My son & STS

MAYNARDSMOM

My youngest son who is 17 yrs old & has always been athletic has started STS. Many years ago I had P90X & gave it away, I just didn't care for it. My sons have hounded me about giving it away. I keep telling them STS is sssoooo much better! Well now that he is done with sports for the season he wants to stay in shape & build some muscle. He completed disc #1 Sunday. I promised not to raz him if his weights were lower if he would follow form pointers from me. Let's just say his push ups were not going through the full range of motion & I noticed he dropped to his knees at the end (not that there's any shame in that!) The next day he had some good DOMS going on.

By the time he is done (probably already now) he will realize these are tough workouts!! :D

Maynardsmom, that's awesome! I can't wait for my son's form to improve so he can do a round of STS. He's only 15 and is doing the upper/lower premix from Boot Camp every other day. I hope your son continues to enjoy it! : )

Hi Tami,

It's so great that your son is doing STS! Please come back and tell us how he is progressing.

I'm trying to get my DH to participate in STS with me, but it's a no-go. He thinks STS is just for women . It's funny how P90X is regarded as a program for men just because there is a male instructor. Anyway, I told him I bet he couldn't even do half of the push-ups Cathe does. Pull-ups/chin-ups, NO WAY IN HELL! He can see by my results the program is effective. Ignorance is bliss I suppose .

Take care,

Natasha

Well as far as progress, there is none. he has not done another workout yet. I did notice some of his form off & he didn't take well to me trying to help him. So maybe better off.
