Marvelous Moms & their equally Marvelous Babes 5/2

Melanie- Hooray for sleep! I think that getting one good night of rest can get you recharged so well! And, helps you sleep better after.... Your discs went out yesterday. If you like the audio books, let me know. I have more. Mostly self help... Greeat to have another race planned. I am going to set up races for the rest of the year as well. I love having a goal to keep me on target. I think I was in the dumps yesterday because I coudl not exercise! I have such a positive day when I start with a workout. We are getting ready to leave for our run, then headed over to teh east bay. John has STILL not pooped, so I am guessing that he will take a messy steamer on the Bay Bridge. That is just how I roll! I do not know where he puts all this food. He must be going through a growth spurt. DH has a friend coming in twon for two nights tomorrow and I need to change out the guest bedroom for him. Ack. He is a good guy, but has no kids. Hope he realizes that we eat dinner at 5:45 promptly, john melts at 6, bath, bed at 7, then showers for me and jimmy, legos and books and lights out at 8:30. ISn't it funny how scheduled we get when it comes to kids? Or am I the only nut?
Okay, got to go, BBL.

You CAN take Ambien while nursing, I was just afraid that I might not act appropriate if my babies needed me in middle night. I was afraid that I might roll over and crush them or not hear them cry. All's well though. ;)

Running friend is here! I'll let you know how it goes! I got my mojo back!

jen- you look hot!!!!!!!!!!!!! loved the pics on fb. you are way too hard on yourself! james makes a cute pirate. miss yu!

Whew! I am back! What a great vacation! It was just what we needed. It is so nice to see that we can still do the same things we like to with James, just with modifications. I have never wanted to be one of those parents/friends that say "Oh we can't come, we have kids."

Christine- I got your package! Thank you soo very much! You are so kind and generous! Love ya! Thanks for the compliment also! I really didn't feel too bad in my bikini, just the belly area. You're gonna kill me but can you post that recipe with the turkey sausage? It sounds divine! I need some more ideas again. I plan to skim the internet today for some ideas. It already feels like summer here (90 degrees and humid!) so gone are the easy days of soup and stew. I have a friend just like the one you described. We have probably had a total of 4 disagreements and have been friends for 22 + years. We can pick up right where we left off. It's great to have friends like that. No you are not crazy, we are on a schedule too. Not that rigid but within the hour. I panic when people want to come by in the evening and throw off my schedule. Have fun today! Can't wait to hear when John finally pooped!

Melanie- I am soooooo glad you are back and feeling better! I can't imagine juggling everything you do without feeling down in the dumps every so often. I think its normal. Especially cause like you said, you are a "do-er". Have fun on your run with your buddy!

Priscila- I'm glad your ankle is doing better. Listen to Christine, she knows what she is talking about! :) I love PUB too! I'm still doing STS so it will be awhile before I throw that one in the mix.

Lisa- Bought a house at 25? Way to go girl! Sounds like you had a great time with the kids while DH played softball. I get house envy too, I always want to re-decorate, or decorate for that matter. I still have never decorated my house. Things match but not in a classy, adult way.

Susan- Glad Haley is feeling better and I hope K doesn't get sick. J still has a runny nose but that could be the teeth coming. He was trying to chew my shoulder yesterday. Quite funny and endearing...:D Hope you get a lot of packing done. I know moving from our apt to our house was alot of work, I can't imagine doing it now with James and all his stuff.

Hi Allison and Kendra! Sorry if I missed anyone! I feel so out of the loop.... STS Meso 2 is on tap for tonight and I can't wait to do Insanity tomorrow night ((Fingers crossed)).

HI
Errands done..going to pack while K naps later.
Jen-I had to go look at your fb..you do look awesome!!! and James...sooo cute!!! K is gonna have her pick of hotties ina few years! James, John, Daniel..and Jimmy is she likes them older..HA.
Christine-I enjoy cooking too..my problem is coming up with stuff to make. Wish I was as inventive as you and Jimmy! LIS is fun...and once you get it its easy. I like is cuz its fast and not a lot of add ons!
Melanie-thanks for clearing up the Ambien. Sorry to be nosey about it :). Enjoy your run..can't wait to hear about it!
bb

Had a great run. I'm so glad she ran with me b/c it was a windy & tough run today. I woulda probably walked some of it if she wasn't with me. She was so impressed with my IT roller (thanks Christine) and I share all the knowledge I get from Christine w/her. B/w the two of you (and my other running friends) I am learning so much!

I found a challenging (yet doable) 10 mile training schedule. I'm modifying a 1/2 marathon schedule & shortening it up to the time frame I have. I got 'permission' from DH to train for it....as I feel like I really need the support of my entire family to accomplish a running schedule.

Okay, I'm off to clean out the fridge. It feels sooooo good to have my normal moods back. Whew. I hope that I can stay this way. Look out gals! Melanie is back!!!!

Susan, did you order the bowflex weights?

I found an Eggplant Parmesan recipe online at allrecipes.com that I might try tonight. :)

Waves to all!!

Fridge is clean. Eye contacts are ordered. DH's doctor's appt is re-scheduled. Purchased neighbor's deck furniture. Electrician has come & re-ordered faulty hottub part as well as ceiling fan. Plumber is removing garbage disposal and fixing leak. I love being productive. :D

Oh. AND I got a call from pharmacist in town knowing of a pharmacy in neighboring town (40 minutes away) who is looking for a full-time pharmacist in the "near future". Oh man. I'm trying not to get too excited. I have another 15 mos left on my Kmart contract, so I'm not really sure where that would leave me or if they'd be willing to wait that long for me? Otherwise I'd have to pay back my sign-on bonus (maybe new pharmacy would pay it out). Anyways, it might make life a little more interesting. lol

Hi!
Today I am an organziing nut! I LOVE to organize and while Im packing Im organzing too. The craft closet is all nice and neatly boxed up now. I threw out all the old crayons/markers and will start a fresh stock. I am also chunking all my bakeware and getting new. I have had this stuff for TOO many years.
Melanie I havent ordered yet. I was wanting to ask Christine-can the weights be put on your shoulders like dumbells?? If so..I am ordering. Are you???

So far eats are great...my new fav snack is roasted, pureed cauliflower mixed with greek yogurt! Im trying this other recipe with cauliflower that I saw on Dr Oz the other day.
http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/dave-liebermans-fettucine-alfredo

Ok back to organizing

Mel that would be great for you to work closer to home!! Could you get out of your contrace with Kmart somehow??

Susan, I love things organized too. I will order the bowflex dumbbells, but was going to wait until Fall when I start CharLean Xtreme. I might order them sooner though (especially if you do).

If the job is meant to be, it'll all work itself out. I've been "waiting" for a job to open up in this town. There's a pharmacist in her 90s who is going to retire sooner or later. It'd be great if they would wait for my contract to end. I have a gal pharmacist that I might be able to take my contract over....she's contract-less...but I'll probably have to pay her a chunk of money to do it. My gears are spinning but it's way too soon to get excited about it. :p

DH is going to make fish for dinner. Yummy. :D This is my "tired" part of the day. Too bad I already have had two Mountain Dews today. lol I'm going to make an ice cold Crystal Light beverage and see if I can spunk up a bit. No worries. Not depression-type of fatigue....just regular life type of fatigue. The "good" kinda fatigue. :D

The plumber just went to get a part for the sink. He's kinda a cute kid in his 20s. He gave me a double take when he saw me today. Silly me, I thought he was looking at my gigantic pimple on my chin. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm flattered.

Yay for Melanie!! So glad you are back! Cleaning/organizing always help me when I get in a funk. Its like I have to de-clutter my life.

Melanie- That's good that your friend pushed you while running. Fingers crossed about the job opportunity closer to home. You have a great outlook on it. :D You should be flattered girl! You are a hot momma! He probably thought you were the hot nanny or something until he saw you in all the family pics. ;)

Susan- I can't wait til you order the bowflex dummbells! I hope you like them. I will eventually get them. All this organizing and cleaning, now I want to go home and organize my pantry. :D

Christine- Are you still cleaning John's poop off the bridge????

Yew Hew. Christine.....where did you go?

Jen, I'm so glad you are back & you had a great trip. Thanks for the positive vibes.

Myranda won't sleep; thank goodness her Madalynn is a sleeper! I have carried them around in my bjorn much of the day. I used to LOVe doing that with their brothers. They were pretty much velcroed to me all day. With the girls I don't get to do it as much b/c it's uncomfortable to wear them both at the same time. So, when one is sleeping I'm going to try to wear the waking sister so we can spend some one-on-one mommy-and-me bonding time.

i am back! such a great time. i love my friend. we talked like crazy for 5 hours while the boys played and jimmy cried that we had to go home. john did poop on the bridge, made him sit in it till home. sorry buddy! so gross!
mel- yay to hear you are great! yay!
jen- will post recipew when i have 2 hands!
susan- yes you can, but i often modify. i do not even use a barbell anymore. on leg barbell moves, i jus use the dumbbells and extend my arms towards knees, if you know what i mean....
ok, bbl!

Well Susan? When are you going to buy them now? :p You deserve them! Especially after getting your house to look so beautiful for buyers AND selling it yourself without all those realtor fees! Don't you think she deserves them gals?

Christine, I"m sorry I didn't know you were headed somewhere today. I'm glad you were just busy. Thanks for all the "ya's", your support is priceless to me....especially with all YOU have on your plate.

We are all such an amazing group of ladies, aren't we? Oh how I wish we could get together for a Sunday brunch or something. That'd be so fun!

no prob, melanie! i went to see a friend i have known since i was 3 yrs old. she now lives about an hour from here down teh street that we lived in till my mom died! So crazy! Her son is jimmys age and they played like they have known each otehr forever. she is like you all, you can check in with her when you have the time and it is like not a beat was skipped. We are going to get together on tuesdays and I am also going to teach her to cook and get in shape! First, we are headed to the grocery store to rehaul her closets of food nad then I am going to help her cook a recipe a week! so glad that you are running agian! Okay, back to making dinner. Asian turkey buergers with ginger and garlic and sesame and edamame and barley on the side. Mmmm

I admire everyone's ability to cook here. I cook to live, but I don't really enjoy doing it. I do enjoy baking with my kids b/c it puts a smile on their faces. I enjoy baking bread b/c it turns out good & I know it's alot healthier than store bought.....but I wouldn't be sad at all if someone wanted to cook nutritiously healthy meals for me. :p As a matter of fact, all of you sound like marvelous cooks!!!!

Christine, I vamped my 1/2 marathon schedule and mixed it with Hal Higdon's Intermediate 15K schedule. I have wiggle room in case I need it. I'm only able to train 4 days/week as I refuse to run on workdays. I'm going to try to do "speedwork" this time. My running partner suggested that I run w/high school track team during their speed training days. Doesn't that sound like fun? Jory doesn't mind. He's so fast, runs 5:25 minute/mile. Amazing! I'm so proud of him. :)

I'm off to put boys to bed. We survived our first day of cloth diapers. I'm not sold on them yet. I will try them again on my next day off (Wed). I told DH I wouldn't hold him to do them until I know it works. That's only fair, right? Okay, I better get going......

Christine- Sounds like such a great time! Love that the boys got along so well! No hurry on the recipe, I just want to mention it before I forget.

Susan- You asked me awhile ago about June 14 (I think) and Bradenton. I am about an hour and a half from there but I would so love it if we could arrange to meet somewhere for lunch or even a chat at the park! How cool would that be!

Melanie- I DO think Susan deserves the weights, as well as you! Don't be so modest there supermom! High five to Jory! He is FAST! You should be proud!

Ok off to put little one and myself to bed. STS Disc 16 done! Loved it! Lifting heavy rocks! :p

Evening!
K and H in bed..Im headed that way shortly!
Melanie-I am THIS close to ordering. Im about to go on youtube to see if there is a demonstration of them. And I have p90x in my cart....Im just not sure about all the pull ups..I dont have a bar and will most likely not get one.Hmmmmmm

Jen-taht would be awesome to meet. We might move our trip back 1 week just so I have time to get settled in my rental house and we have a wedding on the 12th we just found out about.l....but we are def coming in June.

Christine-your day sounds so nice. I miss doing that with my girlfriends in Miss..we would spend the day at the park chatting while the kids played...too fun. You dinner sound yummo!

I am beat. Eats were great today!

Good Morning!
HOpe everyone got some sleep. K was up 2 times and moaned a lot in her sleep..I tossed and tured and so did dh..must bet the stars or soemthing.
So I watched a few vids about the bowflex weights. My only concern now is that since I am so short and they weights are so wide that it will not be comfortable for me to use them.
Disc 5 today! Be back

Good morning all! J slept great, was up at 6 just laying in his crib playing.

Susan- Hopefully we can work it out! Just let me know when you have a date set. Sorry about the sleep, DH and I usually have nights like that together too. Do you have a sporting goods store or Sears near you that you could go try out the weights? Its alot of money to purchase something that you aren't sure if they are comfortable or not.

Off to take J to daycare and stop at the store for fixings for a buffalo chicken salad for lunch. BBL!

Waves to all!!
