***ONE DAY AT A TIME*** July 9 thru Sept 9

Hello Jane .. yes I ate an omelet. That's what I thouggt it was. I waited an hr or so before I started. But I thjnk too I hadn't eaten much greasy latley so it could be that to! That is good u had DOMS! I love that. Little fibers are gonna get stronger!
Yes I been to doctor. I need a new one. All he can say is I have arthritis and osteopnea and gives me pills! Don't like that soim looking for new doctor. He told me I won't get any better. Wow thanks dude. Lol I'm not listening to him. And I only take the pills when there's pain. Like he originally said. Now he said I'm to take it all the time weather I'm hurting or not! But it can cause heart problems and liver damage. So I listen to my body and try hard to do the right thing.

Not sure what to do today... circuit or weight. So I may do push pull because its not to hard a total body and bout 45 min. Or cadio and weights or low impact circuit. What are other circuits that r fun and not to long?
 
I decided on push pull .. I liked it! Just right for me. I'm not advanced on weight workouts soi heard a lot of people think its easy so I tried it. I used weight that I knew was challenging for me. And sure enough great workout I sweat some but was not feeling like I created a hernia in my head! Lol. O tjink I'm gonna do it every week to see how I'm progressing! Oh plus i love the music in it! Good afternoon, ladies! Yesterday evening I did Total Body Trisets - Lower Body PreMix. That was a good workout. Not sure what I'll try to do tonight. I haven't done AfterBurn or Athletic Training for awhile. I'll see what I feel like by the time I get home. May decide just to do YogaRelax. It has been crazy busy at work the last 2 days. I can always tell when it's a full moon! LOL;) Of course, I wrote the above BEFORE I saw Cathe's August rotation... LOL
Renee: Great job - I like Push/Pull, too. I'm glad you didn't feel sick while you were doing it. Good idea about doing it every week - then you can really tell if you're improving. I think that's one of my problems - I change things up too often. Even though I record my weights, if it has been awhile since I did it, I tend to grab the same weights. Well, duh, that's never going to get me anywhere! :p:rolleyes: I know Cathe says to change things up a lot, but I've been reading more & more lately about how you should stick with the same thing for 3 to 4 months before you change - just increase your weight &/or reps.
Cathy: Hope you get your computer back soon - we miss you!

Hi Jane I did step blast today I did up to the very last blast I just could not keep going..but I kept moving. Its strange because I've done that one three times before I did great each time. I did forget the steps cause I never did it enough. But I should have been able to finish I tbink I had 5 minutes to go! Oh well this means I need to do it agaei guess. Lol
You are doing well on ur workouts! We r trucking along one day at a time!
I miss cathy to and where did catli. Go? I hope she is ok.

I picked up my computer yesterday & this is the first chance I've had to try it!
You both have been doing great on your workouts & I'm envious!


Sun. DD was out to pick veggies(we helped) & that was 4 hrs. Also got hot & humid later & we then had a T-storm that nite
Mon. Was the chiropractor
Tue. Picked, prepped & froze veggies all day
Wed. Another pick, prep & freezing all day
Thu. Went for physio. She's a fellow gardener & knows what's involved so she gave me stretches to do instead & I'm to start back on exercises when the garden isn't taking all my time
Fri. Was chiropractor & odds'n ends & physio stretches

I think I'm up to date & will try to catch up more later

I'm sorry you arnt doing well Cathy! I know it sounds like u have been very busy! Just take it easy and stretch you will be back at it soon. What is a physo? Lol sorry ..

Jane hope u r good today! I did a very light workout today low impact step and total body sculpting. Smooth and not intense at all. I tjink that's another yhing I plan two low intense workouts a week and four high intensity workouts with a stretch after a few of them. Hey I actually lost a pound! It took 2 months but it went. Oh well I hope it wasn't just my bowels lol.

Hello ladies!
It has cooled off here today, but we didn't get the storms - they missed us. Bummer, because we really, really need the rain!
Friday evening, I didn't do anything :eek:, but Saturday, after cleaning the house, I did TurboBarre, & Sunday, I did Low Impact Circuit + the Bonus Cardio segment.
Renee: Maybe you're pushing too much? Some days I am just too tired & that keeps me from getting through a workout. It's good that you backed off a bit with your next workout!
Cathy: It's great to have you back here! We missed you! Do you get enough produce from your garden to keep you all winter? You certainly don't have to worry about GMOs on your home-grown produce! Are your physio stretches helping at all? Have you been able to get any sleep? With that much pain, it would be hard to sleep. I'm still not sleeping very well. Last night, I literally woke up every 45 minutes in a hot flash. I go back to the Dr. on the 14th. I'm hoping she'll "up" my hormones a bit. I hope she doesn't tell me to give it more time. It has been 3 months. :confused:
Anyway, I'm going to at least try to do the workouts listed in Cathe's August rotation - maybe not in the same order, since some workouts are much longer than others (those I save for the weekends). I think the only one I don't have is Step Max.

Hello All,
DD came this morning instead of yesterday(garden too wet) so spent about 90 min. picking veggies for her! We had just under 2" of rain between Fri. & Sat. Next we went up to DS & DIL where I was able to spend some time with the baby!:D
Also got in 1 set of stretches. I'm suppose to do 2 more yet!

Renee: Physio is suppose to help people with injuries or age related mobility/motility problems(anyone correct me if I'm wrong) to keep moving & help in the case of injuries to regain use of the affected joint/spine!
I'm going to butt in but I think you should drop 1 of your high intensity workouts for something less intense or some yoga! So it would be 3 & 3!

Jane: We are hoping to get enough for the winter but DH likes his veggies! I've been doing the stretches since Thur. nite & I'm not noticing anything yet!
I hope you get the hormones staightened out as that has been a while!
I sooooo want to do a step workout!!!!!

Hmm. Well I don't mind u telling me at all cathy! I am on forums for friends and advice so are not butting in! So.. u mean three weight days and three cardio? I get so confused! I try to do rotation and I end up lost because I don't have everything. I really want to pick two weight workouts and three or four cardio step and use just those til I get them down pat. Then do the others. I also seen a few rotations that was all mixed up alittle of this dvd a little of that. Ohhh I can't do that yet to confusing. Lol. I'm new to cathe really so that is overwhelming for sure.
I just wish I can find one for weight loss! Is that really that difficult to find? Lol one that's looks clean on paper and non complicated. I had thought about sts but I don't think that is what I need at this point. So both of ur advice is appriciated immensely!

Girls I don't sleep either! I stay awake. If I fall asleep I wake up EVERY hour! I'm so thankful I only have part time job. I don't think id be able to function at work every day like this. I get up and go but Im glad I don't have to work like a zombie every day.. so any way I feel ur frustration except no hot flashes. I was staying up at night for fear of dying. I'm not sure if I told u all about it or not. But I still do at Times I did that as a child as well.hmm right now I'm ok.

So I jogged yesterday and did gym style leg man that one is to advanced for me. Even the ball work was hard. The part you hold ball btn the ankles or lower legs an squeeze and pick tushy up lol I have to say I was mad then started laughing because by the time I figured a modification it was almost over. I mean I couldnt lift butt up off floor til I put ball up further btn the thighs! That was better.. then rolling ball in with one foot oh boy I just used both feet then pit foot on ball wirh leg up and pulse...haha u guys would have been laughing with me. I was like oh gosh I lok like a fat catapiller trying to wiggle out of a cocoon.. fun an funny.

Needless to say I didn't burn a lot "271" because I spent a lot of time trying to set up the move and laughing. And a few choice words to cathe.!!! I was like really ! It looked easy til I tried to do it.

Push pull is more my go to weight work I think. Okay so I talked every ones eyes off. :)

Hey cathy I hope soon u get better I'm gonna pray for ur health.

Jane u also I will pray for health and strength to get through ur rotations. And ur sleep.

Hi Renee,
The 3 & 3 was for intensity workouts. You were mentioning doing 4 high intensity & 2 low intensity! I'm thinking because you run maybe you should do 1 high intensity workout a week & maybe 2 or 3 low intensity workouts a week!
You could do 2 upper & 1 lower a week but on the days you run maybe don't do a leg workout but a nice stretch/yoga instead!
On weight days you might try 10-20 min. of cardio before you start(unless you run) The cardio could be spin, step, or kickbox!
I really think you shouldn't do legs & run on the same day!
The June 2012 rotation looked really good & you could sub To The Max or CrossFire for a LIS workout & the July 2012 rotation has more of the higher intensity you are looking for & the Aug 2012 rotation also has higher intensity with the plyo leg workouts along with Circuit Blast & HiiT!
I'm sorry if I've mixed you up more but try to follow one of these rotations for a month & watch what you eat! Plus the weight will not come off easily if you don't sleep!

Awh thank you Cathy for your advice I think i will look at them and see which one ill try. I think it would help at least get accoustom to the workouts better. I always feel like im getting a headache just trying to pick a workout lol. I so so appriciate it!

Yesterday we both had doctors' appointments DH was sent to the hospital for X-rays, so we'll see!
I spent time in the garden in the early evening & did the stretches!

Good morning! Sorry I've been away - our computers have been driving us up the wall AGAIN! The repairs have to be coordinated between our IT guys & our accounting software guys, & getting both sets together seems to be impossible & it's getting beyond frustrating. This has been going on since MAY! :mad:
I have been working out, though - just haven't been able to get on the forums. I did Step Blast on Monday evening, YogaRelax on Tuesday evening, & I did Core Max Segment #3 & HiiT 30/30 yesterday evening. As I mentioned, I'm trying really hard to do the workouts in the August rotation, but I'm not doing it in strict order. I always stretch for at least 15 to 20 minutes after a workout, so doing longer ones during the week just doesn't work for me, or we'd be eating supper at 9:00 every night! My elbow is hurting, & I don't know why. I've even backed off the weights, thinking I needed a break, & just did Low Impact Circuit on Sunday (light weights), but it's still very sore & tender today. :confused::(
Cathy: Glad to hear that you're still going strong in the garden. You may not be doing Cathe workouts, but you're getting a great workout in every day with that gardening! Is your DH OK? Did he break something? I hope not!
Renee: Sounds like you're going great guns with your workouts, but I agree with Cathy about backing off the intensity. All that intensity is hard on the joints! I'm sorry you're not sleeping much, either! It's tough enough to get through a day without being sleep deprived to boot! I can just picture the move you're talking about - & isn't it funny how we talk back to Cathe??? I do it a lot! ;):p
I'm hoping today is a better computer day for me. Wish me luck!

Great on your workouts, but I wonder about your elbow! Do you have any numbness?
DH is suppose to have knee surgery but he has a cough that won't go away & is sounding worse, & the doctor heard "wheezing"(sp?) so he sent him for X-rays! So now we wait again!!!

Yeah I think id like to take intensity down some. I wish cathe had a fun step aerobics like low intensity from 4 DS that is longer for days I want to do a nice long low intemse sweety time. Don't know if I'm explaining it right.

I did ttm yesterday it was my high intensity days.

Cathy I'm not sure what one to pick yet because I don't have a lot of them it seems.I may just try to stick with one called intermediate sinse I may need to svale back some. What do u think. I really enjoy body blast series amd intensity series but I am missing pyramids
I been eyeing gym style back shoulder one
 
Oh my goodness Cathy I guess we were posting at same time. I didn't see that about husband wheezing. I sure hope it is nothing that alittle antibiotic can help. That has got to be scary.

For the August Rotation:Try substituting Muscle Max Premix: Upper Body for the Pyramid Upper for now
& Muscle Max Premix: Lower Body OR Slow & Heavy Lower Body for the Pyramid Lower for now

For STS Upper maybe the Slow & Heavy Upper Body Workouts & for Circuit Blast & HiiT maybe the Premixes of Cross Fire & To the Max!

Maybe Jane will have some suggestions!

Just ask us about substitutions in a rotation & we'll try to help!
