Ahhh I actually feel rested today! I slept from 10-2 then 3-5:30 yessssss! and K is still alssep
No workout early. Haley got in bed with dh last night. They were up for an hour with her coughing and blowin her nose until her meds kicked back in. Shes is sickie today and will be staying home.
I will do disk 4 at naptime.
Melanie-Im hoping you got some needed sleep last night!
Christine-I keep imagining what its like to be chased by a coyote! know you were scared to death at the time...but it cracks me up now..sorry!

wow you guys had a chatty sunday! I had a great day at home with the kids. DH played softball part of the day, and the little ones were true angels for me! I got a ton done around the house. There just seems to be so much random stuff sitting around in places I don't like--bills on the table, receipts on the dresser, etc. Just stuff that doesn't have a place, and it drives me crazy. I was feeling extra motivated because we went to one of DH's friend's house Saturday night. They have a BEAUTIFUL home! I get house envy :(. I come back to our little 1800 sq ft, 1980 built home with a different shade of carpet in each room, and feel crappy. I try to remind myself that I bought the house when it was just me (at only 25, so I was proud!), have no non-house debt, and we can afford the payments with just one income..BUT..I'd still love to have a nicer place. My point...I'm trying to make the most of what I have, and I need a clutter free home to do that.

I'm starting fish oil and curcumin for the RA...not so happy about the 50cals and 5g of fat being added from that oil each day. The dr. said it usually takes a few months to feel any difference and to not expect miracles. My pain is mild though, so even just a little improvement may be enough. I haven't been on the internet long enough to check out the mental part of healing (www.tiller.org), so that's still on my list.

Jen, your dog story made me laugh and it brought me back to my days of working at a hotel. At least DH took care of the toilet himself..though I suppose it was because you didn't want hotel staff in your room! I remember men, yes men, calling the front desk to have their toilets plunged. Yours truly had to take care of it. Yuck. Be a man and plunge your own toilet!!

Christine-A coyote?? Holy crap I would have freaked out. Ya for the early AM action. DH tried to get some last night, but I was in such a deep sleep that it just wasn't going to happen. I'lll have to check out that baby food you mentioned, once Reese starts in a few months. With Caden, I made some of my own food..some basic veggies, but I'm not sure that I'll have time with Reese. I looked through my test result summary, and I don't see any Intraleukin things. THe closest sounding thing I see is leukocytes. As I understand it, Sed Rate, RH factor, and C-reactive protein are the main indicators of RA. All of my numbers are low in those areas. I should compare them to my results from 3 years ago.

Susan-mmm..lentils. I made up some lentil sloppy joes yesterday and mixed TVP with them. Caden likes them too...I put some in his eggs, and he ate them right up. P90x..I LOVED it! I had really great results. One thing I didn't like was that he LOVES to work back--especially in pullups. I did a lat pull down instead, since I STILL can't do a pull up. I also subbed in other back exercises for some of the pull ups. I'm thinking about going back to it, and trying the resistance band substitutions. I've been doing CLX with the bands, and I'm just not feeling worked enough. I miss my weights!!!

Reese is sleeping like a rockstar. 7:45 to 6:15 so far. My boobs are leaking like crazy though. Treadmill and revabs this morning and then work until 8. Sorry about the novel. Have a great day!
 
Good Lord am I grouchy today. Poor jimmy has had his head bitten off so many times. He did deserve it, but not so tough! I am thinking AF? Who knows. Maybe tired. I am taking today off of exercise, I was going to do PUB adn STS abs, but will have a snack adn nap instead. Boo. BBL with personals, and hopefully a nap and a new attitude!!!!!!!!!!!

Did disc 4 this morning. Haley is home sick today. Kara took at 1.5 hr nap this morning..and has been asleep nearly 3 hours this afternoon. I hope this isnt an indication of her getting Haley's cold!!!!

susan- you are a packing machine. seems like yesterday when we packed up to come here. so much harder for you, having to figure out what stays and goes. go check out the weights at a sports store, i love them so much. i used to hate lifting and now i cannot imagine life without it. way to go on the eats.

i am making meatballs with ground turkey for dinner with multigrain pasta.
still in my funk. good to have the bad days so the god ones shine more. i am taking jimmy to the east bay, about an hour away, so see one of my greatest friends and her 4 year old. she just moved back from hawaii. i cannot wait. she is the kind of friend that you do not talk to for a year and there is no drama, just goes right back to the old days! it will mean no weights for me, but friends are harder to come by than a dvd! got mothers day gifts out to mil and step mother. whew.
jimmy had the ipod taken away for being bad. this is tough. he is preferring dh over me lately. i miss my baby!
ok, john is needing to take a poop. come on kiddo. two days and many veggies in between. please poop before i drive an hour across the bay!
mel- the run sounds like a great idea for you. how did the ambien do?
 
My goodness, you gals have been very chatty these past days. Enjoying my day off today, my ankle is a lot better but It's not fully healed. I did PUB on Saturday and I CANNOT believe the serious DOMS I am having for two days now! It's a killer workout and I love how it works your whole upper body in less than an hour. I downloaded a ebook that talks about ankle sprained and it shows some great stretches and moves to strengthen them. It also talks about shoe selection. I went ahead and bought a pair of Nike Free as recommended in the book since tehy allow for more of a physiological move of the feet. I used this morning on my elliptical and so far so good. My ankle was fine for the most part.

Jen, hope you are enjoying your vacations big time!. My anniversary is in less than a month but we won't be able to go out of town since DH will be taking summer classes. I'll be our 3rd anniversary.

Lisa, at least your are debt free other than the mortgage which is inevitable almost always. I'm still paying student loans and my mortgage is on the high end but I'm glad that my car will be paid off in Dec. and that I have no creadit card debt. My only true "addiction" is workout dvd ;)

priscilla- I had doms for a week from PUB I loved it adn could not believe how weak my chest was! Hey, do you pronate? Check your bottoms of your shoes, do they wear evenly? You might pronate which can exacerbate ankle issues. If so, some orthotics could make all the difference. I heeavily pronate and depend on my dear orthotics! Glad you have a day off!
 
Christine, not sure if I pronate. I'll check my old sneakers tomorrow (they're upstairs ;))
Are your orthotics custom made? I had an app. this morning with a podiatrist and canceled it! I hate going to the dr and since I'm feeling better I decided not to go.

Dinner was delicious, Jimmy picked. We had turkey sausage sauteed with garlic shaots red peppers and tomatoes with mansvarpine and chicken broth sauce, and fresh basil and pecans on top. I had chocolate covered caramel Mand red wine. It was damn good chicas. Dh being an angel. Might be nookie night!

Lisa~ I got your card today too. Thank you, that was thoughtful! I am so proud of you and your attitude about your house. Whenever I got house envy, I did what you're doing....worked even harder to make my house beautiful. We lived in a 1200 sq foot house for 15 years. When we moved we had 3 kids & a chocolate lab living in just 900 sq feet of the house. I loved that house & we have such great memories. I still miss it sometimes.

Susan~ I had no idea how much work it was to move until we moved a couple years ago. I don't envy you at all.

Precila~ I'm glad PUB worked so well for you! It feels good to be sore.

I slept fairly well last night. I'm antsy & excited about running with my running budy. She's going to help me formulate a plan for my 10 mile race on Father's Day weekend. I'm thinking it should be very doable....but I've only been running 4-5 mile jaunts since the half marathon.

The Ambien worked swell the other night. I took just half of one....I was so nervous about the girls, but it was mildly sedative. It helped me fall asleep but I was easily arroused to nurse. Last night I didn't have trouble falling asleep...but I did wake up several times. I might reserve the Ambien for the nights before I work to insure I get a good nite's sleep.

K has been sleeping pretty good...getting up once. She got up super early today..4:45..so she was ready for a nap at 7...I did LIS showered and I am ready to run errands when she gets up. Haley is better...no fever..but Im keeping her home today. Errands and packing on my agenda today.
Melanie-I am sooooo glad you are feeling more like yourself...I was worried about you! I thought you said you couldnt take Ambien while nursing?? is a small dose ok? Just curious.
Christine-your dinner sounds awesome. How do you come up with your great meals? Are you less grumpy today?? Yaay for nookie! My dh got lucky too!

Susan- Kara and john are on teh same schedule! He goes down at the same time and tends to wake just like her (last night not counting, he was up every hour). I come up with the meals by thinking what I want to eat and cruising through the fridge. I love to read cookbooks and learn what flavors go together. Jimmy came up with last nights menu. We were on teh floor doing Bendaroos (thanks, mel!!!!), and I was looking through cookbooks while we played, and he picks the picture! He loved it. IT was so light and delicious. I buy meats on sale and vacuum pack them and store them in one night portions, so I usually have whatever we ned on hand. Cooking makes me feel good. You know, making order out of disorder? Hope that Haley gets well and that you stay healthy. I think LIS is so confusing, you go gorl. I am missing my step these days. I need these kids on a better schedule where they BOTH sleep!
