son!

Toni,
Wow, girl! You had an awesome workout with HC and AO! How do you feel today?! Definitely sounds like the rest revved you up! Also, I hope things are starting to calm down on the home front. I posted on your profile page but in case you haven't gotten there again I love the pictures and the scrapbook:)

Heartymax,
That is kind of funny how we've both had to do some PC work:D It motivated me to back-up my home/personal stuff to my external hard drive just in case;) Always good to get that out of the way. You were smart to get some stuff off your drive - I should go back and do that, too.

You'll be a great administrator! Glad the meeting didn't last too long especially since the car ride was. I'm happy for you that you had such a productive week. Such a good feeling! I can relate, too; since I had Friday off work I got TONS done - I mean, I even cleaned the fireplace and restocked the wood inside by the fireplace! I *should* have cleaned the oven, though:eek:

Sounds like you enjoyed Cardio Legs; it is such a great workout!

Tash,
How are your fish doing?

Stacie,
How did the derby races go?!

Have a fantastic day!

Good morning everyone! As usual, things have been super busy. Thursday night I cancelled working out because I was trying to get some things done for work. Friday night I went to my neighbor's house and she was super chatty -- no workout again :(! Saturday morning was Cardio Supersets and Sunday night was Low Impact Step. Tonight will be Gym Styles! After a week off from weights, I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks for all the compliments on the car! Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very slow car. I was looking at the shapes of the cars that were really fast and they gave me some ideas for next year. Tyler's was disappointed that his car didn't do very well -- especially since last year's car did very well. Oh well, next year we'll try again!

Jennifer
I have Total Body Stretching! That has my go to workout that I use whenever I have back pain. I think it's stretching with the ball #1 or #2! No matter how bad my back feels, I can do that workout and then be as good as new the next day. I hope it has the same effect for you!!!!

TMJ
It sounds like you had a really busy weekend! It really is so nice of you to do that for your parents. When my grandmother was sick last year, I was going down to see my mom a lot to her with my grandma. I know how much work it can take to help them out. I'm sure they really appreciate it!

Toni
Wow! That's one killer of a workout. It sounds like you needed to rest. Are things going better for you overall?

Natasha
What a bummer about the gloves!!!! I can't believe it takes THAT long to get to you. Canada isn't that far away from the US! Do you think it's going through customs that takes so long? Maybe they x-ray the packages first?

Tyler's teacher is elderly and she just seems really really really annoyed with him. Part of it too might be because she is having health problems. This might sounds mean, but even though I don't wish her bad, I am actually kinda happy that she is going on medical leave. This has definitely not been a good year and I thought kindie and 1st were no walk in the park either. This year has been much worse than those two.

Legs and Glutes is on this month's rotation and it will be the first time I have done it. You have me nervous now!

HeartyMax
Congrats on working on a new certification! I think that's wonderful that you are taking the time not only enhance what you know but to find ways to advance your career too. Are you thinking about maybe becoming a principal?

It is hard to see Tyler struggle. I have laid off him quite a bit in order to try help him not feel so down. Everyone is pushing me to medicate him. I'm still on the fence. The doctor says that if he was better able to focus and wasn't getting in trouble so much that it might help him not feel so down. I know I should at least try it but I just can't bring myself to do it yet.

Have a great day everyone!

Today was Rhythmic Step. That is one long workout, but I made it all the way through!! To prepare for my hiking trip i want to do one steady state cardio a week. I can't hike outside yet(too cold still), so I need to do at least one steady state cardio in the house. I'm also going to go back to my HC workouts for a bit. I find that nothing tightens my middle like HC. When I do them this time I will not slack on my UB heavy lifting though :) My rotation this week looks like:

Sun - HC
Mon - Rhythmic Step
Tue - GS UB - both time savers
Wed - Legs & Glutes
Thurs - KPC
Fri - HC

My household is stable now, so that's good.

HeatyMax
Yes, teenages are problematic at times!! Not looking forward to Jasmine being a teenager. I already know it's going to be mess...LOL!!

Stacie
Sorry to hear about the car. Hope next year goes better and it's still good time spent with the kid :)

TMJ
Glad you were able to do so much to help your parents. Good idea to take some rest before getting back at it!!

Have to get back to work....Have a good day all!!

Hello everyone :)

My w/o yesterday was Cardio Leg Blast minus weights (a mix I made in my blender). My hope was that it would be like a 30min hiit w/o, and YES IT WAS! Today was my rest day. I've been DOMS'ing so bad that I really needed one.

I got Bella enrolled in school today. I'm excited, but nervous and apprehensive at the same time. She gets along great with other kids, but with adults (non-family) she tends to become super shy. My head is spinning with all the "peanut/nut-free" rules we have in our schools. Now I heard that eggs might be banned too! UGH! I understand the need for precaution (nut allergies are no joke), but it will make preparations for lunch/snacks a bit difficult for me. Bella loves snacks with nuts (almonds/pistachios) :(. I'm just waiting for the day when our schools become gluten-free .

Toni
Love Rhythmic Step :). Good luck with HC! Colleen raves about it all the time and how it has tightened her core like nothing else.

TMJ
Hope the trip to your parents well better than expected. Cleaning, laundry, cooking, all forms of exercise if you ask me!

Heartymax
Good luck with your administration certification and internship :). And good for you taking last week off! I'm sure you really needed it.

Stacie
Sorry to hear about Tyler's car :(. You guys still did an awesome job though, and I'm sure it was super fun creating it together.
I ordered the gloves from friggin amazon.ca, not amazon.com , which means that they are supposed to come from CANADA (I think). Still, really frustrating.
Ya, maybe it's a good thing the teacher is going on medical leave . I don't blame you for wishing that.

Jennifer
Congrats on the 3lbs weighted gloves! I'm sure they will work out really well for the boxing w/o's . You know the one move called Flurry? I'm always afraid I'm going to punch myself in the face while doing that!
The fish are doing ok, thanks for asking :). Lots of little fry being born, but I don't "save" them. I see them one day, and the next day they are gone :D. Who am I to mess with the circle of life? :D
Thanks for the stuffed pepper recipe! SOunds super duper tasty :p.

Have a good evening ladies :)

This morning was Burn Sets Chest, Back and Shoulders. I couldn't do but 8 push ups on my toes after being fried from all those chest presses:eek:. I read last night on the forum that there was a promo code for 25% off on HC. I looked on the website and couldn't find the code. I would like to order 2 of the DVD's if I can use a promo code for that amount. I think they said it expires 3/7 so I have to go to the other forum and post a question to find out the code.

Stacie---I am not interested in being a principal at all. I started the certification a little while ago so that I would be qualified for other opportunities in my field. I don't want that any kind of huge commitment right now, but I also know that my interests may change in the next 5 to 10 years and I want to already have the qualifications when the timing is right. This is a good time in my life to work on the certification.

Tasha---Glad you got the registration all squared away for Bella. My DS10 is allergic to all nuts and seafood. It is so critical to have those restrictions when the kids are as young as Bella because they don't always know what they can have a reaction too and the kids touch each other a lot playing (holding hands and playing clapping games).

Toni---glad things have stabilized in your family. :D

Jennifer---enjoy your gloves when they come. I used the hand weights too. I have only done HS twice so I am not sure it is a fav enough to get the gloves.

TMJ---sounds like you got a much accomplished. I am sure it feels good to have been able to help your parents out. Exhausted but well worth it!

HeartyMax - Try promo LOVEHC. There's a whole discussion on Open Discussion here on Cathe forums.

I did Low Max this morning. I have a gazillion Cathe videos and I keep going to the same few. Something about doing something you know and love at 5am vs trying something new I guess.

Here's my plan for the week:

Tues: Low Max (done)
Wed: CrossFire (first time)
Thur: High Reps (upper)
Fri: MMA Boxing (I need to do cardio on Fridays)
Sat: will have more time....Supercuts?
Sun: ? crazy day but may be able to fit something in

Thoughts? Maybe I should flip Wed and Thurs? I know there's not a lot of weights in there.

HeartyMax - Good job with Burn Sets (CBS) - love this workout! Hope the HC promo code works for you.

Natasha - You're the 2nd person this week to do the Cardio Leg Blast! Maybe I'll try it next week....I still have your Tabatacise challenge to me in the back of my head! It's amazing how kids adapt to school. We're nut free too and I thought it would be hard but it's really not. It's such a scary sensitive allergy we don't even give him peanut butter before he goes to school in case.

Toni - I like your plan for the week. Glad you enjoyed Rhythmic Step.

Stacie - Sorry your neighbor was chatty...that must be super frustrating! I admire you for not jumping right into meds even though that might be the easiest path. Every kid is different and it's important to really weigh all the options. I've seen it work wonders for some.

Jennifer - I love MMA Boxing. It's one of my faves. Too funny that you hit yourself with weights...I'm always worried that I'm going to knock myself out sometimes.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!
It's snowing again:rolleyes: Only supposed to get 1-2 inches so that's nice. Anyway, this morning I did the UB premix of Burnsets. Love it! I skipped a couple of the Burn Sets (pushups/chest, supermans/back) but not because of time, it was just that I didn't feel I could handle it today. The stretch felt great, and then I enjoyed a couple minutes of the foam roller.

TmJ,
I think your workouts sound great; nothing wrong with it at all if you choose to go with it!
I have one suggestion - due to the leg work in Tu/Wed/Th workouts you may want to move Boxing to Thursday and HR to Friday. I remember Stacie saying that Supercuts is hard on the legs, too, so that's another reason why a bit of a leg break might be helpful.
On the other hand, you sure could try flipping Wed/Thurs. For me personally LM frys my legs and HR has a lot of great leg work in there; it'd be a shame if your legs were too fatigued to really work it.

Keep us posted!

And yes, I agree, it is pretty funny that I hit myself with the weights - I'm just lucky it was my hip both times and not my face:)

Stacie,
Sorry about Tyler's car not being fast - but at least it looked good;) That's cool about getting some ideas for next year:cool: BTW, it's awesome that he won last year! And also, I am sorry Tyler is having a hard time in school; you're such a supportive and loving mom and at least he knows that:)

Enjoy GS - I know you will:)

Oh - SNM did allow me to get free shipping on Total Body Stretching and I should have it any day now... Nancy said she'd put it in the mail right away; Cathe's customer service team is fantastic. I really enjoyed Stretch Max using the ball so I'm really excited about TBS:)

Heartymax,
Nice job even doing 8 pushups after BS Chest! I didn't try to do any so I think you're a rock star:cool:

I hope you get th HC coupon code working - good luck!

Toni,
Nice job with Rhythmic Step! Your workouts for the week look super good:)

Tash,
I completely understand about the little fry. I had a friend who used to try to save the super colorful ones so they could grow and breed. I actually wasn't sure how I felt about that; sort of made me feel bad for the non-chosen ones. On the other hand, that's just one perspective and probably not the majority consensus:rolleyes:

Way to go on making your own HiiT! That's a fantastic idea! Enjoy your rest day and your DOMS:D

Congratulations on one big step being made; Bella is now enrolled in school. When does she start? Wow, I didn't realize that she would be so limited with what she can take/bring (I get them confused) to school becuause of other kids being allergic. I guess when kids are that young I can understand that safety precautions need to be in place. At least Hummus isn't on the banned list - if she likes it that might be helpful.

My gloves haven't shipped yet but I can't complain - yours should have been delivered weeks ago! Ugh! I'm frustrated for you!

Gotta get to work - have a wonderful day!
