Lurkers Invitation For The Holidays

Yesterday I called the neighbor and asked if he would keep the dogs inside until I was done with my walk in the wood. He said he can do that. It seems in order to walk in even my own back yard I have to call my neighbors to do this. (Yes the dogs come in our yard, pee and poo and then leave) This is not right, but this is what I've been having to go through most of the time here, (16+ years now) and the authorities will do nothing about it. Unless of course something horrible happens, but by then it will be to late. The authorities say I can shoot the animals if I'm threatened by them, but then again, it is not their fault. It's the stupid neighbors.

Anyhoo, now that you get the jest of the matter, I can change my way of thinking by saying that the dogs can protect us neighbors from harm. I hate asking to walk in the wood because I've lost the right to walk in my own yard and have to cowl down to someone who I don't respect and am annoyed by. The reality is, in order to use the wood for walking, I have to do it. My pride is very much hurt, and I'm in tears, but I love the wood and I'll do it so Rolly and I can walk in it.:( These neighbors use to live 5 acres away from us with trees in-between. His sister is now living about 50 feet away and we can see her house in-between the trees (maybe we can grow more trees). They moved her in about 2 years ago. Our privacy is somewhat limited now. Maybe we do want to move, then again it could be worse! We would want to purchase a place, move in slowly then sell this house. We couldn't afford it anyway. The whole situation is heart breaking. Thanks for letting me rant, it is taking it's toll this week.:( I'll get over it. I go through this at least once a year, rant and rave and then move on.

We walked yesterday for about 45 min. Today and tomorrow are my rest days. Today, we'll try to walk longer.

Pam, I couldn't stand it if a dog barked all day long. Someone should record it and give it to the neighbors.

Eating off the same platter is so romantic and sweet!:)

Great job on MM, one of my favorites. Then of course your wonderful bonus burn. Don't worry about not doing all the toe push ups, that workout is hard!

Take care, will be back for more later today.

Janie

Did Cardio Kicks this morning. It was supposed to be Step Blast but this has been in the rotations quite a bit so I thought I would do something I hadn't done in a while.

Pam You are lucky that your DH will eat what ever you feed him. I wish mine would. That is so romantic eating off the same plate. I have seen Steely Dan just once but DH has seen them several times. It seems that once they get older their voices just aren't the same. I find Imax 3 the hardest of the three. Imax 2 is my favorite. Your bonus burn would have been tough after MM. Glad to hear that the scale is moving in the right direction. That is always a good feeling. I think I will try making my own ricotta too. Did you get your recipe off the internet?

Janie Sorry that you are having so much trouble with the dogs and your neighbour. I don't understand people who can't keep their pets under control. I would be upset too if dogs came into our yard and did their business. There should be laws against it why should you and Joey have to put up with it. I don't think you would be happy if you had to move. I think even though you have stupid neighbours you love where you live. Too bad they are so ignorant that you can't enjoy your own property as much as you would like. I don't think you scared everyone away. It is the weekend and I think everyone is busy and will post a bit later.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheryl

Thanks Cheryl, for reminding me that it's the weekend and the much needed support.

Tomorrow I will be going to our Home Association Community Meeting. They tell us about the road, our yearly support financial woes and other things... At the end they ask if there is any new business or concerns and that is when I will get up and read off from my two page notes what is happening personally with dogs. The person who allows his terrorizing dogs on our property is in fact one of the board members.

Wish me luck, because I know I will need it. I will either be ostracized from everyone, or I will give them something to think about. I wished I was never put into this situation, but when I'm cornered, I fight.

I'll let everyone know how it goes tomorrow or Monday. My sister will be here with me for support. She is coming tomorrow all the way form Eastern Washington. I can't thank her enough.

Janie

Hello everyone! I didn't have time to post yesterday. After doing MM (and my 40 pushups in sets of 14-8-10-8 on my toes), Jason and I had to leave to go to my parents for the night. We haven't visited them in awhile and Wednesday was my dad's birthday so it seemed like a good weekend to go see them. They only live about 40 minutes away so it is not too bad of a trip.

Anyway, today is my day off and once I get home (I am still at my parents) I plan on doing a segment of Stretch Max and then taking a bath.

Pam That is funny that our posts seem to cross most of the time during the week! Good job on Imax 3. I don't find it as difficult as Imax 2 (haven't done Imax yet but will soon) but I do enjoy the workout as it is fun and seems to fly by!

That is so sweet you two sharing a salad off of the same plate! :) Not sure Jason would go for that. Maybe the idea of a big salad but he would want his own plate since the only dressing he likes is ranch and I tend to eat my salads naked or with my own homemade honey dijon.

Janie Good job on ME! Haven't done that one yet but I think it is my schedule sometime in the next couple weeks. I am starting a new rotation tomorrow and there are a lot of workouts scheduled that I haven't done yet which is exciting!

I am so sorry you are having problems with your neighbors dogs. I have to say that people who let their animals run loose is my biggest pet peeve (no pun intended). Not only is he making it uncomfortable for you and possibly others but he is also putting the lives of his dogs at risk by getting hit by a car or attacked by a wild animal! So frustrating! I will be praying for you for not only your board meeting tomorrow but also for the situation as a whole.

Cheryl Good job on PS! I just love those upper body workouts. I feel so strong while I am doing them and then afterward I get that feeling in my arms afterwards where they feel like lead and jello all at the same time. Also great job on CK! That's another one I love. In fact, I tried to get Jason to workout to it with me. I said "Look, honey, there are guys in this one! You should try it!" He gave me a look like I was nuts and then walked away.

Yes, DH is a junk food junkie. In fact this morning for breakfast, he just ate a Little Debbie Swiss Roll.

Well, I am off to get ready to head home.

Julie

Janie So sorry to hear you are going through such a tough time with your neighbor's dogs. Good for you for going to the meeting to fight it!! You go get em! It's so hard when you love where you live but have difficult neighbors. I just do not understand some people! You should not be afraid to go for a walk, especially on your own property. Sending you good vibes for your meeting tomorrow night (or is it tonight?). How wonderful of your sister to come and support you! And by the way, you can vent here anytime!

Cheryl I got the ricotta recipe from epicurious.com. There are a couple of different versions out there, I made the one with whole milk, cream, salt and lemon juice. I made my sauce and put my lasagne together yesterday so when we eat it tonight it will be the big test.
Good job on Cardio Kicks. I enjoyed that one. I can't figure out if I'm starting to like kickboxing workouts more of if it isn't a typical kickbox wo.

Julie You did better than I did with your pushups after MM! I did most of mine on my toes but just couldn't get all 40. Something to work toward though! Enjoy your stretch max and bath!
I think that for me the original Imax may be the hardest of the 3. None of them are a walk in the park though!
A Little Debbie Swiss roll - oh my  you have your work cut out for you! ;)

Today is officially my day off but I went for a 15 mile bike ride. It's a beautiful day and just perfect for a ride. Now I'm off to run some errands. I'm working on some halloween stained glass, I'll post some pictures when I get the second one done. Have a great Sunday everyone. Janie, I will get thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way for your homeowners meeting! Please let us know how it goes.

Pam

Good Sunday afternoon!

I'll give a general response to all of you...I'll figure out the format of these forums soon and be able to make things more personal as I get acclimated.

First, thanks for all the well wishes for my back. It is feeling better, but still not great. No leg workout on Friday as I had hoped. :( I have been taking Aleve, applying ice, and using an electrical impulse stimulator thing twice a day. The electrical stimulation feels like thousands of needles, but feels really good. I'm going to keep working out as much as my back will allow me to, so tomorrow morning I'll repeat Disc 1 -- Chest, Shoulders, and Biceps and maybe go for a long walk.

We have had a wonderful weekend with our college kids at home.:) We also have a daughter who is in the 8th grade. She likes being an only child while the other two are gone, but she loves it when they come home. :)

Someone asked if my husband is into fitness. Sadly, no. :( I used to beg him to join me (he's got a good 40 - 50 lbs. to lose), but gave up on that. Now I just make a gentle request every time he has to get his high blood pressure prescription refilled. He is supportive of me and my efforts and has made the transition to healthier eating without a single complaint, so maybe there's still hope.

Janie: Good luck at your meeting. It is never easy to voice an opinion or concern that might ruffle some feathers, but if the feathers need ruffling, you have to do what you have to do. I hope your concerns are well received. You might find that you are not alone in your complaint, either.

I'm off work tomorrow, so I'll try to spend a little more time getting more familiar here. :) Have a wonderful Sunday.

Helen

Janie Sending positve vibes your way for tomorrow night. It is nice that your sister is coming to give you support. Let us know how it went.

Julie Funny how both you and Pam think Imax 3 is easier than Imax 2. I am just the opposite  Your DH sounds just like mine. Mine doesn't workout or eat healthly either. CK was one I did a lot when it first came out, but hadn't done it in a while.

Pam I will check out epicurious.com. I don't think CK is your typical kickboxing workout. Maybe that is why you enjoyed it so much :D. Do you watch hockey? Your Carolina Hurricanes are playing our Vancouver Canucks right now. The score is 3 - 0 for the Canucks right now but it is only the second period so anything could happen. While I was typing this Carolina scored so it is 3 - 1.....

Helen Sometimes it can take a while for your back to get back to normal. At least that is how it is with me. I would do stretching or yoga and stay away from leg work and deadlifts for a bit. I find that I have to quit early or lighten the weight a lot with deadlifts even if my back does feel good.
My DH isn't into fitness or eating properly either. I have tried to get him to do something but he won't budge. I figure when he is ready he will do it but unfortunatly I think it is going to take a real heath issue for him to do it.

Today I went to my yoga class. It was really good. One thing I have found though is that I am really snoozy when I get home and I feel that way all day. Makes it hard to get anything done :)

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Cheryl

Happy Monday!!

Today I did Step, Jump, Pump for the first time. I liked the concept of it and the flow but didn’t care too much for the floor aerobics. I think this is mainly because I work out on carpet which makes pivoting and fast switching moves hard (if not dangerous). Plus I really do not have a lot of room; so, I can’t do grapevines parallel to the TV which means I have to face perpendicular for some movements and then shift back to a forward face for the next and back again. Maybe someday I will get a bigger space! :( I did add on 40 pushups in 4 sets of 10 at the end. I can’t say they are getting any easier but I’m going to keep going!

Pam I am doing the original Imax tomorrow. I previewed it and it looks like a doozie. Good job on your pushups regardless of whether they are on your toes or knees. I have the Women’s Health Big Book of Exercises and it said that with a standard pushup on your toes you are lifting 70% of your body weight and on your knees it is still 60%. I would have thought it would have been a bigger difference but I know 60% of my body weight is still a hefty amount!

Helen Keep doing what you have to do for your back until you feel comfortable with it and then ease back into the other workouts. Back (or really any core) injuries seem to be the worst since you are always twisting or moving from that part of your body. If you figure out how to get your DH into working out and eating healthier let me know. My husband has about 35 pounds to lose but isn’t interested in doing what needs to be done to get them off.

Cheryl I guess that yoga class really puts you in a relaxed state. Too bad it isn’t something you could do right before bed! What is it with our DHs (with the exception of Janie’s) not wanting to be healthier? I’ve tried explaining to my husband that he doesn’t have to work out as often as I do or even eat as clean as I do. All he needs to do is have a small start and see where it goes from there. If you figure out the secret to getting yours to workout, feel free to share any tips!

Janie Still thinking of you and hoping your meeting will go well!

Have a wonderful Monday!

Julie

Helen Glad to hear your back is starting to feel better but definitely continue to listen to your body and take it easy as needed. That electrical stimulation sounds a little scary to me
So nice to hear you had a great weekend with the kids home! We ended up in the same situation. Our oldest came home to go to homecoming at the high school on Friday night and then was planning to go to the mountains for the weekend to visit some friends who are going to school there. There were 8 of them planning to go, but by Saturday morning when they were supposed to leave it was down to only him! He figured it wasn't worth going by himself so we ended up having him home for the weekend which was really nice. It is funny how excited his younger brother and sister are to see him. I was never like that with my siblings at that age!

Cheryl I figured CK wasn't really a typical kickboxing workout when I liked it so much. The annoying thing is that I didn't think I had it so I bought the download when it showed up in the rotation. This morning I was flipping through my dvds and guess what? I already had it! It was one that I had bought as a VHS on eBay and then had never done it. I copied it over to DVD when I copied all of my VHS tapes. Oh well, now I can use it in the workout blender when it comes out if I want.
I really don't watch hockey. We used to have season tickets for the Hurricanes that we split with 3 other couples. It got to the point where we were hardly ever able to go to any of the games with DH traveling so much, so we gave up our tickets. I haven't kept up with them since! Pretty bad fan, huh? I think I saw this morning that they did lose that game to the Canucks though.

That is funny that yoga makes you so sleepy. I found that bike riding did that to me when I went on really hot days. It just sucked all of the energy right out of me! maybe you need to take a nap afterwards. My DH always takes a short nap when he comes home from basketball.

Julie At least our posts didn't cross today! I am just the opposite of you with SJP, I love the floor aerobics. I was always a high impact queen though so it gives me a little taste for that. It is a pain when you don't have enough room though for all of the moving around. I find that with some of Amy Bento's workouts.
Wow, I am surprised that there is only 10% difference between toes and knees for pushups. They seem so much easier on my knees! I hope it's true though :D

Janie Anxiously awaiting the results of your meeting and hoping for the best! Please let us know!

This morning was supposed to be a run for me. Since I don't like to run I did BodyMax instead. I didn't do the upper body work, but did the step and the drills and the abs. Then my bonus burn of course! This time I did all of the push ups on my toes in 3 sets 14,13,13 yea! I'm afriad it's going to be tough to get all of my workouts in this week. We are going to a concert tomorrow night, a wine dinner Thursday night and a birthday dinner Friday night! I am going to try to get them all in but I'm not good at the late nights anymore so we'll see. I hope everyone has a great Monday!

Pam

Today I did Step Moves. I really like that one. I started working out in the mornings again so I think I am going to create my own rotations to fit in with my limited time.

Julie I like Step Jump and Pump but to have fun with it you do need some room. That would be fustrating to have to switch which way you go to do the moves. Very good with the pushups. I am surprised too that there is only a 10% difference between doing pushup on your toes vs. on your knees.
It would be nice if the yoga classes were at night. I would probably sleep really well. Well if I can ever figure out how to get him more active I will let you know.

Pam You know you have a lot of DVDs when you didn't know you already had one :D. I grew up with hockey since all of my cousins and neighbours were boys. If I didn't I would have been very alone since there were never any other girls around. Yep the Hurricanes lost to our Canucks 5 - 1 but at least your team has won the Stanley Cup. We are still waiting.......it's been 40 long years.......
I think yoga really relaxes me, I did fall asleep on the couch afterwards for a bit. Really hot days makes me sleepy even if I don't do anything :). What concert are you going to? Out three nights in one week.....I would have trouble fitting in my workouts too. I am like you, I can't stay out late anymore and function the next day.

Janie I hope everything went well for you tonight. Let us know.

Helen I hope your back is doing better.

Debbie How are things going for you?

Have a great Tuesday.

Cheryl

Good morning everyone. I was hoping to see some news from Janie. Hope everything went well for you Janie.
Cheryl Are you having to get up at the crack of dawn to get your workouts in in the morning? It's such a tough balance trying to fit everything in isn't it?! Step Moves is a fun one. The concert we are going to tonight is the Stone Temple Pilots. It was supposed to be 2 weeks ago but got delayed by 2 weeks because one of the band members had to go into rehab  Apparently they started one of their shows over an hour late and when he came onstage he said he had been boozing. That show sounds like it was an interesting one. So far so good since he's been back, but we'll see what happens!

This morning was Maximum Intensity Cardio followed by my bonus burn. I like this one but for some reason the step part seems like it drags. I had to break down and go to the knees for some of my push ups too. I was tired this morning! I hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

Good morning.

Julie: My husband and kids are on board with healthy eating...my DH just eats too MUCH of it, and he does like his beer. It doesn't help that his doctor has said nothing to him about lowering his BP with exercise and weight loss...she just renews his 'scrip for meds and congratulates him for "only gaining 3 pounds this year"...those "3 pounds a year" have all added up! (By the way, if I gain 3 pounds in a year, my doctor is all over me like a cheap suit! )

Cheryl: My back is feeling better today. Not 100%, but a definite improvement over yesterday and tons better than the days before that!

Janie: How did your meeting go?

Pam: I used to get up at 4:45 every morning to get my workouts done. It was the only time of day that I knew no one would need me for anything. I left my job of 20 years about a year and a half ago and now have the luxury of "sleeping in" until 6:00 a.m. a few days a week. I am a substitute teacher and work on an as needed basis, which is usually 3 - 4 days a week.

Speaking of that...I'm off work today. It's past time to get moving! :p

Have a good day, all. Helen

Well I did Imax today for the first time. (I started a new rotation on Monday and most of the workouts are ones I haven’t done yet so you will be seeing that with most of my posts.) I also followed that up with 40 pushups in sets of 20, 10, and 10.

Imax was fun but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be from when I previewed it on Sunday. Don’t get me wrong, it was still a joyous torture (I really hate power lunges!) but I just imagined I would be lying on the floor by the end heaving for breath. I would say that my order for the Imaxes from hardest to least hard (but not easy) would be Imax 2, Imax 3, and then Imax.

I think the original Imax has longer active recovery periods which helps. I was actually able to get my heart rate down low enough to take light sips of water between each interval which I don’t remember being able to do with Imax 2 or 3.

Pam I am with you on the running. I don’t really enjoy doing it but do sometimes do it begrudgingly. BodyMax in exchange for a run sounds like it would be more fun (at least to me!). Good job on BM and MIC. I haven’t done either of those yet but they are coming up in my rotation. I really enjoyed BM2 so I have high hopes for BM. Those pushups are easier some days and harder other times. I have noticed that if I concentrate on not looking at my feet ("always train with that good posture" ;)), I can do more reps in one set on my toes. I have a bad habit of looking at my feet and I am not sure why (maybe I am wondering if they are still down there ).

The STP concert sounds like fun! I love STP even though the lead singer has some major substance abuse issues. Hope you enjoy it!

Cheryl Good job on Step Moves. I don’t have that one. I thought about getting it but was afraid it would be too dancy for me (I don’t look pretty when I do mambos and cha-chas!)

My husband is a hockey fan. He is slowly converting me! I am more of a baseball junkie but hockey is the next sport I would watch. Although I wish there wasn’t fighting allowed. I know that is a major attraction for a lot of people but I would rather just see them play the game than stop for a little rumble in the rink!

Helen Good to hear your back is doing much better! My husband likes his beer too! He has switched to MGD 64 which is better than Budweiser! I wish my husband would go for a full physical but then again I am not sure our doctor would tell him he needs to lose weight. In all honesty, I would rather he work on quitting smoking than eating healthier (at least right now). I think that would have the bigger health impact. :(

Janie I too was hoping for some good news. Maybe we will hear something soon?

Debbie Hope everything is going well with you!

Julie

GOOD NEWS!

I read my notes to the board members and asked them to help me resolve this situation with one of their own members. Most of them agreed, that it needs to be resolved and that Bert should at least close the gates so that his dogs don't come in our yard any longer. YEAH! The gates are now closed. Not sure how long this will last, but the gates are closed. Isn't that something that a simple act like that can mean a difference to a whole family? Wow.

After the excruciating confrontation, the board members asked if any of us would like to become a board member. I made some sounds and I was voted in as a board member. Nothing like keeping your enemies at bay, RIGHT?;) I told them It would be on a trial basis. They agreed.

Thank you so much for all of your support. You don't know how much I needed that. I could feel them through the cyberspace networks and into my heart.

My sister arrived in time for the meeting and supported me in every way that was possible. Bless her heart. She kept me very busy all the time she was visiting here ( the last few days). There was literally no time to go on the computer.

I read everyone's posts and you all seem to be doing well. I'm so proud that as a group we support each other. I truly believe it works. It's so nice to make friends and get to know one another and have fun too.

Today I will be walking Rolly for at least an hour to make up for lost days. Oh, how nice is that? I love the woods, the birds, blue sky today, and squirrels... As you can see, I'm so happy!

Janie

I know I already posted once today on this check-in but since I saw Janie's reply, I had to post again!!

That is great news Janie!!! I am excited for you and hope the sun is still shining and birds are still chirping with every walk with Rolly from here on out!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Helen I'm surprised your DHs Doctor doesn't get on him about his weight or especially his BP. Is it just me, or does it seem like they are much harder on women when it comes to these things?
I'm glad to hear that your back is feeling better. I did the 4:30 am workouts for awhile when I had to drive the kids to high school. It was so nice when the oldest started driving because then I started to get to sleep in until 5:00. I don't have to drive anyone to school anymore so I sometimes sleep in until 5:30 now. It feels wonderful :D
Were you a teacher for 20 years, or did you switch to substitute teaching after you left your job? Substitute teaching seems like a good way to go. My sister did it for awhile and could've worked pretty much full time but was also able to say no on days that she really wanted or needed to. The downside for her though was that she really needed stability and BENEFITS!

Julie I really enjoy the original Imax. I go back and forth though on whether Imax 1 or 2 is harder. I guess it probably depends on how much I put into it that day! The original does have that extra long warm up in it though so I think that the overall workout is a little shorter.
BM was MUCH more fun than a run! I like BM better than BM2 - at least the cardio part. I like the weight part of BM2 better so sometimes I will do the first 60 minutes of the original BM and then the weights from BM2. They are both a lot of fun though, I just think the warm up goes on too long in BM2. Once I'm past that I'm loving it.
The STP concert was a lot of fun and Scott Weiland seemed to be on good behaviour. He has so much energy, I loved how he struts around the stage and hops up on his little platform. He did have a couple of water bottles filled with 'something' that he kept sipping on, but they put on a great show. We were even home and in bed before 11!

Hi Debbie Hope you'll be back to check in with us soon!

Janie CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I was so happy to see that you had good new for us! That is fantastic. It's so nice to see you so happy and that you even get a nice day to enjoy it! HOORAY!:D:p:):D
Good luck with being a board member  I did it for 2 years and must admit that I was very happy when those 2 years were over. It is a very thankless job, I think you were smart to do it on a trial basis! ;)
How wonderful of your sister to come and support you through the whole ordeal. It is a blessing to have family/friends that we can count on in times like that! Here's hoping for many blue sky days for you and Rolly to enjoy your walks!

It was Muscle Endurance for me today. I just love the ab workout in this one! My bonus burn is always a lot harder on weight days, I couldn't quite make it through all the push ups on my toes. And the push ups in ME were no easier as a result of the bonus burns yet. Hopefully that will come. Have a great day everyone!

Pam

Hello everyone!

I did Body Max today and, man, am I exhausted. I could really use a nap right about now. I am not sure I gave it my all today because I got home an hour late last night (the vanpool I ride in got rear ended which delayed us big time) and then I just didn’t get good sleep at all. Oscar sleeps on the bed with us and he was having puppy dreams last night and shaking the whole bed.

Janie I know I already said it but I am very happy your meeting went well and I wish you luck in being a board member. :D

Pam Good job on Muscle Endurance! Doing the extra pushups after a total body workout is super hard! I did my extra pushups today but again in four sets of 10 with longer rests between. I enjoyed Body Max but I have to say I liked the cardio of BM2 better than the cardio in BM. Of course some of that may be due to the fact that I just felt zapped energy-wise before I even began the workout and therefore couldn’t enjoy it as much. :(

Glad to hear you enjoyed the concert and still had the energy to do your workout today. I may have to keep my ears open for if they come my way. My DH and I are picky on who we spend our money on for concerts but they would be worth it!

Another beautiful day Walking Rolly and will be doing Super Sets in a couple of hours since I just ate. Rolly pooed in the house. Will have to put the leash back on for awhile. He's starting to get it more and more. His body showed remorse when he realized what he had done. Shoot, I wanted to trust him without the leash and went to mail box (takes 5 min.) and he peed.

Went to do an errand yesterday and thought I saw Bert Nicholas (our feuding neighbor) unlocking his gate. I stopped the car to thank him for locking the gate and hoped it was resolved (that his dogs are restrained from coming in our yard) stuck my head out to talk but he kept driving forward. As he passed my vehicle (starring right in front and not acknowledge me) he stopped in front of me, I saw two of his dogs (a fat brown one and a big grey one) in front of us. He told the animals to get into the car. When they did he kept going down the street. I needed to get the mail, so I continued down the road to do that. As he finished getting his mail, I had to walk past him to get mine, and again he stared into space with no acknowledgment of me even being there. He continued to go back to the direction of his home.

I finished up with my errands about an hour and a half and the gate was closed.

I am keeping a detailed log on all the activity that occurs and have my camera ready at all time. I hope with all my heart that his animals won't come on our property. The only thing that needs to be done is to close the gate coming in and out of his property. Is it because it takes too much to go out of the car unlock the gate and go back into the car, drive a few feet, get out and lock the gate again, get back in and then do your business?

Thank you again for all your support, it means a lot to me. Will this ever end?

Pam, Great Job on ME. Expending so much energy and then doing the bonus burns is awesome, and will deplete you of what ever energy you have left. Well done.

I do understand that being a board member is a thankless job, but my reasoning behind this is to have my face out there for Bert to see. He knows he's in the wrong and just being there (I hope) will remind him of his duties towards his neighbors.

There really isn't anything like sisters and dear dear friends to support you in your life's journey. I'm very blessed in that way.

Julie, Great job on BM today, it is an exhausting one, but Oh so worth it. When life happens to you like that your mind is elsewhere and that is normal. You did a good job on your workouts, considering. Was anyone hurt when you all got rear ended? I'm so glad you are OK. Whew!

Your support is so kind, thank you for that. I truly don't know what I got myself into by becoming a board member. I guess it is about to unveil itself.

Take care everyone and have a nice day.

Janie

Pam

Pam: I really wish my husband would find a new doc. He really doesn't care for her either (she was 3 hours late for his last appointment:mad::mad::mad::mad:) and he feels she's just content to write a prescription for whatever ails him. It's very frustrating. And, YES...I think OUR docs are harder on us!!!

I was a designer for 20+ years. I designed high-end kitchens and bathrooms ($100,000 or more for a kitchen and $ $35,000 or more for a bathroom). I loved my job and did very well for those 20+ years. But I have always, for as long as I can remember, had a longing to teach. When the economy went south a few years ago I decided it was time to do what I really feel God was calling me to do. I have to say that I LOVE what I do. I have been working 3 or 4 days a week and can say "no" if they call me at the last minute and I have a hair appointment or just need to clean my house! :) I am fortunate that we have benefits through my husband's employer, so that's not an issue. Truth be told...I'd probably do this for free :p...I end each day feeling as if I've fulfilled a genuine need and done something good!:D

I am subbing for the rest of this week, so this morning, I was up with the birds...4:45 a.m. I did Shock Cardio MMA Boxing and my back felt really good. I will attempt STS Disc 2: Back & Triceps tomorrow and go lighter on the deadlifts. I'm on the sub schedule for every day next week, too, so I'll be up and at 'em early!

Hello to everyone else! Have a great evening! Helen
