Preggo belly check in 7/5-7/11

HI everyone!

Happy day for me today, in 3 hours my parents will be here for 3 weeks. I'm so excited even though I just saw them 3 weeks ago in NJ.

Wendy, I am really sorry for all the stress that you're experiencing. It's not easy. My mother is diabetic and she refused to use insulin for a long time, when we were in NJ she was feeling really thristy and took her blood sugar and it was over 500. I gave her the biggest speech ever, I don't want her to end up in dialysis because her kidneys give up or blind or something like that. It stressed me out so bad that I couldn't sleep right for few nights. You and your dad are in my thoughts. HUGS

Jen, I'm at 153 pounds now but I think I'm slightly shorter than you (5'5") and I keep eating a lot, I'm always hungry. By the way, Mexican food for lunch sounds yummy!

Susan, I will start taking my vitamins during the day like you suggested. I was really waiting for the weekend, that way if I feel sick at least I'm at home. Have a safe trip and good look unpacking (not fun)

Melanie, I can't wait to hear about your appointment today!

Allison, what a bummer! Oh well, few more weeks to wait! I'm also playing the waiting game trying to relax and waiting on the Quad test results!

Hi to all my preggers !!!

back later

Sorry I have not been keeping up the past couple of weeks...
Hello to everyone! I am glad to hear that everyone is coming along nicely.
I had my 21 week ultrasound on Monday... It's a boy!
I have 3 names I like, and will not be picking until I meet my son.
Baby boy has been very busy, he spent the entire ultrasound trying to eat his toes, and is usually doing flips. DH got to feel him move for the first time last night. It was a very special time.
I have started getting tired again, I thought that was supposed to hold off for another couple of months.
I am having MIL issues. I really do not want her around for the first week or so after the baby is born, mostly because I figure I will say something that I regret while she is criticising me or DH. She thinks we should just not discuss the problems in our relationship because the stress is bad for the baby. Looks like she will probably come because she cares more about being here than I do about causing a family crises over what should be a happy time.
She is having a shower for me back in Louisiana. Except she is not throwing the shower, TEN of her friends are the hostesses, and I am expected to provide hostess gifts for each of them, and my mother-in-law is complaining about how stressed out SHE is having this shower. If I have to have TEN hostesses, why aren't they handling the work? Grrr.
Thanks for letting me vent!

dragonf1y- Hooray for another boy! Can you share the names with us? We won't judge, we support! Sorry about the trouble with your MIL. I worry that my MIL might criticize also but then I will just tell her to leave. Eat his toes...how cute!

Priscilla- Girl, in those pics of you on FB you DO NOT look like you weigh more than me! You are tiny! BTW, the mexican was mucho yummy! Say hi to mom and dad! ;)

Hi Pricilla-great about your parents visit! Good luck taking the vitamins!

Hi Cee! Congrats on the boy!!! And I would totally be upset if I was expected to buy 10hostess gifts for a shower my MIL plannned..not cool! SHe should at least help!

Jen-Mexican sounds sooooo good!

Just a quick post, I'll be back later after I rest (just got home).

A routine, boring-like appt nothing really much to say. Heard two heartbeats, gained 4 lbs this month, measuring 20 weeks. So, at 17 weeks I've gained 18lbs so far. Did a urine specimen to check for UTI. Thumbs up for elliptical & boating, thumbs down for intercourse/kickboxing/step.

BBL!

dragonfly- I hear you on the MIL thing. After my son was born, I was so upset. My MIL and FIL wanted to be in the room for the birth, I was adamantly against it. Luckily the delivery nurse made them leave, but they were irate. I do not need them see a baby come out of me. After, I got home from the hospital, and it was criticism central. A new mom and a tired mom does not need it! I was amazed at how little she helped, and finally lost it on her one day adn made her leave. It took a year to repair, although she is very respectful now... My recommendation is that if people want to help, have your husband take a bit of time off to help you get through the nights in the beginning... People should visit later when you are rested and have a routine. WHen you are leaky and boobs size of cantaloupes and strapped to maxi pads, and you need to sleep all the time, nobody wants to smile and have company. I remember my MIL coming up to me after I got home from the hospital and commenting that I di dnot look nearly as fat as before. I wanted to punch her. She then proceeded to tell me that she gained only 18 pounds with my husband. Agh. some people love company, I love privacy. I like to master things in private and wait till I know what is going on, before people check me out... She also threw a fit about my shower. I picked a weekend, and she was upset because she had tickets to see a play. She wanted me to change it. I replied that if I accomadated all schedules, the shower would be in 2023 on Mars. I am here if you need to vent!
Precilla- You are so tiny, you look great. It is so hard to watch the scale. I gasped when I looked at it today and then had three tacos. I am over the denial, baby has heft!
Mel- Sorry such a boring appt after so much anticipation and a long drive. I felt that way too. I am excited for the next one. I am bummed my hubby will not be there to see what we are having!
Wendy- You are so strong for going through everything. Oddly, my mother's name was Wendy adn she died of cancer when I was young, so each time I see your name, I catch my breath. The great part of this is that you are bringing a life into the world, and you get to have it early! I had my son at 38 weeks, nice and small, much easier healing!
Susan- I need your commitment. I have not done a video in over a week. I am so pooped.
everyone else, I have to run, we are packing up to go to the mountains. Got to pee 20 times before we go. Happy preggo weekend, and hit to all of you!:D

Christine~ Have a fun weekend, you're long over do!!

I'm not disappointed with appointment. Much of life is routine, isn't it? It was a expected. I do have some irriation though. I insisted on a peri referral, he didn't really seem like he knew how to go about doing one? And he won't "schedule" a c/s until 38 weeks,.........when term is 36 weeks with twins and I normally spontaneously go into labor around 37 weeks.:mad: Which means lucky I get to enjoy labor pains along with c/s woes and recovery.:mad: I miss my old ob/gyn.......

Congrats, dragonfly. It has been a long time since you've posted. Missed you!
