RE: no one ever talks about shin pain, ankles and backs yes, but the shin is avoided. if we could start a shinbone pain group, and share stories and share help, i think we would all benefit. Cathe has
Sorry, I'm not really sure what your poll is asking. Can you clarify? Thanks, Deb

Ditto. It's also hard to tell what you're asking since your subject line is too line, thus, cut off.
If you look on the open discussion threads, a lot of people ask questions about injuries they have and get a lot of good information back in responses.

This also doesn't seem to be a question for Cathe, so doesn't belong in the "Ask Cathe" forum.
I suggest rethinking your question (I don't understand what you are looking for either, and what does 'start a new epidemic' mean? I'm not sure a poll is the best format for sharing stories and discussion) and reposting in the "Open Discussion" forum.

Wow, tough crowd. He is asking if anyone has ever suffered from any of these conditions.

Still not the right place to post it.
And what condition is 'bones'? And 'bones neglected"? And 'help with shin pain' vs. 'shins"? Just doesn't make sense (to anyone but the OP).

I didn't say it was the correct place to post it. I was simply commenting. I have to say, the tones of your emails come across as quite nasty.

I am not understanding it either? Are you stating that there is alot of folks who because of intense workouts, experience the following conditions? And which conditions do each of us have, or had in the past?
Is it referring to shin pain exclusively? Its just the way that the post is worded, confusing.

I don't think anyone was trying to be nasty. They were explaining what they didn't understand. I've read it several times and have to admit I'm not sure what the OP is saying either. Perhaps it is a language barrier?

JTreddin....I don't think anyone is being nasty in any way. A lot of us have been on this forum for years, and I think we are just confused at this post. Hopefully the poster will explain a bit more...

Epidemic? I'm confused. Please explain what it is you're asking. Maybe i'm the slow one here.

I voted for "bones neglected" because I think it's a great phrase. I think I probably do neglect my bones. Well, I try to get my calcium in, and I do my workouts, but other than that, I just assume they're OK.

Isn't this the open discussion forum? Anyhow, I am guessing you mean who has what pain and how do you handle it. If that is the case, I have been having a lot of shoulder problems since early spring and have basically been stopping any workout until it clears up. Also, I should be doing specific moves to strengthen the bad parts on a regular basis. Melissa

The thread was moved here by the moderator from the "Ask Cathe" forum, so some of the earlier posts don't seem to make sense.

I think that the person who originally posted this is new to the forum and needed a little guidance. I happen to have understood what he meant by his post and thought I would share it with those who did not. That's all. I apologize for using the word "nasty" to describe the responses, but the tones of responses are always hard to interpret through a computer.
Okay...everyone back to their corners! Happy exercising!
