Posts/threads I don't read

Reading this I'm a bit :eek::eek::eek::eek:. Quite often I'm reading here while I'm nursing the baby (and a lot of times in the dark). It is hard enough to just type let alone capitalize/punctuate correctly when nursing in the dark typing 1-handed.

:eek::eek::eek:

That does not count! ;)

i am guilty of lowercase words but i do know what a period is. ;) just how i type, its not how i write or type messages/letters in real life, just how i type on message boards. and i will keep doing so b/c i just don't care,i am on a message board. i admit i am lazy, i barely have time to post let alone making my English perfect for those to appreciate my posts.

just my point of view though. :D

I can relate! Only my typing hinderances are two beagles across my lap with my laptop out to the side and typing one-handed!

Oh! I can really understand! It's amazing there aren't so many typos some times that it reads like a foreign language! :eek:

As someone who learned how to type properly in the 9th grade on a manual typewriter, I find that it slows me down to type without punctuation or without proper capitalization.

Do most of us type really fast with our hands on the correct keys? I think that makes a difference as to whether you type correctly.

I often experience these issues when using the toidy in the dark.

I don't mind all caps or all lower case in the title, but I agree about not wanting to read full paragraphs in all lower case or all upper case.

If a poster is too lazy to use lower case/caps and punctuation where appropriate, that's fine by me, but I don't feel too guilty about being too lazy or not having enough time to read it. ;)

one or two punctuation errors or missed commas do not bother me. :p I guess it's about overall readability for me.

Yep, that's all it is for me too. I just have a hard time reading all uppercase or lowercase with no punctuation. Can't tell where the sentences are in that case. Other than that, I never nit pick over proper punctuation, spelling, etc... It's just a forum and a lot of the time I'm typing one fingered on an iphone (with a weiner dog in my lap sitting on the toidy). ;)

I hope no one thinks I'm the grammar/punctuation police. It really is all about "readability" for me too since it's a forum, not a legal or professional document. I also admire our bilingual or trilingual forum members for their ability to communicate in more than one language!

Ok...what about Internet dating? I have a confession...when I get an e-mail from a prospective first date and he doesn't use capitalization or correct punctuation, it's a major turn off. I don't feel that way on these forums, but for some reason...with the prospective father of my first child, I want him to at least want to make a good impression. I'm all about the details...and I don't want to drive someone crazy if they aren't.

Anyone else feel the same way?
