My workout room is getting ridiculously crowded

I started with a small step, a treadmill and a few VHS's.

It has grown to include a Cathe step, Power Tower, Body bars, customized dumbbell holder (like Cathe has in the DVDs), tons of dumbbells, curved barbell, straight barbell, tons of plates, weighted gloves, WAG gloves, bands, firewalkers, tubing, gliders, dixie cups, HR monitor, high step, bench, chair, shoes for different workouts, spin bike, kettle ball, every Cathe DVD, Horizontal Conditioning DVDs, 3 fans and I am sure more that I don't remember.

My workout room, even though it was always used, used to be the neatest room in my house. Now it is the messiest. In fact, I used to use it as a guest room when needed, but am unable to anymore.

And I love it!

This post made me smile! I just got back from the store where I purchased 20lb dumbbells. I told myself I wasn't going to buy anymore because I have the DB handles that you add the plates to to make it any weight you want. I broke down and bought the 20s because I was tired of pausing the DVD to change weights. (At least that's the excuse I gave myself for buying them!)

I need to invest in the dumbbell tower like yours and Cathe's. That'll be my next purchase. :: eek I haven't used the 20s yet and am already thinking about buying more stuff. Help. I can't stop myself. LOL

Ditto on all the equipment except for the spin bike and treadmill. I haven't tried Horizontal Conditioning, but I'm getting curious because I keep reading about it on the forums. I completed my Cathe library this year. I've been eyeing a BOSU ball, but I've held off getting one because I use my balance disks instead.

My apartment is being overrun with workout equipment. I love it too! :)

Same here

I own my own condo, so all the stuff is in the living room. I bought a nice flat screen TV for the workouts, and it works very well. I guess I should organize things better, but I have a bad back.

I have things strategically "hidden" around my workout area (AKA The Un-living Room), the coat closet in the foyer, and the den/office. I told my husband I want to get rid of all the living room furniture and just use my Step and balance ball if anyone wants to sit down :p! My apartment is starting to bulge at the sides....lack of space is one of the things holding up my spin bike purchase...(but that WOULD be another place for someone to sit, wouldn't it??!!)!

I just bought a bigger house, solved the problem,LOL. Now I have room to buy more!

That made me laugh. :)
And yes, the original post made me smile too. And a bit jealous cause you have more equipment than I do. hehe.

I'm in Caitlin's situation...a condo, workout room is the livin groom. I have MMA mats in my living room full time!

LOL I was just thinking the same thing the other day :). I've been wondering how the hell I'm going to fit a squat rack...and a heavy bag...and a spin bike, in a small room that is pretty much at capacity right now. You know it's time to move when...;)

Gobias:

Problem solved, I will take the following off your hands:

--treadmill,
--Power Tower,
-- Body bars,
--your heaviest dumbbells,
--curved barbell,
--straight barbell,
--tons of plates,
--HR monitor,
--Horizontal Conditioning DVDs,
--3 fans

Then you will have plenty of space!!!!

Lol so funny!! I love all the above post!!! Especially laughing at places to sit in the unliving room! It describes me to a t!! We have an un family room! I have a couch in there and I need to move it yet have no clue ware now! It's to nice a couch to give away!!
I have more equipment now in the last year an a half after finding Cathe then I have my whole 42 years !! I live it too! I am wanting a heavy bag so I may buy one to hang from a ceiling then I want the squat rack to do squats and chest press! Thanks Cathe I may be going broke and running out of room but I am getting stronger and healthier then last year so it's worth it!

We no longer have a coffee table in the family room. I got tired of moving it out of the way. And my couch stays on moving men sliders so that I can move it easily at all times :D
