Most Unfavourite Move ....

Everyonw was naming step moves and there a lot of them I dislike, but when it comes to weight workouts it has to be LOW ENDS! I dread them, and have started to just to 2 instead of 3..and just standing up slower they kill me every time!

Did Low max this morning and that has a lot of moves off the step, pivots and mambo cha chas etc. I love my step - it keeps me orientated and on the right foot. All these turns and pivots just confuse me so I prefer it when we stay anchored, although I enjoy those moves once I have finally learned them.

For me, it's shuffles down the board. I can't get the timing on shuffles to save my life. I can shuffle just fine on the floor, but when I do it on the board I get all mixed up.

I have to admit, I'm not crazy about Flying Angels, ricochets, scoops or air jacks either. But I tend to substitute other moves for those. I also skip the slap clapping and just do the leg portion. I justify it by thinking I don't want to wake the family with all that loud clapping noise; after all, my jumping around the den won't wake them up!!
:)

I used to hate that step sweep, pivot turn, diag basic in LowMax until I got it. Now I love it. I don't have any workouts with those terminator thrust things, I guess I have those to look forward to.

I hate the hamstring presses in the warmup of Rhythmic Step, where you put your arms in the air, come back down and stretch the hamstring, arms up, back down. I just stay down and stretch. I get this vision of girls dancing in pajamas, and the word "baby doll" goes thru my mind. Don't know where that comes from.

I think this is also a move in the warmup of Lowmax. Hate it there too.

I agree !! The cardio in CYCLE 3 of low max (especially what you said about STEP SWEEP, PIVOT TRUNM DIAG BASIC,etc...) always gets me and I just do whatever and just keep moving.

Hmm...I love mambo cha-chas, sashays, terminator thrusts, etc. I guess I am weird. :p

I'll tell you what move bugs me though...ICE BREAKERS. I can't really explain why...it's not like they are overly difficult. I just go "ugh" whenever it's time for those. Maybe it's because they seem to come towards the end of her workouts (in the ones I have done, anyway) and I am tired and ready for the workout to be over by then. I truly don't know. Just don't like 'em for some reason. :(

I don't think anyone said the only move I cannot stand...it is in IMAX 2 and it is those excruciatingly boring genie hops. I HATE that interval. I either fast forward to the next interval or substitute with Power 15's.

Have to say my favorite love to hate it move is Hover Squats!! I breathe a sigh of "Oh No, here they come" Then after 4 sets of 15 pulses..OWWWEEEE! But hey- they feel great- when your done with them!

That's funny that you hate that move from StepWorks because I absolutely love it! That is my favorite workout of hers. I can't stand the flying angels, though. I was first introduced to those in a step class years ago and I just HATE them! I feel so awkward and for some reason the move makes me nervous that I'm going to twist my ankle or fall.
I love the pump repeaters too. I think they're fun. It's such a great move because if you don't like them, there are so many variations on three-knee repeaters that you can do.

>Pump repeaters. When Cathe says they "look pretty" I
>completely disagree! They don't seem to be effective for
>anything either. I try to find a substitute...'cuz I hate
>'em!

I agree about the pump repeaters. In one video she says, "Pump Repeators, you know these, so work them well" or something like that. What are you working? I don't get it.
