Preggo belly check in 7/5-7/11

Augh. Anyone else just starting to feel "slower?" I've noticed I get more winded more easily, even when I'm not working out. I need to exercise today -- I can't decide which to do. I guess it's just important that I'm moving, right?!

Allison, Im right there with ya. We just went to walmart and it takes me so much longer now. I feel like a slug!

Hope everyone had a good day. I feel as if I have doubled in size. Im huge!
We have been playing charades. I made up all the cards and made sure dh got the funny ones. Should of seen him acting like a monkey and disco dancing...Haley laughed herself silly.
Constipation has been back for a week now...ugggh! Dulcolax to the rescue.
See you in the morning! Im sending you all "great sleep vibes"!

Hi everyone! I know I've been absent lately and I hope everyone is doing well. With swimming lessons, dad's chemo and DH's softball games we haven't been home much in the past couple of weeks.

I went for another ultrasound and the doctor told me that the brain waves are normal so it must be a boy. Are you kidding? Now know it's a girl! LOL!!

They did tell me that they'll induce me at 38 weeks(Oct 12) b/c they don't want me to go into labor on my own. Darn, going 2 weeks early, what a bummer;)

I see women all the time whose gums bleed during pregnancy. Unfortunately, during pregnancy our bodies have a higher response to the bacteria in plaque. So, the more they bleed, the more you need to floss to clean out the bacteria.

Susan - I know what you mean. I feel like I really popped out in the last week.

Allison - I definitely feel slower. I went out to pull weeds this morning and I felt like I was 90 years old! I've also noticed that my strength has diminished greatly. I bet I'm only lifting 60% of what I lifted pre-pregnancy.

Have a great night!

Well, not that I want all of you to feel sluggish, too, but I'm glad to know I'm in good company :)

I tried to do the Low Impact Timesaver premix on Kick Max (thanks for the reco, Dawn), but only got about 20 minutes into it before I started to feel a weird pain on my right side. So I stopped. Tomorrow, I'll do one of the PS upper body ones (with the wimpy 5 and 8 lb dumbbells!) with Pilates During Pregnancy.

I saw that Susan has picked a name! I love the name Kara. Glad you guys agreed on one! I still can't get DH to discuss them. Grrrr... Anyone else have names ready to go?!

Morning!

Wendy-good to see you. You have been busy! Hope your dad is getting better.

Allison-I think I will try and do that kick max timesaver today. My fav kick box is Cardio Kicks, buts its got so much high impact its hard to modify it all. I just feel weird jumping around pregnant. It feels good to have a name picked out!

Melanie-whats on tap for your day off today?
Morning Jen, Dawn, Christine, Pricilla

Sleep was ok last night. I always get up at 12,2,4 to pee. Other than that my hip didnt hurt so that is good.
Today we take Bubbles to the vet for her yearly shots and I have a ton of clothes to take to the Salvation Army. Haley has set up a "store" in her room, so I guess I'll be shopping today too. That child keeps me busy!

Hi ladies! Yesterday was predictably challenging,....but IT'S OVER!! :D :D

Today is fun-day!!! Some mommy-friend time with our kids at the beach,.....I'd rather just relocate to the beach for July & August,.....but that's not practical. :D :D Together we'll have 4 kids (+ 2 in utero). I'm so glad that my nausea (knock on wood) is gone & I'm able to venture out into the real world. I've started to wobble a bit, and I tire quickly,...but no nausea is wonderful!!!!!

We'll have to add our * baby names* to our rollcall list. I've started to look @ baby stuff a little. I haven't bought anything yet,.......but I have some coupons and i'm close to buying a couple packages of diapers.....

I had a "grandma" customer rub my belly yesterday and ask my what was in there. When I told her twins, she squeeled with delight. Her 9 year old granddaughter was with her and she said, "There's twins in there? Really? Well one might die". OUCH. So, I did the motherly thing I wacked her upside the head with this light cardboard box I just happened to be holding in my hand.:confused: When I went back to work one my techs said, "Did you just hit that little girl upside the head?". lol I bet she won't say THAT again!!!!! kids, gotta love them. :D :D

Did i tell you my folks are coming up next weekend for my bday? Haven't seen my mom in 3 years & my dad in about 5. My grandparents and their dog are coming too. :D

Okay, chatty lady is going to go now. Have a great day ladies!!!!

Good morning ladies! Long day today. Taking my dad to Chicago for another round of Chemo. It's about a 3 hour drive and we're leaving at 9 am and won't get back until about 8pm tonight. We also get the results of his CAT scan from last week too so I'm a bit nervous, OK really nervous since he seems more out of breath now than usual (he has mesothelioma-from asbestos exposure).

Melanie- Wish I was going to the beach w/ you. Have fun!! Too funny about the little girl.

Allison - My DH will occasionally mention names that he likes but I'm just not ready for that yet.

Susan - That's exactly when I get up to pee! It doesn't even matter if I limit my fluid intake in the evenings. I really like the name Kara too.

Hi to everyone else!

Wendy (hugs)(hugs), that must be challenging. I'll be praying for strength for all of you. Let us know how the results turn out, K?

I pooped! I real nice gigantic solid specimen!

Thought you gals might want to know.

Melanie- Seriously, she said that? Glad that pregnancy is keeping y ou tired, if I was you, I would have hit her much harder!
As for the tired question, I am always beat. Dawn- may I have some of your fabulous energy please? I have not done a workout video in a week. I keep sayign I will, but running is it these days.
I am starting to come to grips with the drama in our lives. Go figure, we got an amazing CASH offer on the house two nights agao, the same time that the job got pulled out from under us. We are just going to have to trust that God has different plans for us. I feel like a real jerk when I complain. We have a healthy family, and that is great. We are off to the mountains to a little family spa for a mini vacation this weekend. Let's see if they can do any magic with my pregnancy acne in the mommy facial. My son has packed a bag filled with water toys and gummy bears. I guess we know the way to his heart!
I can no longer see my underpants, so I guess that the baby is getting pretty big. I am anxious to find out what is in there! Anyone else having vivid dreams about it? I have been dreaming about blue quilts...
So, the reason I warned you all about the teeth is that my last pregnancy was tough on my mouth. I leeched a lot of calcium to my baby, ended up with 6 root canals and had a tooth pulled which resulted in an implant. I am crazy about flossing this time around!!!!!!
Happy day to all of you!
C

Hi everyone

I started taking the one a day vitamins 2 days ago and I have been waking up with a lot of acid and nausea, but then it goes away very fast and then I'm good for the rest of the day.

Melanie, I'm not taking any meds whatsover, for the most part my morning sickness is gone. The only two times that I felt a nauseated have been the last two days and it's because I'm forcing myself to take multivitamins. Oh, my back had been killing me too lately!

Christine, I'm excited too about finding out my baby's sex in 2 weeks. Can't hardly wait. I don't know if my maternal instint is right, but I think I'm having a boy. We'll see. By the way, hugs to you, I know how hard it could be to wonder about the future (jobs, new home etc)

Wendy, I hope your dad is recovering just fine. So, they will induce you at 38 weeks, that's not bad at all, they're probably trying to play safe. I think you mentioned you don't have to get the shots post partum Is that rigth?

Hi to all my wonderful preggos!~!

I completed KM low impact workout. It was just what I needed today...it was fun.

Wendy-let us know the cat scan results. Im praying you get good news!

Christine-so are you for sure staying in your home, or do you kow yet? We do need to be grateful for what we do have, but its normal to feel stressed with what you have been dealt! You really did have dental issues last pregnancy. I have really weak teeth and have had I think 4 r/c's and endless work. Dh never flosses and never gets a cavity....grrrr. I hope Haley takes after him. I still brush her teeth for her..she doesnt really get everything good and Im determined she has better teeth than me.
You mentioned not being able to see your panties...well I was just thinking yesterday how in the world Im gonna do my grooming "down there" now. I surely dont want to scare the dr! Im sure dh would be willing..but that scares me!

Pricilla-Im so glad you m/s is gone. yayyyy. Do you take her vitamin at night? I can only take it in the morning..then my extra iron at lunch. If I take at night I wake up with an acididy feeling too. Dosnt effect me at all during the day.

Melanie-you poop machine you! Have fun at the beach today!

Ok Im off to get busy. I'll check on you ladies later.

Wendy, I hope your dad's CAT scan results are good. Cancer is so stressful on everyone; it's difficult to watch someone fight for his/her life. (((hugs)))

Melanie, did the child's mother bother to correct the child for making such a heinous comment? What a horrible thing to say!

Christine, sounds like the mini-spa vacation is just what you need. As for your teeth, wow, you went through the dental ringer last pregnancy. Did your dentist give any recommendations on what else to do besides brush/floss/cleaning? I've been trying to eat yogurt or cottage cheese every day, and I take 2 calcium supplements in addition to my prenatal vitamin. And I picked up the new purple Listerine for rinsing 2 times a day. DD loves the color ;)

I have my glucose test tomorrow morning. Does anyone know -- am I allowed to eat breakfast before I take that test? I have to go to the hospital first to get blood drawn, then to the OB for my appt and the glucose test, back to the hospital to pick up my Rhogam shot, then back to the OB's to have the shot administered. Oh, what a fun morning :p

Hey everyone! I've not been feeling so good. I had some bad stomach cramps (like the kind you get in your intestines when you have a stomach bug) and just felt under the weather but I do feel a little better today.

Christine- There is nothing wrong with being stressed and venting to get it out. We all have stressful events at one time or another and I don't think that makes us ungrateful at all. Sending lots of peaceful vibes your way!

Melanie- Hooray for beach time! I wish I could stand the heat here in FL to go to the beach. I would have to float in the water all day cause its just too darn hot with our humidity. That's funny about hitting the little girl but that wasn't nice and she needed to know it!

Priscilla- I am happy to hear the m/s has subsided! Maybe you will start to feel normal again.

Wendy- Sorry to hear about your father. I hope you get good results. Will be thinking of you!

Allison- We have the first name of James but we just aren't sure on a middle yet. Its between three of them: Ryan, Michael, or Matthew. I think we might just decide when he is born.

Hello to all the other lovely preggos!

You mentioned not being able to see your panties...well I was just thinking yesterday how in the world Im gonna do my grooming "down there" now. I surely dont want to scare the dr! Im sure dh would be willing..but that scares me!

Ha! I had this problem last night, when I was trying to "neaten up." I realized I really can't push my stomach aside anymore. So I was not successful in my attempt. Bah!

Allison- if this is the first glucose test, yes you can eat unless they told you not to. You should have to drink the gunk then wait an hour. If you failed like I did with Haley then you go back fasting and stay for like 4 hours...not fun!! Maybe a mirror would help us out??? If I don't do something by October...it aint gonna be pretty!

Hi Jen-sorry you have not been feeling well!

We are off for a quick grocery run. Im making lentil soup and barley soup and Im out of veggie stock..grrrrrrrr.

Noone's impressed with my poop? I hadn't gone in five days.

Christine~ I'm so happy for you. :D I hope you enjoy your spa time, sounds heavenly. As far as grooming goes? Your dr has seen it all! My days of grooming are numbered as well. Think of it as a nice break from razor burn & pubis itching. :D

Susan~ You must be a good cook, all that talk about food. Yummmm. I'm almost ready to try chocolate again.

Jen~ What's on your plate today?

I've already warned DH about the "sandpaper" feel that he may feel soon because I am doing it by feel. I'm just real careful. I'm not sure I want DH to do it (he can be kind of clumsy sometimes).

Allison- My dr told me that too many carbs before the test can affect the results so I have just decided to do it first thing in the morning and not eat (or only eat some cheese or something). I definitely don't want to have to do the three hour one.

Well, so far my stomach has been ok. I just wonder if its cause my intestines are getting so squished. I've only noticed the "flu crampy" feeling every hour or two and not every 20 min like last night. Maybe I did have a bug and it's working its way through. I've eaten pretty normal today and not felt too bad.

Hmmmm, so the cheese balls I just ate were a bad idea LOLOL

Okay, salad for dinner, and scrambled eggs for breakfast :)
