I am exactly like you. My fitness room is in my basement with a large tv and DVD player without any cable or Internet. . I have tons of equipment and space so that's the only place I workout. You can make up any workout you want using the workout blender with your downloads . You then save the video and drag into iTunes. You can either connect your laptop to your tv and play the video that way using the right cables. Or you can load the video on your iPod, iPhone or iPad and connect those to your tv. I have an 80 gb iPod and I bought a cable to hook it to the tv for $40. The video then plays on the tv with sound. I've made at least 8 workouts using the workout blender using xtrain, cf, thm and afterburn. It's addictive!!! Chris
What happens if you lose your internet connection? During last summer doracio (sp?), we lost our verizon service ('net, cell and landline), but our power never went out.
If you aren't a Luddite like myself, it would probably be worth the extra $20 to get both!
THANK YOU! That makes sense! My ipod is a nano, but my husband has more than one ipod with a lot of memory. Plus I've been looking for an excuse to purchase an ipad.....
My question about the downloads is--how do you use them on your TV? Or do you have to do it with a computer? My workout room has a large TV and DVD player that are plugged into the wall and that's it--no cable, nothing. Now, the TV in our living room has cable, an Apple TV, a blueray player, a DVR, and a PS3. My husband does all kinds of stuff with all that though I have no clue how to mess with it and don't turn on that tv w/out him. (he has some master remote that I don't feel like learning how to use). However, I use my workout room tv every day! I like the idea of the workout blender, but I have A LOT of workout equipment and an entire workout room to hold it. I am not going to haul it into the living room every time I want to do a strength workout.
So all of that to ask--exactly how do you watch the downloads? Is there something I can do via my DVD player (other than burn DVDs--but I read somewhere on this forum you can't do that)? Like plug a laptop into it?
Do I sound as clueless as I feel about these downloads?
