I've been having sinus(sinusitis) problems for the last 3 weeks, couldn't breath through my nose. Today I had an appointment at the University Clinic. they admitted me immediatley and I am getting surgery in about 2 hours. I am terrified! I never had surgery before.

Oh Belinda, I'm so sorry. Is DH back yet? I know you've been going through a lot these past few weeks and I hope this fixes the problem so you can get back to feeling like yourself. I am sending you good thoughts and lots of positive energy. :) Take care and keep us posted when you can.
 
I know surgery is a scary thought. You will be fine, Belinda!

I gotta tell you the happy drug that they give you right before makes it all worth it ;)

Goodness!!! Happy thoughts and healing vibes coming your way!!!! Remember, the best part of surgery is the cookies and juice afterwards!!!!

Belinda, I've had sinus surgery, and it was the best thing that I've done for my health (except for that appendectomy). Do you have someone to take care of you post-op? You'll need plenty of time to recover.

I found the recovery from the surgery to be easy. I had a bit more trouble with the anesthesia, as I'm one of those unlucky people who get terribly nauseated from it. But that passes in a day or so.

Just relax and don't worry. I know how frightening it can be, but the results were worth it for me. I've drastically reduced the number of sinus infections I get each year and I've been so much healthier!
