I still like cardio more. Lol

Well I did MM upper body yesterday and......so did DH! But he said was to embarrassed to do it in front of me. Lol he said when he gets better hell do it with lol. Ill Take it. I did peek in on him every once in a while he was doing well!
I did athletic step today. That is only the second time I've done that and I think it FEELS higher impact then, Ttm! Hurt my feet during that one, I wonder y? Hmm. Have good weekend!

Thursday was physio & she really couldn't add much more exercises as Cathe seems to be covering most of the recommended exercises:D
But I'm suppose to do only:( 30 min./day plus yoga/stretch plus the list of daily exercises she gave me! She thinks I'm trying to do more than my back is capable of for now!
Friday I went to she DIL & grand-daughter for about 2 1/2 hrs. She's so cute:D
Today is already stuffy & getting hot already!

Both of you are doing so great on your workouts:D

Jane I think you're going to like Step Blast but try the step portion of Step Jump & Pump also!

Renee how is KCM working for your back? I find KCM & Cathe complement each other!

Cathy what does a physiogist do? Am I spelling that right?
I have only done kcm once with full body weights it was good ...different I liked it. It is something I think ill do once a week as a moderate weight workout not too intense. I think I'm gonna try the kiickbox today since I work today I get home around 530 so either rest day for me or kcm. I did HSC yesterday I love that one..not boring at all and I can modify jumping jacks if I have to.
Jane let us know how u like SJP! I love the step section in that! I love the music! My fav I. Think I like step blast to. I wish theree was a premix of just step. Portion of SJP and some step blast! So many pm on that but not the one id lime to have so ii have to stop it and ggo to chapters in the other to make it the way id like!! Lol.
Cathy I almost forgot! Any veggies from the garden yet? Lol.
 
Good afternoon ladies,
I did Slow & Heavy Chest & Back on Friday evening, but didn't do anything over the weekend. I didn't even clean the house, except for the bathroom. I have to have a clean bathroom! LOL Every time I stood up, I got dizzy, so I just took it easy.
We have enjoyed some great tomatoes this year! YUM! I could eat those with cottage cheese until I burst! LOL
Cathy: It's always good to know that Cathe is teaching us the "right stuff"! ;) Does the physiotherapist hold out hope that "things" will get better eventually??? I'm glad you got to enjoy time with your new granddaughter! Don't you love this age? I could coo & love over a baby for hours!!
Renee: I think Athletic Step is pretty jump intensive, so maybe that's why your foot hurt? The first round of that seems to be all jumping! Haven't done SJP yet.
I want to do a lower body workout tonight, but I'll wait & see how I feel. I went to the chiropractor this morning, but she really only adjusted my neck & worked on the elbow a bit.

I did the standing portion of Lower Body Blast yesterday evening. I had not done that one in a very long time. I had forgotten how tough it is! I can bet I'll be sore later today!

Well he hasn't done anymore yet :( for two days. Hopefully he will see me workout tonight and will see. I'm not sure what to do tonight. Maybe ttm hiit portion or lower impact one. Or a very light one lime low impact step. The one she's In red ...or wait I forgot I have kcm step box to do. I'm not sure if ill like it the punching when I viewed it seemed confusing. Like I kind of don't know where I'm punching I can see me get mad at myself. I may try it.
Cathy so what is physio gonna do? What is that exactly?
Jane I wonder do u think a man would enjoy Slow and heavy? I have it but forgot what iys like. I not sure I liked it because I always think I need more then two muscle groups. I mean arnt u supose to do weight at least two to three times a week? If you only do parts how do u incorporate that series? I may try it if I can understand the concept. That's y I never got I interested in STS I never felt I could lose weight that way. Maybe if I was slim already id love to do that program. What do u guys think?
 
Renee, I think it's up to the individual. I personally like training just a couple body parts per workout. I feel as though those parts are really worked harder/longer than in a total body weight workout. But, some people prefer total body weight workouts. In Slow & Heavy, you lift the weight to a count of 6, then lower the weight for 2 counts. I like it because there's no momentum going to "help" lift the weight. If your DH likes doing weight workouts, split workouts might be the way to go. It gives me incentive to finish because I don't want to leave a body part undone for the week! I've often thought that what I should do is split workouts, & then do one total body workout in a week, & that way I'd work each body part twice.

I just did Slow & Heavy Shoulders yesterday evening. Didn't do the Legs portion since I had just done Lower Body Blast. Definitely got DOMS from LBB. I don't usually get DOMS. :confused: Guess I'm going to have to add it more frequently to my rotations! I think I'm going to do a couple of weeks of nothing but weights, unless I get a bugaboo about doing cardio. I'm not as tired after a weight workout as I am after cardio. I'm going to listen to my body & quit pushing myself so hard. It's not like this weight is budging the way I'm going!!!:rolleyes::confused::p
Do you two follow "Go Kaleo" on Facebook? I love her & her posts! Here's one of her posts from yesterday that really gave me an "AHA" moment:

As long as my focus was on my weight, I was spinning my wheels, trying to treat the symptoms. I like the quote as well, I agree with it for sure. I just always have that same problem I know my weight isnt the problem it is the habits i have that is the problem and i am trying to learn to how to listen to my body. I find it so hard because I am always making sure i push myself and I have this little thing in the back of my head telling me to push harder and if i feel pain i hear well maybe that is just my lazy bone and i think it steams from years of someone telling me i was fat and fat people are lazy. That was my foster dad he and my foster mom would tell me i was getting fat at age of 12 she put me on diet pills. It is psycological i know. I have had counseling my intire life anyway for all of the bagage i carry. It is just so hard to know the difference. One thing i am happy about is i dont have to be the skinnest person in the room. I used to have to be or id feel inferior and i was the skinnest at one point. I was down to 103 pound and i loved it although i could look int he mirror and see a fat girl still. I have gained almost half of it back and it is hard to see i have let myself go again however i see pics of me at my lowest and yes i looked sick. Now i just want to enjoy my body moving without pain! I want to celbrate how i am wonderfuly made by the creator. I consentrate on that. I feel better that way, but i still have a hard time making that voice in there sut up at times lol

I am going to to TTM today once i feel better i have a slight headache i had been out trying to look for places to rent for my son. Everything is so so expensive and it is sad that it is to much for alot of people. People just dont know how that can be. I do i was homeless at one time in my life with two baby boys! I will never forget that and i willl always appriciate my home and that is why i hate to even leave it for to long. I am grateful to have a roof over my head. I ache for my sons i wonder if they will ever be able to afford to rasie a family it brakes my heart so much to see them struggle as much as i had to.

I did Muscle Endurance for the first time ever yesterday evening. Wish I had done it sooner - I love the song "Eye of the Tiger"!!! Plus, there were some unique & totally different moves in it! I'll be doing this one again & again!
Cathy: Hope physio is going well & is helping!
Renee: First off, HUGS! You have been through many, many challenges & hardships, & at such a young age. Let me say kudos to you for having the strength & courage to get counseling. I understand what you're saying about hurting for your children. I'm right there with you, & I think Cathy is, too! I think we hurt MORE for our children & when our children are hurting - it tears holes in our hearts! It sounds like you're starting to respect your body, too. I struggled with the "lazy" part, too, but finally realized, looking back, that ALL of my injuries would have been prevented if I had just listened to the messages that my body was sending me. I still push, too, but the older I get, the more I realize that I'm never going to have Cathe's body, no matter how hard I push myself, so I need to honor mine! Good job on your workouts! TTM is tough!

I did ttm yesterday! I really love that one I think its a mind thing that lime doibg it. Because its in segments! Makes it easier to " hang in there" not really but makes me think to get through this and etc.
Thanks Jane. I'm lucky really because I have my family still really. I know who my siblings are. And a lot of people who went through similar stuff never get to see there real ffamily again. I did and I thhink God has always been there protecting me. Loll.
Soooo what do u guyss tbink... wwee can watch the RT. That's pretty neat!
Ih DH hasn't worked out again yet. :( oh well he will. When he's ready.
Jane I have ME and havnt done it yet. I may have to pull it out and try it.

I took yesterday evening off & just read a book! My DH had a meeting, so I didn't have to listen to the depressing news! Yay!
Renee: I know what you mean about TTM - I like them both (TTM & CrossFire) because of the segments. It is psychological, I agree! OK, I can do this segment, you tell yourself, then you're onto the next segment before you know it! It's not too much on your foot? Yes, it is good that you know & have your family! Love is everything!
Cathy: Hope your garden is growing well. Our tomatoes are coming in fast & furious & I've been giving them away hand over fist at work! How is the heat up your way? Supposedly, we're to finally get a break this weekend, & it will be in the 80's instead of the 90's & 100's. I don't know if we'll get much of a break in the humidity - I hope so. That's what makes it so hard to breathe. How are you feeling? Is physio going well, I hope?

My computer is going to be another 1-2 weeks before I have it back, but I have use of one(of & on) for the time being!

Renee: I'm very sorry to read about your childhood! People don't seem to understand that what they say affectes a child!

Jane: I agree with the "Go Kaleo" Our habits & thinking seems to affect our weight as much as food!

To both of you absolutely great on your workouts & I'm so proud of both of you!

Sunday I froze peas & beans & we had to water the garden. Mon. was chiropractor(she took X-Rays because the physiotherapist wanted one) & picked up a couple of bonnets for the baby & spent some time with them in the afternoon!
Tue. was running on the road moving equipment from point A to B plus I went out to the garden for lettuce & picked a basket of other & took those over to DS & DIL
Wed. we moved equipment from point B back to point A & watered the garden
Yesterday I froze peas, beans, beets, & watermelon radish plus it was cooler with a light rain!
Today is suppose to hotter again but it's the humidity here that's keeping things hot
This summer is 100% better than last summer:D
Once I get my computer back I should be on more!

Hello all I hope you guys had a great weekend. I did ME and ran yesterday. I miss running
I did 33 min of cycle max today and IMAX2 intreval 1-5 today. I still am the same weight and i have exercised alot the past three weeks and ate better! WTHeck! i just want to scream!! oh i did yoga relax to. lol

Renee: GREAT JOB on all your workouts!!! I know you must be frustrated at the scale not budging, but I have read that when you change up your routine at all, your muscles tend to retain water as they are healing. I read that somewhere - it can take up to 4 weeks for your muscles to start letting go of the water. So, DON'T GIVE UP! I wish I had known that when I started doing LIS, because I gained weight when I started that. I gave up on doing it as a rotation because of that.
Cathy: Wow! You have been super busy! That's a workout in itself - getting everything ready to freeze & then moving all that equipment around! & you got time with the baby! Yay! I'm so thankful that you are 100% better than last summer! Awesome!
I didn't do much over the weekend except clean the house! LOL I did do STS Total Body on Friday evening, but that was it! The heat finally broke over the weekend, but it's on its way back today. :( Hottest July EVER for the U.S. Whew!
Have you been watching any of the Olympics? I love watching diving & gymnastics, & the Opening Ceremony was nothing short of spectacular!

I really like 4 ds it is hard though for me to lift heavy. Don't know why but my bones and joint hurt before I get DOMS and I hate that. I used to love getting sore but nowadays its a different kind of sore that's scary to me. If I go lighter I have no DOMS if I go heavy bones ache. So confusing.

Ok today I did ttm low impact premix and added core. I almost through up two times! This is like 3 or 4 times doing this workout I did as is 2 times of that. It seems to b getting harder! I wonder why. Very frustrating! Lol. I did yoga relax after that. Hope u guys r good.

I took a rest day yesterday. The evening before, I did Cardio Supersets, & got leg DOMS! That's why I took a rest day. I don't know why all of a sudden, I'm getting DOMS when I hardly ever used to?:confused:
Renee: I'm always amazed at how much you work out! I can only make it through one workout per day! I haven't done TTM low impact yet. Maybe I'll go with that tonight, although I was going to work legs... Hmmm... Decisions, decisions... LOL! Do you think you almost threw up because you got too hot? Had you eaten anything prior to working out? If I get too hot, or if my blood sugar is low, or if I get dehydrated, I feel like I'm going to throw up or pass out. Or maybe you're getting a touch of the flu? Hope it's nothing serious! But, make sure you're always getting plenty of water to drink during your workout. I try to eat an apple with some peanut butter an hour or 2 before I work out. That has helped me a lot. About lifting heavy & making your bones hurt - could it be tendons or ligaments? To be honest, that doesn't sound good! Have you gone to the Dr. about this?
Cathy: Hope your garden continues doing well! We're eating tomatoes like crazy. YUM! Also hope that physio is going well, & that you're able to do what you want to do. Is your granddaughter who got hurt doing OK, I hope?
