Poll: cardio vs. weights

Hello, all,

I was working out this morning and thinking about my workout routine when I started wondering about all of your routines. What percentage of your week is spent on cardio and what percentage is spent on strength training? I think I'm about 50/50, but I'm thinking of doing a routine of 3 days strength and 2 days cardio.

How about you all?

Just curious,
Chrissy

At this time I do more cardio because my body responds better to more cardio. I tweak my strength workouts to reach my goals and to feel good. I crosstrain with different cardio styles but I do have to do cardio daily to achieve the results that I want and to have a whooping good time.

I do some form of cardio six days a week, mainly, because I enjoy it so much. I had been doing weights about four times a week, but now I am doing one body part a day, so I am spending 20 to 30 minutes on it six days a week. However, the legs workout to GS is an hour long.

I currently spend A LOT more time on strength than cardio. I do about 60 mins of strength per day and 30 mins of cardio...

Normally, I spend more time on cardio though...

I'm probably about 60% cardio/40% weight. I do cardio alone 3 days. The other 3 days I do weights, but try to tack on about 30 min of cardio or do some kind of circuit. The 7th day I rest.

Typically, I would say my routines are 60-75% weight training (includes Pilates Reformer) and 40-25% cardio depending on my mood and rotation. This month, it is primarily (60-70%) cardio only because I am doing an "atypical" (for me) Endurance Rotation to "mix it up." In general, I prefer weight training because I like the results (nothing shapes my body better) even though cardio can be so much fun;)
