Please join me in a prayer....

My single cup coffee maker died this morning....

It was a sad event.

I watched it struggle to try and make one final cup of yummy Gevalia coffee for me, but alas, it just didn't have the strength.

I am saying a prayer for it before I find it an appropriate final resting place.

I loved it with all of my heart.

It served me well.

:p :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :p

Okay, so I'm a dork...or maybe I'm just bored...deal with it! LOL

Oh no! I don't drink coffee (I'm a big loose-leaf tea drinker) but I'm usually the one to make DH's coffee. He actually uses a French Press and loves it...he won't go back to using a regular coffee pot! I use my own french press for my loose leaf tea. Something to consider :)

My deepest sympathies for you and your faithful friend. How inspiring to know that it fought until the bitter end with the same tried and true spirit that it lived its life with. Goodness knows it certainly lived a very fulfilling life if it had to keep up with your daily coffee consumption :p :7!

Now you get to shop for a new one...how fun!

Wendy, I know what your coffee pot meant to you, and send my deepest condolences. Just try to remember it as it was when it was in the prime of it's life, and all the happiness that it brought you. Remember that it enjoyed a good, long life and that nothing lasts forever. You are a strong and resilient person, and I know you will find the courage to go on.

Wendy, my thoughts are with you during this sad time. Try to remember all the happy times you shared with your coffee-maker. Remember it will always hold a place in your heart. ;-)

May I suggest a Keurig single cup dispenser with the K cup system. We've had one for a year and it was pricy but man does it serve a great cup of coffee. I even bought the "use your own coffee" reuseable "k cup".

The worst things happen during the holidays.

I tip my hat to you for even being able to post after such a traumatic event. I would be babbling incoherently. You are a strong lady.

Thanks so much for your kind words in my time of need everyone.

Luckily for me, I've always had a back up waiting in the wings for when such an event occurred. It's not a single cup maker as my dearly departed was, but it will do for now.

I knew my pot was sick so I asked for a new one for Christmas. Hopefully I receive it and it will serve me as happily and heartily as the departed did. :)
