Lurkers Invitation For The Holidays

Pam: I thought about a play on words with "HiiT" about an hour after I posted, but then didn't want to give the impression that this thread was all about HiiT. (I do like it, though...the play on words.)

Janie: At the risk of sounding stuck up, I like "Strength in Numbers".

Thanks for all the encouragement about food. I had sort of a moment of clarity this morning for some reason. As I was fixing my breakfast of 5 scrambled egg whites, 1 slice of whole grain toast and 1/4 fresh avocado, I realized that I am doing myself a real disservice by not trying as hard as I can to eliminate all the foods that are holding me back. I am working very hard 6 days a week in my workout room to burn calories, build muscle, stamina and strength. I'm NOT working very hard in the kitchen. I am hampering my own progress by making the conscious decision to have a cookie (or 2) here and there; by having a second spoonful of whatever side dish (healthy or otherwise) is on the table (even when I'm not hungry); by giving in to my popcorn cravings; by not drinking enough water. I am hoping I that moment of clarity doesn't get cloudy!!

We had a good CCC workout this morning. I just wish I could get my daughter moving a little earlier. Guess I won't have to worry about that after Saturday.:( *sniff* It was a good workout...very challenging...especially after yesterday's leg workout. We are both pretty sore.

Moving on with the day...I hope yours is wonderful. :D Helen

Did Athletic Moves today. Jeesh! It was a head band wringer. Love it. I think I'll start doing pushups on the toes today. One at a time per day and see how far that will get me. Thanks for all the inspiration here in this thread.;)

This is what everyone voted on and how many votes so far for each title: Voting twice is OK, right?

It is a tie between "Working It Out" and "Strength In Numbers" so far. We need a vote(s) from Cheryl.

Julie, Great job on CK.

Pam, Maybe we all should put support handles near our toilets! LOL:eek: Great job on Intensity and the awesome pushups on the toes.

Helen, I sabotage my growth with food as well. I started also to do much much better with my portions and other things right after Christmas. It's an eye opener for sure. Very proud of you! Great job you and your daughter did on CCC this morning.

Can't wait to know our new name!

Janie

Well no workout this morning :(. I didn't sleep much last night so I was exhasted all day. I am starting my new job on Monday and I am trying to get things cleaned up at my old job so I think I am overwhelmed at the moment and I can't sleep. To top it off the person I am taking over from tells me that there is a lot for me to do in my first three weeks and she hopes that I won't hate her after she tells me what that "lot for me to do" is . I will find out about that tomorrow.

I hate being a tie breaker........but I think I like the name Strength in Numbers.

Julie I have been getting up early for years to workout too. I don't know why it is so hard. I wake up at 4 a.m. on the weekends with no problem thought don't get out of bed then . I will try again tomorrow. You are lucky the Jason gets up the same time as you that would make it easier. Don't worry you are not the only one who talks to Cathe. I do that all the time. :D

Pam The evening workouts sound like a good idea in the morning when you can't get your butt out of bed but when evening rolls around......not such a good idea. It does feel a lot later when I get home too, ummm aren't the days supposed to be getting longer? That would be nice to fly first class. I have never done it, I am always in coach usually squished between two large people . So did you fail your toilet test?

Helen Your breakfast sounds really good. I think we all have those moments when you eat something even if you aren't hungry or grab something that isn't good for you at all. For me it was that afternoon chocolate bar. I had a craving today but I didn't give in. I don't know about you but now if I do cave in and have my chocolate bar I don't enjoy it or even like it for that matter. I actually feel crappy afterwards so it isn't worth it.

Janie Athletic Step is a good one isn't it. Am I going to be left behind with these push ups. Now I am thinking I have to start . How is Joey feeling? I know things are going around at work. I lot of people are off and there are some who like to share .

Happy Friday everyone.

Cheryl

I did 1 complete push up on my toes tonight. Yeah!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Cheryl, Sounds like your responsibilities on your new job will be a lot. Don't despair, you will do a fantastic job. You'll step up to the challenge like you do, and you will be just fine.:) (((((Hugs to you, get some rest.))))) Joey is doing much better, thank you for asking.

"Strength in Numbers" it is. Since it was Helen's idea, I think the honor goes to her to start our new thread. Congratulations Helen. It's really a great name for us. Thank you.:D

See you all on our new thread tomorrow!

Yay for 1 push up! 1 leads to 2...2 leads to 3.. Great job!

Strength in Numbers...okay. :) I'll try to figure out how to start a new thread:confused:...here goes. See you there!

Because people with oily or acne prone skin often put drying products on, their skin may start to produce more oil to balance it out (yikes!). But using a light moisturizer (like the Shielo AntiAging Moisturizer) can help keep skin in balance and actually cause it to produce less oil over time.
