I would love to do something like that, I've been kind of considering it for the future. Did you order one of the deluxe packages of study materials or just the basics? I have alot to learn, I'd probably need them all. :+

Congratulations Amy!

I just took a look at your Maui photos. My DH and I were at the Marriott 10 years ago ( before it became a vacation club property ) right next to the Westin. I took some aerobic classes on the grassy area in between the hotels. One morning we were huffing and puffing away when we all looked out at the ocean and there were 2 whales breaching! Your tropical workout area reminded me of that great moment! I have yet to have a workout DVD top that!

Kathleen- I ordered the basics. The least expensive option, but I was so glad it came with a practice written portion. I looked at it the day before the exam, and I feel so lucky that I did!!! It's a different way of doing things on that portion. The rest of it is a multiple choice. I feel so lucky I passed!
 
Congrats! Just strive to keep up with the latest research AND try stuff yourself! You are your own best guinea pig to test all these methods you read about everywhere. Subscribe to lots of magazines, and be open minded to what you don't think will work! I train totally differently from what I was doing in 2002 when I first got certified.

I think it would be cool to be a personal trainer and then take all those fitness magazines and books and equipment as a tax write-off!
