My January Rotations

Hi all,

Karen, I have Timesaver and I really like it. The CXT series is a similar idea and I love that one too. I have real trouble finding more than 45-50 minutes in a day to work out so it really fits my life. That one workout that's 38 minutes - sometimes I can fit that one in after I start dinner when I get home from work and be done when dinner is ready.

I did my own mix to sub for Body Max and I think it worked out well. I wasn't able to get the abs in with the rest of the workout as I ran out of time but I never feel bad about coming back to do abs later. I probably do a better ab workout that way as I'm not to tired.

I am going to try to workout before work tomorrow which is not my favorite time and probably will have to cut it short.

Hope to check in tomorrow. Everybody have a great day!

P.S. If the Fitprime chat still a pay site or did they go back to free? I stopped going over there when they asked for money.

Natalie

Hi Rhea, Natalie & Jeanie,

Okay, so first let me say I Finished The Revisions! Yea!:7 What a great feeling. Now to see if I have jury duty tomorrow...

I didn't know that FitPrime was ever something you had to pay for. I just logged on and started to chat. I know the FIRM is something that you have to pay for. I used it for a month, and then quit, as there are too many free chats. The FIRM keeps trying to charge me on my card, though I have cancelled, and then cancelled and then cancelled again...

Anyway, I love the FitPrime lo carb group, as I'm very interested in diets and exercise. I read as much as possible about both.

Rhea, I sure hope you get over that nasal infection. I was wondering what Jeanie was talking about when she kept saying something about you not feeling well. And now I understand why skiing was a big deal... Sometimes I'm slow.:+

Natalie, like you, I have a hard time fitting in anything over an hour and if it's a little shorter, it's better for me. Getting that hour in is tough enough. It's actually why I haven't preodered the Hardcore series yet. I think some of them are over and hour, and no matter how much I'll love them, I probably won't reach for them due to time constraints. But the jury is still out on that. I keep reading about them and wanting them.

Rhea, I can understand wanting to take things easy after being sick. While I haven't really been sick, I did get this sting and haven't been feeling quite up to par, and the intense workouts have been tough. Harder than usual. I probably should have built up to them more gradually.

So, as many tapes as I have, I think I'll reward myself with a few more Cathe's -- now that the deadline is done. I really am interested in the Time Saver ones, as well as completing the Intensity series. Every tape in that I love, so I may as well complete it.:7

Anyway, exercise wise, I actually did Circuit Max today and it was really challenging -- more so than the first time I did it. Tomorrow I plan IMAX2 or IMAX original. Then ME after that.

Have a wonderful evening.:7

Hello!

Hey KK, How do you like the Max/Cardio Kicks DVD? After reading your post, I went and looked at the clips. I really must stop doing that, I don't "need" anymore and I have the Hardcore series coming. But I am always looking for cardio that is not all step.

Have a great day, hope you don't get stuck on jury duty.

Hi Rhea!

Actually I have the Circuit Max Video, not the DVD -- so I don't have cardio kicks. I LOVE Circuit Max -- like ME and IMAX2 -- I'm constantly reaching for it. The cardio segments are longer than the muscle work, and you really build up a sweat, heart pumping. And it's just plain fun.

I originally bought only the videos, as that was what I was used to. But last night I bought the Pyramid DVD -- which has both videos on it, but a full body workout of both DVD's combined -- giving 3 workouts. Plus, I bought the Time Saver DVD, as I often don't have time to fit in a full hour workout. The Time Saver DVD has 5 workouts. Wow!

So I'm all excited that I have something new coming. I'm holding off on the Hardcore series only because many of them are 70 minutes long, and although I have some 70 minute videos that I love, I never reach for them because of that extra 10 minutes. Sounds silly, but true. So even though it will cost me more, I'm holding off. But I may not last long. Everytime I read about them, I want them.:p

So I'm off to get some paper, print out this revised manuscript and get it sent off to my editor. Yea! What a great feeling.

Have a terrific day.:7

Did IMAX 2 today. Love that tape.

It went well, my heart rate was a bit high -- think I'm still recovering a bit from the sting. But overall was a good workout. Tomorrow I plan ME -- one of my favs.

So it's ME for me today. Am trying to increase my weights on the deadlifts and a few others -- bent over rows, I believe.

Still have to keep the same weight for squats, etc. Those are just plain old tough. Will try to increase weight on biceps, too. I can't go as high as Cathe in weights, but then I'm in my fifties and so I'm not trying to compete with her. I just want to keep my body in tone.

This site is becoming a sort of diary for me, as well. Just got the manuscript all typed up and corrected in places and am ready to send it off. Will do that this morning. Yea!

Onto other things now. Another new book, another deadline pending in June. Pant...pant...:p :-(

Well, off to get the manuscript in the mails.

Hi everyone!

I didn't get to workout last night but I did go to a fun party with my husband after work. Did Supersets tonight which I really like and plan to do Cardio Kicks tomorrow.

Despite my difficulty in finding time for the longer workouts, I just couldn't resist preordering the new series. I will probably use the premixes as much as the complete workouts.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Natalie

Hi Natalie,

A night on the town with the hubby really beats exercise. What fun.

That's so exciting that you've ordered the new series. I know I'll end up ordering it -- it would probably be better if I just got it over with and saved the $40.00. But if I know me, I'll probably just go one at a time.

Anyway, it'll be great expecting these in the mail.

Oh, let's see. Did ME today. It is one hard workout and one of my favorites. I must admit that the entire Intensity series is just about the best set of workouts I've ever done.:) It'll be fun to get the Pyramids and incorporate them into my workouts.

Have a terrific weekend.:7

Back to my diary:

Weekend was good. Did Tae Bo on Saturday, but threw out my hip -- relaxing with a rolled up towel under the hips helped, though and so it's no longer a bother.

On the work front, am working on the synopsis for the next book -- and get a PR picture taken for the new book series...sigh... Which means I need to dye my hair today, never something I look forward to.

Oh, well, this weeks' rotation:

Monday: Bootcamp -- just finished this workout and moved up a bit in weight. Normally I use 3 or 4 lb weight on biceps and overheads because I have in the past injured myself whenever I would try to go heavier. But with Cathe I don't seem to injure myself and so I went heavier -- not much -- but I did 5 lb on both biceps and overheads and 16 bls on deadrows. What a workout...

Tues: IMAX

Wed: Either Power Hour or ME or one of the Pyramids if they come in by then

Thurs: Stretch plus a short cardio

Friday: IMAX 2 or sprints outside -- depending on the weather

Saturday: Either ME or Power Hour or one of the Pyramids if I have them by then

Sun: Rest

Another deadline, this one on a course -- must finish it and another course by the end of February -- plus work on the next book. Wish I could organize my life as well as I seem to organize my workouts.:+

Well, it's hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work I go. Whistle.... Hi-ho, hi-ho (was watching Snow White this weekend).;)

Hi Karen!

Hey I just finished a workout that you would love....(uh, oh, I'm tempting you with new ones!) One of the workouts on the Terminator is a sections from Cardio and Weights, IMAX2 and ME. It is a little long, but so much fun. Of course, I may have a different opinion tomorrow when I can't get up from bed!

Hope you are not working too hard. Rats, now I have that tune in my head...Well at least it is better than "buttercup" that I've been humming since workout. :+

HI Rhea,

You made me laugh -- thank you. I get these tunes in my head, too. What tune were you humming, by the way? Got a Rogers and Hammerstein DVD of the original Cinderella they did on TV in 1957 -- it's enchanting -- and I find myself humming those tunes, even in my sleep.

:+

Anyway, I love the Intensity series and ever since I've had it, it's hard to make myself do other workouts, although I do -- one can't always work out at maximum intensity -- but I absolutely love the series, and so, yes, I have had my eye on the Terminator. Just ordered the Pyramids to complete the series.

So, you're right, I now want it even more.;-)

Okay -- so this is rotation stuff. Did Bootcamp yesterday and am so sore today, that I'm going to change my rotation.

So here it is:

Tuesday: Cardio section only from Body Max then stretching with Janis Saffell (also ordered a new stretching from Karen Voight)

Wednesday: ME

Thursday: IMAX

Friday: Cardio & Weights or Circuit max

Saturday: Pyramid Lower Body w/ first 5 intervals of IMAX2

Sunday: Off

Hi Karen Kay!

I love the Intensity Series too, although I've only done the Pyramids a few times. I think I'll have to work those in this week -- they are really great strength workouts. What I like about them is they are deceptively tough -- you really feel them the next day!

I'll be anxious to hear your review of these.

Have a great day!

Jeanie

Hi Jeanie,

It is so nice to see you here again. Gee, me and my deadlines -- I can hardly get enough time to keep posting here -- and I love chatting about diet and exercise. Sigh... Hopefully, I'll be able to check into the lo carbers a little now and again.

Yes, I'm expecting the workouts any day and I'm planning to add them to my rotation immediately. Yea!

The interesting thing I found is that I went up sightly in my weights on Monday doing Bootcamp -- did 16 pounds on deadlifts and 5 lb hand weights (instead of four) on biceps and overheads. I'm still sore... in a good way.

Anyway, I did the cardio section of Body Max for the first time yesterday and absolutely LOVED it. I hadn't attempted that workout yet because it is so long, but then I realized that I could break it down, and now I'm going to add it to my rotation now and again. What a great cardio endurance workout -- and it was short 20 minutes plus the warm up. Then I did Janis Saffell's stretch workout. It was a good day.

Had PR pictures taken yesterday -- oh, how I dread those sometimes. And I realized how badly I whacked off my hair at Christmas time -- I have to stop doing that and let my hairdresser handle my little hair protests. Oh well...it will grow.

Well, today is the day I do either ME or Power Hour. If I know me, I'll probably reach for ME. I've never loved a workout series so much as the Intensity series. And I can't wait for the Pyramids.

I've also been looking at the Terminator DVD. The only thing that keeps me from ordering it outright is the fact that the workouts (all three) are over 60 minutes and I seldom have more than 60 minutes to devote to a workout. The workouts I have that are over 60 minutes are ones I rarely reach for, only because of time considerations. It's also why I haven't preordered the new series -- because with the exception of one workout, they are all about 70 minutes in length.

Perhaps in the future I might be able to work this into my schedule, but not at the moment. But boy, that Terminator DVD sure does look great, as do the new Hardcore series workouts. Sigh...

Have a terrific day Wendy, and Jeanie and Rhea.:7

Hi Karen and Jeanie!!

Karen - I was humming the ...hi ho, hi ho...once I read it in your post, I was off to work!! LOL

Hmm, I have done the Body Max at all yet, I've been afraid of the length too. That one is reallly long. I think it will be about an hour of cardio for me today. I'm sneaking out here for an early lunch as soon as I'm done.

I'm so excited that the new workouts are going to ship very soon, hopefully next week!!

:D

Hi Rhea,

Are they really shipping that soon? Maybe I'd better get my act together and go and order those that I know I'm going to want. Some of them have put me off cause they're over 60 minutes, but I know I'm going to want some of them no matter what so I might as well pre-order them.

That is exciting!

Have a great day at work -- me, too -- Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go...whistle. Hi ho, hi ho.

Oh, did ME yesterday -- kept getting interrupted -- but I got my new DVD's -- TimeSaver and the Pyramids -- which I'm adding to my workout rotation.

It's IMAX or IMAX2 for me today.

Have a great one!;-) :)

Hi Rhea & Karen Kay!

I did Pyramid Lower Body Tuesday evening and I'm still a bit sore. I love that workout! Yesterday was Firm BSS3 Fat Blasting Cardio, and tonight will be Pyramid Upper Body. I'm usually more of a cardio girl, but I'm trying to focus on strenght workouts this month.

Rhea, I haven't preordered any of the Hardcores, but I'm excited for you all to get yours and give us reviews! I definitely want IMAX 3, LowMax, and Muscle Max.

Well, back to this darn office work! Have a great day you two!

-- Jeanie

Hello Jeanie and Karen Kay!

January is almost over, yippee! I can't wait to see some sunshine. We still have the darn fog, or clouds, depending on the day.

I did the Cardio part of BodyMax yesterday. It will probably be a while before I ever try to do the whole workout at once. What a killer. I was pooped. Of course, I was a bit tired before doing it, so that might be part of the problem, but geeze, it was only about 25 minutes of intense cardio....you just don't stop. I might try to do the Power Circuits and the rest today, since it is already in the DVD player. But then again, haven't done any of the pyramids yet. Lower body might be good for today since I do have a little tiny kink in the shoulder/neck area.

Don't work too hard.

Hi Jeanie! Hi Rhea!

Rhea, you made me laugh. Isn't that cardio in Body Max a killer? Talk about sweat... I, too, only did the cardio because it's hard for me to get an hour, let alone an hour and a half to exercise. It's the same reason why I haven't yet preordered the Hardcore series, although I notice that IMAX3 is 60 minutes.

Like you, Jeanie, I know I'm going to want IMAX3, LOW MAX, MUSCLE MAX and I'll want the stretching DVD, as well -- probably the High Step one, too. But that one might wait. I'm still trying to get over Bootcamp...

Just got PR picts done yesterday and a new bio for the new book -- oh, my aching hairx( I think I'm going to let it grow out. It's still long, but in short layers -- and I don't think the layers work anymore, at least these pictures say they don't.:+

I'm off to exercise now. IMAX or IMAX2 for me today. Then tomorrow I get to do my new pyramids. Yea!:p

Have a great day.

Hi Rhea, Karen, and Jeanie!

Have been busy at work but still doing workouts, too. I used The Firm's Super Sculpt instead of MIS yesterday as I don't have that workout. I'm sure Super Sculpt is alot easier but there was no way I would have had enough time for a 70 minute workout. I haven't had a chance to get in a workout today and just ate dinner so will have to wait at least another half hour.

It looks like all of you have been busy, too.

Natalie
