Please don't burst my bubble

Cathlete
I just went and bought a pair of new jeans. Tommy Hilfiger jeans. First, they were regular $90 and I got them for $39.99. Second, they're a SIZE FREAKING 25!!! I don't think I've worn Size 25 since high school...

Now please nobody burst my bubble and tell me that Size 25 now used to be a Size 40 10 years ago, or that Tommy makes their jeans way big to make people feel better. Just let me be happy about my purchase, mmmmmmmmmkay? ;)

Go, Shelley!!!!

Shelley:

Congratulations! :) No bubble bursting here. :7 Canadians do not vanity size, right? ;-)

I wore a size 28 when I weighed 260 pounds, so y’all obviously have a different sizing system up there. You look fit and fabulous no matter what size you wear. :)

I am hoping to meet you in July if Liann and I type fast enough next Friday. :7

Blessings,
Heather B.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV).

Thanks, guys!

Heather - Size 25 refers to waist size, I think, just like men's pants are sized that way.

And, in fact, our sizes here are one up from yours. I take a 4 in the U.S. and a 6 here.

>I don't get it....

Because Shelley said that sizes run smaller in Canada than in the US... so, for example, if you're a 4 in the US, you'd be a 6 in Canada. Sadly, I'm not a 4 in any country. :p But I'll stick with my good ol' American vanity sized clothes, thankyouverymuch!

I always thought that the Canadiens were a threat to national security, now I"m terrified - if they take over America, we'll end up with fat jeans sizes!!!!!!

And no matter what, a size 25 is, has and always will be tiny!

It's TRUE! You think Canadians are all nice with their cute accents and silly hockey obsession, but the truth is, they're trying to take over the world! :p ;)

Good job Shelley, nice to enjoy the results of your hard work and discipline. You should be feeling very good about yourself you sexy thang :) Good on YA!!

Take Care
Laurie:)

Oh Shell .. congrats ... good deal and even better lower size .. WOO HOO!!!

and IA w/the others ..I will NEVER buy clothes in Canada .. LOL!!!!

Shelly,

That's AWESOME! I've never bought a pair of Tommy jeans. I could never get them to fit right. Do they even make a pair for a big Bootay?!?!?! I just got some year end clearance jeans that was a buy one, get one free sale: a size 25 in the AG New Legend Dakota jeans and a size 26 in the Joe's Honey jeans. The Joe's Honey jeans are still a tad loose in the waist, but there's enough room for my big rear and thighs. The only reason I was able to get my big Bootay into my new favorite jeans, the AG jeans, was because of their LOVELY stretch denium and heart shape bootay cut.:7 Now, I'm debating if I can stick them in the dryer!

Wendy

Congrats, Shelley!! That is fabulous -- both the size and the bargain price.

I *love* finding a good bargain. I tell DH, "Sometimes you have to spend money to save money." He thinks my logic is flawed LOL

Wendy - I dunno.... I have some pretty good junk in my trunk and these fit pretty well. And your bootay can't be THAT big if you're fitting into 25 waist jeans ;)
