All that I can say is WOW :confused: !!!

I did this disc this morning. I was dying to do it, so I decided to use it as a cardio workout. I lightened up on the weights. Muscle wise, I did good. But it kicked my butt cardiovascularly. My heart felt like it was going to come out of my chest. Those 1/2 turn jumps were soooo intense. I can't even imagine how much harder it will be with the right poundage!!

I love the plyo workouts! I'm doing one of them every week and they kick some serious butt! My heartrate monitor says I burn anywhere from 500-550 calories doing these workouts and they're all 50 minutes or less! :D

I have a hate relationship with them. :D

I love the Plyo legs workouts. They're just so tough. I just finished up with Plyo legs disc 35. All I can say is :eek:

I love Cathe's plyo workouts. I've been doing them for 7 weeks now, and they are not getting any easier!
I am using heavier weights now, but I drop them for the half turns in disc 26. Those half turns take the wind right out of me. I love when Cathe asks if we paused the dvd. I would like to know how she knew I was considering it. :eek:
 
By the end of the "half turns" I am doing quarter turns;) But I love pushing myself each week to see just how much I can take...:eek:

Me too- I just couldn't get my body to turn all the way in the 2nd round. :confused:. I have to say my knees are a little achy right now.

That's a good idea. I never thought of that. Next time I do a plyo leg workout, I'm going to do that instead of the regular version.

How are you incorporating them into your STS workout once/week? In lieu of regular legs day or as a cardio day?
 
I too did Plyo legs this weekend as Cardio and like Chrissy I just used lighter weights.....I LOVED IT :D:D:D Since I heard so many good thinks on the board about it I just could not wait anymore....(the big kid that I am ;) )

I am going to incorporate it also every week as a cardio / second leg workout.

2 days after this workout and I have a nice all over leg DOMS. It is not debilitating, but just enough to know I worked. I didn't even use heavy weights.

I'm doing them as a second legs day (with the heaviest weights I can muster). Here's my "general week" that I'm doing (switching days as needed):

Mon: STS C/S/B + Abs
Tues: STS Meso 3 Plyo + run 2.5 mile sprints
Wed: Run 5-6 miles interval run
Thurs: STS Legs + 3 mile easy run
Fri: STS B/T + Abs
Sat: Rest
Sun: Long run (ranging from 10 miles to 23 miles)

I'm doing something very similar to Kathy:

Sat. STS Meso 1 chest, shoulders, bis and core
Sun. Short cardio (like a CTX or 4DS cardio segment) + STS Plyo Legs
Mon. STS Meso 1 back, tris
Tues. Cardio and core
Wed. STS Meso 1 legs
Thurs. Cardio and core
Fri. Rest

Yesterday I did disc 29. Love it! It's my favorite of the plyo leg workouts (no one-legged squat thrusts in that one!) I have some nice/mild DOMS in my legs today.
