pull up tower orders?

Who's going to pre-order for $129 + shipping. I would LOVE to have one but DH just got laid off so I think I'll have to just put it on the back burner for now. Shoot!

Sorry about your husband's recent layoff. Cathe said that the Tower can hold no more than one hundred pounds. Does than mean if you weigh more lhan 100 pounds that you cannot do pushup, pullups on it?

I think it means it's not safe to rack more than 100 pounds. I would think it's okay to do pull-up and chin-ups. However, that's probably a good question to ask.

"Though the STS - Pushup/Pull Up Tower’s has been tested by and independent testing lab to be able to handle up to 500 lb’s, we don’t suggest using a barbell weight of more than 100 lb’s on the unit. You should use a bench press for heavier weights for obvious safety reason"

sorry to hear about your dh tracey. i pray you guys make it through.

i won't be ordering myself b/c one i just pre ordered sts so i already broke the bank there. and two, just not that excited anymore really. i do pull ups at the gym(on the way home from work so no excuses!) and i am enjoying learning all the new equipment options in the weight room(smith machine to go to my heaviest potential on squats and bench presses). maybe if i didn't have the membership i would still want it but just not that excited anymore.

They claim it will fit under your bed when taken apart, which is supposed to be easy. Guess time will tell I never know where I will put my next "toy" but there always seems to be room!

I am flat broke but, somehow, I will find a way. I need a way to do these moves because none of the door aparatus's (sp?) fit over my 5" wide moldings. Right now, I use a platinum band to do substitute moves I don't believe are anywhere near as effective as bodyweight.

The shipping fee to the west coast is UGLY!!!

Well I caved in ordered the tower and although I used the coupon code the shipping was a whopping $39.00!!!!!!!!! That was the cheapest shipping mode. Argh to being out here in the west coast!!
