***ONE DAY AT A TIME*** July 9 thru Sept 9

Good afternoon ladies!
Cathy: Do you have any word yet on DH's X-rays? That cough has been going for awhile now. :confused: I do hope it's nothing serious! Will be praying for him (& you, too - always!). Yes, those housey things never quit, do they? That's a workout in & of itself, to me.
Renee: Did you feel OK when you did TTM this time? Good job on it! I agree with Cathy's substitutions. Do you have Step Moves or Rhythmic Step? Step Moves, especially, (in my mind) is more of an intermediate workout, but it's a lot of fun. It's only about 45 minutes long, though. I think you have Intensity, if I remember right? That has a low-impact HiiT workout in it that you could use for a substitution, too.
Sorry if this is disjointed - the computer is still giving me fits, & different people are working on it during the day trying to get it fixed (I say, after 3 months, just give me a new one!!!), so I have to hurry & squeeze in when I can.
I did Pyramid Upper Body yesterday evening. I went with fairly light weights because I don't have separate 15/20 lb. dumbbells. You have to switch plates on mine, & there's not enough time to do that in the workout, so I have to go lighter. I guess I'm going to have to invest in some 20 lb. weights if I do that one very often. I still got a good workout, because that's a lot of reps.
I honestly don't think that my elbow is ever going to get any better. It's 1 1/2 years since I hurt it, & I've been to physical therapy & the chiropractor, & I rested it for 9 months. I'd say I'm stuck with it! :(

Cathy: I sure hope all is going well please do tell us if you got any word from the doctor about your husband! I am praying for him as well as praying for you to have strength and peice till you can find out.
Jane : I felt really good doing the TTM I still have foot issues but nothing like before! I did not feel sick i think i pushed myself way to far last time is all on top of eating before hand. I waited an hour after but i guess i needed to wait longer. I wanted to try Step Moves but I was afraid it would be harder then athletic step from sts. I mean it isnt hard at all but it was hard on my foot! That was weird to because i think ttm has more impact the athletic step. But it would be perfect if it didnt have lots of jumping or twisting i think, I do have Rhythmic Step, I think i may add this in there to. I just am irritated with Step blast, because I could do the whole thing when i fist got it. It may have been the adrinline of a new workout lol ...Now i get to the challenge and the first blast that is it all i can do. The segment three i get irritated on because for some reason i cannot get the reutine yet. That may be why i cant get to the blast yet because i am irritated by then. I need to do this one every week til i learn it! Til i can do the whole thing. I dont know why it is bugging me! lol I may purchase step moves if you think it is more intermeditate that would be great, 45 minutes long, is fine for me, well does that include the cool down too? Id like a step about 50 minutes total. Like a warm up of 5 minutes and cool down stretch of 3 minutes lol the rest step. LOL I do have the Intensity, but never tried the low-impact HiiT part, how long is it? I was thinking like that and how Cathy said use the ttm HIIT as well as sub statute. But how long is the HIIT time wise is it in the rotation? I probly would have to rewind and do it again to make it like the hiit Cathe F is talking about, right?
I hope you get your computer fixed soon i KNOW that can be a mess!

Great job on Pyramid Upper Body. So this one was alot of reps? I think ill get gym styles then. I wish Cathe would make a staight up weight lifting one that do not have hover squats and alot of reps and stuff i want to use the weight heavey enough to do 10 reps do it 3 sets. With great music of course. I mean one that moves fast and get it out of the way lol I am not a weight lifting girl i guess i am trying.

I am so sorry to hear about your elbow but, i guess i think that very same thing about my foot, it is like you get to a point you have to figure.. HOW to live with it. That is my thought anyway i get so irritated withmy painful feet.!!

Well today i did the step balst today i was planning on Yoga tonight we will see i may wait til tomorrow. Well

Happy Weekend Ladies,
Yesterday we watered the garden & today we picked & froze veggies. Finished about an hour ago! Got to go & do my stretches yet! I promised the physio-therapist that as long as I was in the garden I would do no exercise dvds:( I sure do want to step!

Jane: Great on Pyramid Upper! I wonder if your elbow will like 20 pounders? The doctor when he listened to DH's lungs heard wheezing so now we wait!

Renee: Great on TTM! The Shock Cardio HiiT's are approximately 30 min. or just under if you want to make substitutions time wise! You can also sub Intensity too if you want! Try the Slow & Heavy for less reps & heavier weights!

Went to the chiropractor today & did odds'n ends as well!
I accidently found out I sleep better upright!:confused: It's a little hard on the neck though!
Today I did the physio exercises she gave me on the first visit. It has a couple of weight lifting exercises plus balancing & also did the stretches!

Good morning ladies. Well, I must still be having computer problems, because the reply I posted here yesterday is not on here!:( Bummer!
Cathy: I wonder if you sleep better upright because you have sleep apnea? Have you ever been checked for that? Or, is it because it's less painful that way? It sounds like you're able to do a few weight lifting things - that's good! You'll be stepping again in no time!
Renee: Wanted to let you know that Step Moves is much easier than Athletic Step - not all those jumps in it. I forget everything else I wrote yesterday. :eek: I have to take a break on Step Blast, too, so don't feel too bad - we'll build up the endurance we need!
Let's see, I did Low Max on Friday evening, Kick Max on Saturday, went for a boat ride on Sunday, & did Intensity PreMix of Step, Low Impact HiiT + Boot Camp yesterday evening. For the first time ever, the Step portion of Intensity did NOT kick my butt! Yay!!!! & I was able to do the 2nd blast on Low Max all the way through on one leg - I used to have to switch to the other leg about halfway through it because I just didn't have the strength to do it all one leg at a time! So, even though I'm not losing weight, I am definitely gaining in endurance & strength, & that's progress!
I have my gyno appointment today to talk about my hormones - I'm hoping she'll increase my dose since I'm still dealing with hot flashes & therefore not sleeping very well!

Janne that is fabulous you didn't have such hard Time with intensity! I know I only did that one omce and it was so hard I was afraid to try again. I wonder if I have been doing ttm and sb if those are gonna help me to at least bare intensity one more time? Oh does kickmax give a good workout? I still have yet to try because thinking it wont be intense enough. Or would it perfect for tthose days I may need an easier workout?

I did Pyramid Lower Body yesterday evening. This has to be my least favorite set of workouts. I just don't like that scramble to get the weight changed after every set! :rolleyes:
Renee: Yes, I definitely think that since you've been doing TTM & SB it will help you get through Intensity. Kick Max definitely gives you a great workout. Not only do you have 4 sets of kickboxing, then you have 10 blasts - & she just goes from one blast to the next! I had to sit out the last 2 blasts - I just couldn't do them! Then there's the leg conditioning drills after that. :eek:
I'm sorry that you had another headache, but I'm glad that Yoga Relax helped with it. I love that one!
Cathy: Hope the chiropractor helped you & that the physio is finally starting to help. I don't know that anything will help much until after the gardening, though, because that's TOUGH WORK!

Saw my Dr. yesterday afternoon. It's no wonder I've gained weight - I've been on Armour thyroid for 3 months, but my thyroid levels were bottomed out. She doubled my dose, & wants to see me back in a month. She wouldn't increase my hormones, though, without another hormone test. I had to do another saliva test (only one collection in the morning this time & it was a little cheaper!) & I'm sending that in today. It takes 3 weeks for those results to come in... So, at least another month or more of hot flashes! :mad:

Jane wow I bet it feels better though knowing itss thyroid! I also hete cclamering around trying to find tbe weights in a hurry to. That is y I didn't get that workout. I ordered the gym style legs. But that is to hard well the floor work. I spend more time trying tto do the ball work then actually doing it. Lol
I just ordered step moves and gym style bi and shoulder I think that's the one ooh strectch max to. I am loving the stretches. Today I'm gonna do crossfire. As soon as I clean max some more. Today id day off I really need to clean. Well at least no headache thus far.:) .

Cathy Jane is right lol gardening is hard work ! Hard on the back. Hey son I think u will feel better!
I am thinking of doiing cathes intermediate rotation a couple of wweeks but I'm gonna start that in sept. I may add in one ttm or cf here amd there. Oh of course my step movees to somewhere lol. Gawd my DH is gona. Kill me I keep buying knowing I don't need them.. or really can't afford them ..I have to stop now. Xtrain I preordered so that is done. But now I need to pay dowwn cc and stop using it. Or else ill be paying on iit for years to come! Wish me luck on cf.
Oh I got some coconut water to try.. yuk yuk yukadee yuk. I have to figure how to make it taste better. To expensive to toss!

Yesterday was picking, prepping, & freezing veggies! So not anything too exciting!
I bought the pillow that has a informercial on TV, that is sort of shaped like a horseshoe! I've tried it for 2 nights now & it might be helping! I'll have to wait & see!

Jane: Absolutely great you are improving & gaining endurance on Intensity & Low Max!! Also great on the other workouts! I know what you mean about the weight changes on Pyramid Lower. The boat ride sounds like a great way to enjoy a Sunday!

Renee: Maybe try a little raw honey, or stevia in your cocnut water to sweeten it slightly! Great on your workouts & I know how hard it is to exercise with migraines!

I'm going to ask the therapist if I can start pilates & step workouts! Maybe I can start a rotation beginning of Sept.

Oh cathy I hope he tells you you can start step workouts. Maybe you can get Into the intermediate roation with me but instead of weight days you can do bands or yoga or whatever.. it might be fun! Does ur back feel like it might be up to it? Crossing my finger!
Oh I just got back from. Walk running I walk half mile ran the rast only did total of 3.11 miles! So slow more then I was. Nut I tried not focusing on that. I wanted? To enjoy the day ..it was only 83 degrees at the time. I also know I havnt been running so I guess I have to think its like stating over again. I need to accept mmy speed and enjoy the movement. I think doing to much to fast messed woith me that is how I got injured. But I praise the Lord I got to jog some tpday. I pray my foot is good tomorrow. If not its weight day amy way so it will be day off for my feet. Lol.

I pushed out Slide & Glide yesterday evening, even though I didn't feel like doing anything. I am super tired. I'll be glad when my new thyroid dose kicks in & I start to feel a bit better! :D
Renee: Great job on your run! Hope your feet are doing OK today! Sorry to hear that about the coconut water. I haven't tried it yet, & now I'm not sure I want to! I really thought it would taste like coconut, & I'm not really a fan of coconut. I have coconut butter, but use it as a face cream at night. Love the smell of it, but haven't found anything yet that I like it cooked with. I don't eat oatmeal - can't stand it, & I don't like eggs fixed in it, or on sweet potates!
Cathy: Dare I say that "things" might be a bit better for you, I hope? Any test results back yet on your DH's cough?
New computer guy is here, so I have to log off for awhile!

I couldn't sleep last night! Had to go to physio this morning! I can go ahead & start dvds again taking it slowly! I can start with pilates, step, light weights, & yoga! NO barre workouts:(

Renee which rotation did you want to start for Sept.?

Jane maybe you should wait a couple of days on workouts until your medication has kicked in?

Oh Jane you put coconut on ur face? What does it do for the face? What other secrets you have.. oh Cathy what about you? Id love to know what you guys do to try an keep wrinkles away.
I got gym styles back shoulders and biceps in the Mail today! I did the timesaver 36 min msn I loved it. Very straight forward not toooo many reps! That one ill do! I alao got stretchmax in! I did the band stretch and the one with no equipment and I like the no equipment better. It relaxed me so good! My foot was sore today so I was glad to do weights.. oh you guys at least I'm getting really flexable! I could put my nose to knees on one leg stretch and I can touch nose to floor with legs spread in front. And yje one crosslegged bending forward today my head touched floor! So I'm seeing improvement with yoga and stretching .. finally some progress somewhere!

TGIF! So thankful this work day is almost over. It started out rainy here today, but now the sun is shining & it's warm again. Wish I could be outside!
Cathy: Enjoy that outdoors! I think of you often as I'm stuck here at my desk, wishing I could be outside. I know you're working hard in the garden, but there's just something soothing about being outside in nature! That's exciting news that you can start back with some DVD's! YAY! :D:eek: I'm sorry that you're still not sleeping, though. That's the worst!
Renee: I don't think the coconut oil does anything for my wrinkles, but I've been reading lately about all the chemicals that are in over-the-counter moisturizers, so I decided to stick with coconut oil in the evening. I've always had very dry skin - no pimples in high school - but the down side was that I wrinkled very early. :( That's one good thing about having a DH that's 12 years older than I am - I don't worry about the wrinkles! HA! :p Even though I stretch every day, I'm not getting the flexibility like you - that's great!!! Probably because of the fibromyalgia... But, if I don't do my stretches every day, I can tell the next time I stretch that I've lost ground!
Yesterday evening, I did LIS Upper Body TriSets & Core Max #2. I felt really crappy before I worked out, but I felt much better after the workout. I almost felt like I was coming down with the flu, but I feel fine today! My co-worker has a bad cold that has gone into her chest, & I'm hoping that I don't get it.:rolleyes::confused:

Jane you know that is like me... I did a yoga to losen up back and arms today. Wow so relaxed I didn't want to exercise! I didn't feel like crap however but I did not want to move. But I had to get cf in I havnt done that in a couple of weeks. I hope u do not get sick. That's one reason it would b fab if we could stay home and work!
Well like I said did crossfire today once I did it I didn't regret it. I tell myself this when I'm at a point I just don't feel like doing exercise. I think ..noone ever regrets the workout they did but they do regret the ones they didn't do. My moto lately, can't remember who said it but I heard it recently and it has stuck!
Cathy I don't know the year or month all I saw when I looked it up was "cathe original intermediate rotation. " it starts off with low impact circuit and second day is KPC and third day was pyramid something so I'll use gym styles on that day. I hope u can find it.
 
Early evening I did a Pilates Lower Body workout! It felt okay for now!
It looks like I'll have to freeze veggies tomorrow!

Jane: Great on the workout but I sure do hope you don't come down with anything! I guess it's way to early to tell if the increase in your meds are working yet?

Renee: Great on Cross Fire! I'm happy your foot is slowly getting better! I think the rotation is March 2007 & I'll join you on it! Just let me know when you're starting!
