***ONE DAY AT A TIME*** July 9 thru Sept 9

Yesterday evening, I did Imax 3. I liked it a little better this time, I think because I picked up on the choreography a little better this time. Then, as I was stretching, I watched the Premix that's just the step portion so I could get it in my head a bit better. There are a couple of blasts that I really have to modify so they are lower intensity. I just cleaned today. That's all I felt up for. I think it will take at least a couple of weeks before I start feeling better, but I hope it's sooner than that!
Cathy: YAY! So glad you were able to do Pilates!!! I bet it felt good to just do SOMEthing!! Good luck with your freezing veggies today!
Renee: Great job on CF! I heard or read that same thing. It is a good one to keep in mind! I hope your foot is doing OK today!

Jane I havnt been able to do all of imax3 yet! I judt now can do all of 2. Nut it is fun. So I'm so impressed with how you are doing! So which new workout do u like best? I like ttm I think.
Cathy it will b so nice if we can do a rotation together I think it is or may b motivating knowing someone is doing same thing lol. Not sure since so far I haven'tbeen able to stick with a rotation so far. Id like to start after ther 8 of sept. Hope its not to late.
See me n hubby we are going to beach around the 5-7 and before that we going to wva to visit daddy .. I have been putting it off because I don't want to see his foot. I would ost a pic on r thread but don't know how. And it may make y'all sick. I know it made me quizzy.
Anyway DH and I have never gone to the beach or anything together. Sounds nuts but when the kids were small we never had enough monry. We were kinda poor. Only vacation we had was going to wv to see family and that was a pinch on the purse. If we had amy money no time to do anything. Now he has a better job that we can actually do something. But I'm excited about it. But I still wish we could have taken kids when they were younger. I hear people talk about family vacation and think they are very licky to be able to do that. Then again I'm thankful we at least got to go back home For visits a lot of people don't have that even. Well I may do nothing today. I had church today and went to lunch with my son today. I may take toxay as reast day. I have burn around 2500 already this week anyway. I may feel fat and lazy and do something lol.
 
One more question ..what do you to think about circuit blast from shock cardio I ordered that along with step moves. I hope it isn't crazy hard. I am hoping it is fun...doable but not sooo intense I need a nap lol.
 
Hello All:),
We got our freezing done yesterday & DD was out to get carrots!

I'm experimenting with my physio stretches as it might be that I sleep better if I do them 1-2 hrs. before bed! I finally got some sleep last night!!

Renee: I know what you mean about the kids! We can come home when we want, go where we want, & sometimes(going to sound insensitive here) it's kinda nice no kids!!!
As far as the rotation after the 7th is fine but, I do have a doctor's appointment the week of the 10th, so I might miss a day!

Jane: Great on Imax 3!:) My favorite is Imax 2!! I'm not sure why!! I'm not doing anything today as yesterday was a very long day. I'll do something tomorrow!

Ok.. circuit blast is done... oh my I thought this one would not bother the foot much. This is second one in cardio shock I have and both made my foot burn in the bone. One the virst set it was burning feeling! So I may end up saling that one and athletic step. I'm not sure. I kept going I just tried not jump to high. The part u jump over the step well I jusst jumped like I was jumping over it but there was nothing I was jumping lol. I also felt if my foot was good I would have had a ball! Also the athletic step I just loved the music and the moves were fun, but after that one my foot hurt to. Frustrating for sure!
Cathy wiill the doctor tell you for sure by then youcan workout?
Man id love if I can find someone around here who grow veggies id buy them! I mean I tried in wv had great success. But for 13 yrs we have been here in South Carolina we tried to have a garden but I can't grow anything in sand. My mother however she could I don't know how, bless her heart.
Also I know what you mean about stretching I mean when k do yoga I find I am sooo relaxed.

The best news I've heard in a long time - Cathy got some sleep! Yahoo! HUGS, my friend!!!!! & that's awesome, that your garden is able to feed 3families! So much work, but it's so worth it, I'm sure! We have a guy that sells corn & tomatoes on our "business" strip on the weekends, but that's it. We do have a big Farmer's Market, but it's in a really, really rough neighborhood (I'm talking drive-by shootings rough), so I've never been. We grow our own tomatoes, but the corn from this guy is always wonderful.
Renee: Yes, those 2 - Circuit Blast & Athletic Step are very high impact. Step Moves is more my style out of the STS Cardio ones. The only vacations we took when the kids were young were to see family, also. We do what we have to do! Enjoy the beach! We went to Hawaii for our tenth wedding anniversary years ago - that was our once-in-a-lifetime dream vacation. We spent 10 days there. I wanted to move there, but I couldn't talk DH into it. So beautiful there! But, very expensive there, as well, so it's probably a good thing I couldn't talk DH into it!
Yesterday was Clean Max (the house really needed it!), & today was Kick, Punch & Crunch. I'm so glad you talked me into that one, Cathy. It's a lot of fun! Same here, I like Imax 2 much better than Imax 3. I have to be careful in Imax 2, though, because it was during the sumo squats that I hurt my hip/back the last time. But, my chiropractor showed me what I probably did wrong, & they haven't given me trouble since. I've been enjoying my day to myself. DH went fishing, so I actually got some alone time! :D

Jane you enjoying your day alone? I bet you r. I do when I gett that chance! I did lis from 4Ds. My foott was hurting tomorrow is weight workout.
My daddy is in hospital in wv. I hate I'm not there. He is ggoing to get his foot amputated. It brakes my heart. I told you guys about three months ago he was going to have leg removed. Well I guess they werre saving it to see if they could but now gain green! I dread going because I'm. A big baby when it comes to my parents I can't see them suffer. Not sure how he is gonna do. He is so independent. If. I go I wil cry and I don't want to. We'll I'm going to see him in a couple days or weeks. Got to get work ready see if we casm fond someone to talk my place.

I did Yoga Relax yesterday evening, since I was in a lot of back pain yesterday. I'm still in a lot of pain today, but I'm hoping to do CrossFire this evening, or a weight workout.
Renee: So sorry about your father! HUGS & prayers for you & your father. I hope you can find a sub for you at work so that you can be with him. It is hard when it's your parent - role reversal is never easy! How long of a drive is that for you?

Cathy I'm so happy u did spj! I can't do the hi lo part very good. Got to make it all lo. Thanks for the prayers we need it. They was gonna wait til wed for surgery then got text saying it was at 3 today then at five got call that it is wed again dure to his bp to high.
 
JANE. WHAT HAPPENED? I hate ur back is out! I'm gonna do yoga tonight my foot hurts still. I got step moves in man it looks fun. I just hope I can grt the choreography! Lol. But it does look more steady state. I love steady state. I like warming up to a more intenity as you go and level off to a certain peak keep hr there for a while then bring it down slowly.. I love that. Iim old fashion I supose. I tell u what thaat. Kind of exercise got me to lose weight. Hmm.

Thanks for your concerns about my back pain, but it's just a fibromyalgia flare up. It's still pretty bad today, but this too shall pass! My foam roller & I have become best buddies the last few evenings! ;) I was able to do the CrossFire Less Impact PreMix yesterday evening. Renee, you're right - it's still a pretty good workout, but without all the impact.
Cathy: Way to go on SJP! Did it feel really good to do a DVD? I hope you're not paying for it today. Is doing the physio in the evening still helping you sleep, I hope? Still no word on DH's x-rays?
Renee: I hope they can get your father's blood pressure down! I know he has to be frightened, which wouldn't help the blood pressure any. Are you still going to try to get time off from work? The choreography in Step Moves can be a bit tricky, but keep at it because once you get it, it is SO much fun! I had to really listen hard to Cathe's cues when I was learning this one. Keep us posted about your father, & we'll be praying!

Jane : what exactly is fibromyalgia i know it is wide spread pain but why? Do they not know what causes it? I mean it seems like a mystery to me and sad at that. It wont get worse will it? I use foam rollar on my upper back adn i can feel the spin popping, it feels so good lol.Oh Jane i love CrossFire Less Impact PreMix I am supose to do it friday i think i have it down for.
Yes i will be going to see dad but it will be at end of Augest next weekend. I had planned it for then anyway.. I just hate not being there then again im chicken so i will go in a week.. he is in hospital anyway and he will need me more when he goes home. He will need help cause he wont be able to walk.. i sent him some flowers and called this morning, they did his surgery early today he is in recovery now.. Im so glad he has made it this far..

Cathy: I hope You are still feeling good today!SJP didnt make it worse did it?? Yeah what about the xrays?

Well ladies i was planning on step moves today but i was messing with my vcr to try to get it working on my tv and i got it ot working and i was watching step heat it is one i got from amazon a while back for 5 dollars!! so i never did it yet, because i couldnt figure out how to get vhs to work on my other tv.. well i started viewing it while i was folding cloths and after the warm up had to jump in and try it. the Choreography is easy on it and steady state it got my heart rate up desent and kept it there i loved it.. no intrevals and stuff i did feel like i jogged.. i love that type of workouts... once in a while i mean do we have to have intravels and HIIT all the time? lol Im old fashioned i guess. But step moves tomorrow !! oh i did add on push pull upper body to get in my weights this week..

The SJP Premix I did yesterdy had no hi/lo in it! It's just step & weights alternating between the two!

Jane: I'm sorry your "fibro" is acting up again!! Great on the Cross Fire Premix though!!

I took a rest day yesterday - still in too much pain...
Renee: How is your dad doing today? I hope the surgery went well & that there are no complications. This must be heart-rending for you. I'm glad you're able to go visit him next week. Fibromyalgia is, from what I understand, diagnosed by pushing on "tender points" throughout the body. Most people, when pushed in these places, don't have a reaction. "Fibro" people will feel pain when pushed in these places. Widespread muscle pain, fuzzy thinking, lack of balance, lack of coordination are all part of it. & some people cannot stand to be touched at all - it literally hurts for some to wear clothes! I'm not that bad, thankfully. When I have what I call a flare, I ache all over like I have the flu. Some think the muscles are always so tight due to lack of oxygen - others think it has something to do with nerves. & if I wake up with a "crick" in my neck, forget it - it will hurt for over a month. No one knows what causes it, & pretty much nothing helps - pain meds don't usually help, either... I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!
Cathy: I'm sorry to hear that your sleep was disrupted! At least you put the time to good use! LOL I know you would rather have been sleeping, though!
I'm going to try to do something tonight - maybe it will help!

I dont have time for personals but wanted to report i just did step moves, It was fun! I really have to do it again to learn it.. i was lost a couple of times but i think if i do it again i will get it after a couple more times.. Jane you are right it is fun or will be fun. I put the step down to just the topper to learn it so i dont twist my ankle lol..

Happy to say DAD is out of surgery and i talk to him on phone.. he was joking around. He is so strong! He was telling my other sister he needed toe nail polish lol.. of course you know he has no toes.. well anyway he said he is moving around!! I ask it he was in pain he said no, but he wont tell me if he was.. He is going to be 80 yrs old this Oct.. he is a miricle if you ask me both his parents past early his dad at 45 heart problems and his mom late 50s to early 60's not sure why i thin cancer.. but dad is kicking it still. He wont sit still, now i know where i get my stubborness.
I will be back tomorrow!

I took another rest day yesterday. Just getting through the work day wore me out! Luckily, my DH had a meeting yesterday evening, so I didn't have to fuss with fixing dinner. I'm still in pain today, but dare I say, it's not quite as bad as it was yesterday, so I think the end of this flare is in sight. :D I'm now wondering if this is all connected to my quitting Zyrtec. I googled antihistamine withdrawal yesterday & was shocked by what I discovered! People were discussing the WEEKS of withdrawal symptoms - itching, bloating, dizziness, nausea, & pain - all of which I've been having! :confused: I'll never take that crap again!!!:rolleyes::mad:

Jane: It's possible the anti-histamine may have added to your fibro symptons as well as the withdrawal symptons!:(
Hoping you'll soon be over this soon & the pain subsides!

I haven't slept very well for 3 nights now & with the heavy muggy weather we've had yesterday. So I'm only doing the phsyio stretches for today!
DD should be out on Sun. with 1 or both of the grand-daughters & DS & DIL & the wee one I haven't seen for awhile!

I don't sleep either but that might b what's hindering my weight loss. I did step moves again. Still gor to do a few more times to get it. I am havi.g trouble on secomd one.
 
This weekend has been House Max & stretches!

Jane: Hoping your back is better & House max didn't irritate it too much!

Renee: Great on Step Moves:) I wish you could get more sleep! There are studies showing that sleep deprivation hinders weight loss!
When I don't sleep for more than 2 weeks I can put on as much as 3 LBS. even with watching & marking what I eat!
