Hello Sisters of te CatheNation,

Just got back home from this movie, I LOVED it!!
Now, I want to go to Greek Islands for a vacation.
Pierce is HOT in this flick.
And, the music was great.

I felt the same way. Loved the music, loved Pierce and longing for a vacation on a Greek Isle :D I am a huge Abba fun. The movie was just fun!!

Oh, my...

My husband and I saw some clips of this film this morning on TV and just groaned when we heard Mr. Brosnan 'singing'. Yikes! How unfortunate.

We'll be passing on this one.

I cringe watching actors do stupid things like say bad dialogue or do idiotic things. Like was the guy in the recording studio saying stuff like, "Great, Mr. Brosnan! Let's take it from the top, and really sell it this time...OK, we're rolling on take 86..." but like inside he's inwardly roling his eyes...

I loved PB in Remington Steele. I can forgive him the rest of his career because I loved RS so much.

He and Stephanie Zimbalist were just beautiful in that show. They both got more gorgeous each season.

Except, of course, for the "Unfortunate 5th Season". Well, he was still beautiful, but why did they give her those nasty bangs? They didn't suit her at all - what did you think?

My old HS friend, whose name was also Stephanie, and I use to admire that show because SZ could realy haul a$$ in her espadrilles. No fakey fakey twisting the ankle chasing bad guys or tripping on her high heels outrunning the villian for her! She was awesome!

Was it all singing like Evita or Jesus Christ Super Star or was it more like
Grease and The Sound of Music where it was mostly talking and occasionly the burst into song?

Can't stand musicals when all communication is singing only. Seems unnatural.

Loved it!

Pierce's singing was less then stellar, but the movie was fun!! The very end was the absolute best.

DS and I just got back from watching the Dark Knight and I need some PTSD counseling. It was .......dark. Way darker than I expected. DS is watching something happy on TV right now and reading his Bible to get the scary images out of his mind.

However, Heath Ledger was fabulous! He made the whole movie worth it for me.

Now, off to pop in my Abba CD and sing some Waterloo.......

Occasional singing, think Grease or SOM.

Yes, I loved this movie too! Just fun & bright & sunny...I want that soundtrack! I didn't mind PB's singing...I thought he was brave (but with all the manipulation you know they can do in the studio, can you imagine how his voice must sound without any "help"? Yikes, as bad as me, I bet :p)

They did 'Dancing Queen' twice in the movie...made me want to dance so I came right home & did Christi Taylor's Still Jumpin'!

I can't wait to see this movie!! I love the Broadway show and have seen it several times! I wasn't too sure about casting Meryl Streep as Donna (I thought she was too old for the part) but the reviews I've read have said she did a great job.

No really, forget taking your hubby and grab a few of your best girlfriends and go see it!!! Pierce's singing fades away in the background compared to the whole of the movie! Truly the best time I have had at the movies in forever, really, truly SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Oh, btw Hello, I am new to these boards :p
