Little Free Library

Yesterday I was walking through the neighborhood adjacent to the apartment where I live and came across what looked like a large birdhouse on a post near the street in front of one of the houses. On closer inspection, I saw that it was filled with about 30 books and had a sign on it that said "Little Free Library" and "Take a book, leave a book". I selected "Inferno" by Dan Brown, and my DH picked out "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand. Today we're going to take a few of our old books and add them to the cause. Isn't this a great idea? I found a website about it....you can see what the basic concept for the design is....

That is such a wonderful idea! It's so nice to hear about the *good* things in this world (news is always only full of the bad!) so I'm glad you posted it. Sharing books is one of the happiest things I can think of! I live right by a park, I wonder if it's possible to start one of those here. :)

I have several Free Little Libraries in my neighborhood, and you can find some really great books and magazines to read. I always make sure to add new reading materials whenever I take an item from the cute little library.
