Older workouts?

I was wondering how Cathe's older workouts compare to her newer ones. I have a hard time with the outdated hair do's and outfits (no affense), but I know Cathe always does an awesome job. What do you think of CTX, MIC, and her step workouts? I have a bunch or her newer DVD's but like everyone else, I want more!!!
 
I like the Rhythmic Step DVD that also has MIC and Interval Max. Rhythmic Step is my favorite step workout, also Cathe's most complex. MIC is my most dreaded cardio workout (the hi-lo part). It leaves me breathless. Interval Max is a really tough interval workout with more athletic choreography. Interval Max is about the same intensity as IMAX 3, maybe a little less since I can do most of Interval Max on an 8" step but I only do IMAX 3 on a 6" step. I also like her Cardio Hits DVD with Step Fit, Step Works and Power Max. Step Works is my favorite on that one. Step Fit has a macarena cooldown on it. Power Max has more athletic choreography. The only tape of CTX I've done is All Step which I liked very much. I liked it because she went through the routines quickly without a lot of breakdown. This also has a shoulders and abs workout on it. You get a lot done in under an hour which is what the CTX series was supposed to accomplish.

Marcy, Thanks so much for your input. I don't have any of those older ones. I have Imax 3 (which I love) so if Interval Max is similiar, looks like I will be buying those!!! I have been wanting a step workout (something a little different then circuit workouts).

Jordon, I have been looking at the clips for CTX and it looks good. Especially the kickbox workout (love kickbox!!!). I love the idea of shorter workouts.

I really enjoy CTX, especially Leaner Legs. They are excellent workouts when you only have an hour to workout.

MIC is a personal favorite as it was my very first Cathe workout. It still kicks my butt.

I giggle at the outfits on StepMax, Step Jam and Step Heat but they do give great step workouts. The steps are a bit more repetitive than her newer workouts. PowerMax is a really fantastic workout.
The other really great workout is the original BodyMax.
 
oh gosh! CTX was the first cathe workouts i bought on the advice of this forum! i loved it! you've all reminded me i need to get it out and do it again!

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!
 
If you like step, Cardio Hits is a must-have. You'll stop grinning at the early-90s outfits once she gets you moving...

I love how you say "You'll stop grinning at the early 90s outfits once she gets you moving". I bet you are so right on!!! I ended up buying the 27 DVD discount bundle with all her oldies. I have a feeling she is going to kick my butt!!!;( I'm a little scared to try them but I can't wait to get them in the mail. You're all right, the workouts, I'm sure, are going to be great. My husband might tease me a little but once I get him out on the floor, he won't be laughing anymore!!!}(
