Some of you may remember me posting about getting a golden retriever puppy back in April so I wanted to post here about her passing. She died this morning. She had been outside playing with Breeze early this morning and everything was fine. I went out a little later to fix their food bowels and when I opened the door she was laying where she always lays but she didn't get up. I tried to wake her, but she wouldn't move. She was still warm so I ran inside, got my husband out of bed, called our vet and we rushed her to the vet. They tried to revive her, but she didn't make it. They performed a basic autopsy, to see if they could tell what happened, but they found no reason. The vet said it was probably kind of like when a seemingly healthy teenager dies at sports practice.
She was just 5 months old(but big, over 50lbs). She was only in our lifes for a short time, but she surely filled our hearts. I know the pain will subside with time. I just can't believe we are going through this again. Taking her to the pet cemetary this afternoon brought back all the memories of Picante's passing in December. Thanks for letting me share.

Here's one of the last pictures I took of her.
