Thanks everyone for the kind words. I appreciate it! Today was step blast. Almost got through all of it. I have got to get my eating back on track. I just didn't have the energy to finish the last blast, which I have completed before. Eating is slowly coming back together now that vacations are over, so it will all come together soon. I think I'm going to do Muscle Endurance tomorrow. I need to make sure I do one weighted workout this week. I think I read somewhere that at least one weighted workout a week will maintain your strength for a period until you can get back to normal. So I'll do one this week and two next week to keep what I have. I think that I've decided that I will go ahead and start STS in August. I want to finish it before the baby gets here. While I have NO intentions on getting up in the night with the baby(hehe), there will certainly be times that my schedule gets thrown off. I don't want to be in the middle of a formal rotation like STS with that much change going on in the house.
My mother is out of the hospital. Very happy about that. But I will be having a serious talk with her this weekend. She should not be smoking with her condition and before this last attack she was still smoking(grrrrrr). My mother is very big on people taking care of her, but I just cannot see how you can ask someone to take care of you when you have not done everything in your power to take care of yourself. This is totally contrary to how she raised me, so this lecture she has coming is totally her fault..LOL!
Natty - thanks for your story. I hope I didn't put my step daughter in a bad light when I said that she wasn't a mature teenager. That was not my intent. She will certainly be ok with time and support. Her biggest weakness is that she lacks any real type of forward thinking in terms of goal setting or life planning, which was ok until now. Her father had already told her that he would not send her away to college until she was a bit more mature and she understood and was fine with that. She even she knows that she lacks in that area. Now she doesn't have much of a choice but to learn those skills at a faster rate. But we will help her through that and she will be fine. I worry most about her schooling. She is not the most disciplined student and she will need to take online schooling this year, so that will be very different for her.
I always find people's reaction to teen pregnancy interesting. Yesterday someone asked me if she had to move out. They said they didn't know what the 'rules' were in our house about this type of thing. My first thought was move out and go WHERE?? She's 16 has no education and no marketable skill set. I'm not understanding what rule I would have that would require me to put my own child out of my house because she was pregnant. I guess I've heard it being done, but I don't understand it.
Jennifer - I have no idea what is up with this hip and back of mine...LOL! I do think it has to do with some extra stiffness. I did a bit of extra warmup and stretching this morning and that seemed to help. And I also pulled out the foam roller...thanks!
