NEW RUNNERS JULY 2010!

Hi ladies,
This morning I got up and did Namaste yoga on FitTV and then Pip and I joggled CC V1. It was really hot and humid out there and I was kind of dragging but we did it. Now off to the beach :D. I ride doubles tomorrow and am thinking that I probably need to take a rest day on Thursday based on how I ran today. (I know I haven't run in a while but it wasn't that feeling, it was a fatigued feeling in my butt and thighs from the riding.)

Tricia - At least you have a Plan A, Plan B and Plan C. It's having more than one plan and being able to transition gracefully between them that's important.

Cindi - Glad you were able to joggle and that the shoes are still feeling good. That's great.

Jane - I may need to copy down that "quickie" workout. I'm thinking I could substitute dumbbell presses for the barbell presses. You mean chest presses not overhead presses right?

Alisha - Enjoy your workout!

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

I did overhead presses but you can do chest presses. I just like working my shoulders! :)

I don't know what I'm doing tonight. If it's not raining, I'd like to get a run in. The weather is so unpredictable this time of year with thunderstorms popping up at any given time. So if it's raining, I'm leaning towards Cathe's Boot Camp. I haven't done that one in a long time!

Cindi ~ I'm glad the twitch went away. I get them under my eye sometimes. I've heard it's due to her eye strain or stress. Once I had the twitching for weeks. It eventually just stopped.

Alisha ~ Have fun with your workout today.

Hi Tricia!!

This is what I ended up doing tonight. The weather was questionable.

Circuit Workout of 40 seconds work/15 seconds rest ~ 2 Rounds

Bosu Alternating Side Lunges
Bicep Curls
Kettlebell Squat Thrust Deadlifts
Jumping Pull ups
Swings
Barbell Squats
Speed Skaters
Side Lateral Shoulder Raises
Ice Breakers
Lying Down Tricep Extensions

Then 5 minutes of leg work with bands
Then 5 minutes of ab work
Then 5-1 minute rounds of jump rope
Then 600m run around the block (since it stopped thundering).

Jane - I'll have to remember that one! It's good! We're having the same problem with thunderstorms. We were supposed to have some heavy rain tonight, but we had a very short decent rain and no thunder and lightening. It's been over for a while. Dang, girl! You know how to push it! I'm hoping to get up there with you soon!

Cindi - I'm glad the twitch is gone and your workout was great!

Alisha - Hope you're having fun with 4DS! It's all good! I'm trying to focus on one goal at a time.

Lisa - You have a busy schedule these next few days! A rest day sounds like the right choice! Yes, there's probably a Plan D in there somewhere too! Like, if all else fails, DH will go back into military service.

Well, we're offline for a day or so! Hope we survive it (meaning = I hope I survive it! LOL!) It's Push Pull for me tomorrow. I changed the rotation up for the day. Wanted more weight work.

Hi ladies! We are back. :)

Spin class last night. Love spin class. I'm down 7 pounds in just under two weeks now with TF rotation and calorie counting (WOOHOO!).

Hiit 15 and Sculpt 30 today. I would like to do a little joggle too but may run out of time.

Tricia - I saw and replied to the thread on the Open Discussion thread about Turbo Fire. I think some of the women are being a little prudish about the outfits and music - either that or I have no standards. LOL! I'm nothing but impressed with the women in the workouts and if I had bodies like them - I'd wear the tiny shorts too. Some of them have stretch marks showing from childbirth and I really respect that.

Anyway - that's my 2 cents. I also hope to some day run a nude 5K so maybe I'm a freak. :)

Cindi - You are cracking me up! A nude 5K? I don't think I could ever get my body image that confident to do one of those, so more power to you! I'd come cheer you on, though!

I don't have a problem either with skimpy workout clothes as long as they stay on! LOL! I'm with you on that! If I had nice boobs and a six-pack middle, I'd be wearing skimpy, too! Gotta show what we work so hard for, don't we? Besides, when I work out, I'm watching the steps, not ogling the participants!

I did my Push Pull this morning and loved it! Needed to use more weight on the one arm rows, but other than that, I was right on the money! Tomorrow is IMAX 2. Haven't decided if I want to do the whole thing or do half and tack on a tabata workout at the end. All depends on how much sleep I get tonight and how energetic I feel in the morning!

Congrats on losing 7 lbs! That's just awesome!

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to run tonight but guess what we had thunder again today. So this is what I did. It sprinkled and thundered the whole time I was working out. I did see a rainbow though!

2 Rounds of:
30 swings
30 push ups
30 kettlebell clean and press
30 jump squats
30 spidermans
20 swings
20 push ups
20 kettlebell clean and press
20 jump squats
20 spidermans
10 swings
10 push ups
10 kettlebell clean and press
10 jump squats
10 spidermans

Cindi ~ There is a nude 5K in Georgia somewhere. I wouldn't mind doing it but I'm not sure I would want to see EVERYONE naked. You know...there is good naked and bad naked. LOL!! :):)

I don't care what anyone is wearing as long as it's a good workout.

Congrats on your 7lb weight loss!!

Waving hi to everyone else!!

Jane - Awesome workout! Nothing better than that AND a rainbow, unless it's a "Double Rainbow All The Way!" Bwaaa, haaaa, haaa!

Any of you see the YouTube video of this? If not, you should check it out. It's hilarious! That and the follow-up music video for it!

Thanks guys. :)

Great workout Jane! and a rainbow to boot. Tricia - I had to search for that - too funny! What did we do before youtube?

Hi Lisa and Alisha.

Last night was Hiit 15 and sculpt 30 and a 1.3 mile joggle. Felt like I was running through a swamp it was so humid - and this was at 9 pm. Another steamy day today and through the weekend I think.

Hi Cindi!

Glad you're loving you some TF! 1.3 miles in the humid muck must have felt like 13 miles! I have no idea where I'd be without my YouTube! I also like that I can find exercise examples and workouts on there! What would we do without YT indeed!

Yep. We're going to be back in the 90s again this weekend. We've had rain for 2 days here. We were supposed to get sun today, but the clouds never cleared up. IMAX2 was awesome this morning! Felt so easy even though I was huffing and puffing and sweating like mad! Tomorrow is Leaner Legs.

Hello to Alisha, Lisa and Jane! Hope you've had a fun and productive day!

Good Morning,

No running again last night. It was dark and windy when I got home. I was going to do Slow and Heavy and had everything ready when the power went out.:mad: I decided to go visit mom since I hadn't seen her all week so that worked out good. :D:D:D You would think with all the dark clouds, thunder and wind this week that I would have at least gotten some rain but nope..just a couple of drops and that's all.

So tonight I'm not even going to attempt to run. I'm going to do Slow and Heavy bi's and tri's. Next week is going to be a little less stormy.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!! :):)

Change of plans, I did a rest day on Wednesday due to extra stuff on my schedule. Thursday was 4DS Lower Body Premix. Tomorrow is the BC/KB 4DS Cardio Premix. My eats have been all over the map some good some less good. This morning I had a dream that I overate my carbs yesterday and woke up in a panic, but guess what? I hadn't:p

You know that song that Rascal Flatts covers "Life is a Highway."

I always think that the lyric should be

"If you're going my way, I wanna 'run' it, all night long"

Jane- I'm sorry you didn't get your workout in. Reading about your weather makes me so grateful for mine!

Lisa- Hi!

Tricia- I'm not interested in the nude running, I need the pressure garments to keep my skin with me:p

Cindi- You have some serious guts, I wouldn't be running in that unless a gator was chasing me!

Good morning ladies - Doing some cardio this morning hopefully. Was going to spin class, but missed it due to a call I needed to take for work.

Another hot day. I am going to try to do a little joggle this weekend - maybe Sunday morning before it gets too hot.

Jane - Glad you got in a nice visit with your mom - sorry about the power though. Did it come back?

Alisha - That's a funny dream!

Hi Tricia and Lisa.

Have a geat weekend everyone! I'm spin class tomorrow and then HIIT25 on Sunday.

Honor comes back from Ohio today and then we are all home for a week and a half before David and Honor go to Band/Orchestra camp for 12 days.

Hi Ladies!

Jane - What a bummer! That was me last summer when I was doing my C25K! It would rain every day, but not until I got off work! It was so frustrating! At least you have a back up plan, and a good one at that!

Alisha - I'm laughing! Pressure Garments! Too funny! Glad that was only a dream! Yikes! I don't ever want to go down the carb-fest path again! Your workouts look great, so maybe that'll offset the not so good eats!

Cindi - What did you end up with for cardio this morning? Yes, get that joggle in early! It's going to be a scorcher tomorrow here as well!

Did I miss a post from Lisa? Hello Lisa! I'll check back a page just in case!

I did a disappointing Leaner Legs this morning. Pups were up at 2:30 and I couldn't get them to settle back down, so i had to get up and take them out. Didn't get much more sleep after that. My energy level was icky. I hope to get a nice joggle in tomorrow morning, too! If I can get up early enough without the alarm to do it before it gets too hot!

Have a wonderful weekend! You know I'll be around!

Hi ladies!
I'm back. I've been very busy and for some reason the site wouldn't let me log back in after the transition the other day. I'm not sure why. It just gave me the green light after 3 tries with the same username/password this morning. What the heck? Oh well.

I have been busy but can't remember the last time I worked out! I rode a double on Wednesday and had Thursday off. I was going to take Thursday as a rest day but went fishing offshore so it was a rest day from work/working out but I didn't finish it feeling rested if you know what I mean. I rode a double on Friday and I'm riding a double today. I hope to get back on the working out bandwagon tomorrow I guess. Probably with Push-Pull.

Tricia - Hope the pups were okay and didn't have upset tummies. The lack of sleep really knocks the stuffing out of me too.

Jane - I hate that. In rainy summers it seems to rain every afternoon at 2 pm up in the mountains. That puts a real damper on outside exercise plans.

Cindi - Wow! Your kids have quite the schedule! It must be a workout just keeping up with them.

Alisha - That's so funny about your carb dream! I love Rascal Flatts.

Lisa

Hey Lisa!

Yes, I forgot you were having trouble logging in! I'm so memory-challenged!

Well, you seem to be getting quite the workout riding! I'm sure you're having a blast with that!

My pups don't get "extra" food, so their tummies are fine. They just catch a smell or decide they have to go pee! Yesterday morning they were out and back in so fast, I thought they just did it out of spite! LOL!

Enjoy your rides today! I hope you don't get rained on this time!

I did that 4DS workout this morning. Phew! What a great way to get a sweat in. I burned just over 500 calories and finally, today, I behaved myself in the kitchen. Getting on the scale the other day was a serious wake up call. I don't hate the scale, I just know and can tell when it won't say what I want it to say.

Tomorrow is Rhythmic Step. I haven't done that one in a while. It was my first Cathe DVD. All I can say is, I wasn't prepared at the time but I am now.

Hi everybody, see you tomorrow!

Glad you had a good workout today Alisha! RS is one of my favorites too! We went rock wall climbing today. My forearms are really feeling it now. Tomorrow we're going for a run in the morning assuming I can get up early enough to beat the heat!

Hi, I got up early this morning and did RS. I burned a little over 600 calories. Then I promptly had steak and watermelon for breakfast, yum!

Tricia- I don't think I could manage the rock climbing, my hands get cold above my head and I don't even like to climb a ladder let alone rocks, so I guess this means you rock;)

Lisa- Riding horses and fishing always qualifies as a workout. Well, its definitely work and you are out, outside at least.

Cindi- Hi!

Jane- Hi!
