Like/review/verify/don't buy check in for 2016- 2024

Belinda, I did P90X the first time and stuck with the lean program throughout. I omitted the protein bars and some higher carb items. I had great results and did not count calories. I have decided I will just follow the measurement system and eat a few things that I don't usually eat but cut back on them in the recipes when I can. On days when I am very hungry when I get up I will eat a snack. That is why I ate the pumpkin energy balls this morning. I don't usually feel that hungry. I went back and looked and I only ate 1349 calories so that is why. The Ice workouts look good. I am sort of sorry I didn't just pre-order like I usually do.

112toguru, the reps are 10 at a staggered 123 pace first set followed with a set that you are do fast enough to see how many reps that you can get out. They are still holding the same weights. I thought it would be better if I could drop weight a bit so I could allow for heavier on the first 10 reps. but that is not how the workout is set. There seems to be some interesting methods here. From what I understand they work more on balance and stamina at first to set you up for other stuff as you move through the program. I have P90X3 , I never did a compete program though. I bought them for the time crunch and not needing too much stuff when we stayed at our daughter's looking for a house after our other home sold more quickly than anticipated. I use the yoga and Pilates workouts the most. I like the Cold Start Warm up which is 12 minutes and sort of separate from the workouts. I have used it for an add on to other workouts.

ICY Core is done too :) I am done for today.

Diane Sue, that's fantastic you stuck with the lean program :) I never followed any programs except 21 DF :) I really like the containers. I hate counting calories or writing/logging everything. When I am I eat :) or I get really cranky :( Those pumpkin energy balls sounds amazing. Would you mind sharing the recipe? PLEASE!! 1349 calories is slow, you workout hard. I feel good around 1500 cal or higher :) So far, I like ICE workouts. Haven't played around with the premixes yet :) I thought Amanda was the modifier in ICE ? There is a lot of high impact and the modifier is doing high impact :( I am glad I been modifying on my own, but some moves I have to came up with my moves. I wished Cedie would be the modifier, she would been great in this series , IMO :)

Nice work bayerngirl, I have yet to do the other ice w/o s but, I did like metabolic TB, and the MM. I got Tracy Anderson's two newest, targeted training bootcamp (3-20 minute segments, abs, hips-thighs & glutes) and cardio dance express, (6 segments of dance cardio). Classic Tracy, and better, dance cardio looks really good. I'm partial though, her method has always been good for me. Last purchase of 2015. (and for most of 2016, what a relief, I already have enough to do!)

yoga warrior 365 the gathering, today, this round I will do all the tips and extras.

Belinda, here is the recipe. I was tempted to throw some vanilla whey into the mix. Someday I will get the stuff and try the ALmond chocolate protein squares. These are under the snacks section of the book. There is a dessert section as well.
Pumpkin Energy Bites
8 servings 2 energy bites each container equivalent 1 purple and 1/2 blue
1 cup pitted dates ( I bought medjool dates and had to pit them)
1/2 cup raw pecan halves or pieces
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes (reserve some for garnish)
1 tsp hazelnut extract or pure maple extract ( I used vanilla)
1 tsp pure maple syrup
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 pinch sea salt or Himalayan salt
1. Put dates in a medium bowl , cover with water. Let soak for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. Place pecans in food processor, pulse until finely ground.
3. Add dates , pumpkin, coconut, extract, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and salt and pulse till well mixed. Place in a medium bowl and refrigerate covered for 30 minutes.
4. Using clean hands , roll into Tablespoon sized balls. This should make 16. Roll in reserved coconut if desired.
5. Store in refrigerator in airtight container.
6. (I don't think this was meant to be here as it says cooking time none. Unless they are referring to chilling them.) Cool completely , divide among 4 servings (this does not make since either since there should be 8 servings here)
I saw someone else post this recipe on Pinterest and it was the same but they were calling a serving size 1 bite. So they had 16 servings/

Thank you so much, Diane Sue!! I am hungry just looking at the recipe. I just bought medjool dates. I will make those this week. Thank you again.

Nice mix of workout :) We can do this....not buying more DVD's in 2016 and use what we already have.

Good evening,

Today I did STS D39 legs and Jessica Smith Walk On 21 Low Impact HiiT walk = 30 and Jessica Smith Yoga Stretch PM: Relaxing Flow = 30 min.

Good night, ladies.

Nice work WD, Total Body Hammer looks good, very tough.
Good job and combination/variety, bayerngirl, always enjoy combining workouts, did quite a lot of that this year.

Only managed yoga body stretch and Deepen Your Practice, Gentle short & sweet yesterday. Today, did Tracy A.'s Dance Cardio Express - Ice Rock'm Sock'm - Tracy A.'s Targeted Training Bootcamp Abs.

Rock'm Sock'm was advanced for me, but I do more jumps then too, it's some thing you could modify up or down, I didn't do everything all out and it was still really good for me, with good intervals, combinations, and transitions. 498 calories in 49 minutes, with a short dance cardio warm up before & ab cool down after. Nice.

Today was Hammer and Chisel Chisel Cardio, 38 minutes, 238 calories. This used weight through most of it. I think she uses 10# through all of the moves except the swings where she uses 25#. She states her weights twice and she only has two lying in front of her. She uses a bench for some of the moves. I used 5 risers each side of my step the first round but second I lowered to 4. 5 was a bit much on the knees. I also did Kelly Coffey Athletic Conditioning workout 2 core and flexibility, 26 minutes, 118 calories. Total time was 64 minutes, calories burned 356. After yesterday's Hammer weights and tomorrow is going to be Max Hammer strength which is a pre-fatigue 60 sec and then 8 reps heavy I am thinking I need more yoga.
Chisel Cardio went like this (pretty much low impact)
2 rounds each the same moves 1 minute each The worksheet has reps for some and weight for others.
Over the top-uses a step and a dumbbell and you go from one side to the other holding the dumbbell with a hop going across(Cathe does this)10#
Pull up - I used tubing reps 25
dumbbell swing- this is the only time she switches to a heavy weight. I used a 25 kettle bell The grip is better to me
figure 8 - done seated with a slight lean back and a dumbbell I used 15 round 1 and 10 round 2
burpee with a jump- 19 round 1 21 round 2
sword pull left- 10# this is a side lunge with a arm raised up and then back to standing
sword pull right 10#
forearm plank kick- 30 reps this is a plank with legs alternating kick out to the side to hit the obliques
side step up kick right 10 #
side step up left 10#

112toguru, that looks like a nice workout combination. I love mixing up workouts.

Belinda, enjoy your cardio today :)

Today was RWH LI Hiit two plus RWH Abs 2. I added on a LWF2 10 minute kettlebell. It felt easy today so next time I need to up my weights.
I'm at my brother's now and he has a full squat rack and barbell set up with a couple kettlebells. I've never worked with kettlebells before but after doing a couple sets of swings and hop-back deadlifts I think I need to invest in a couple. Swings work so much better with the bell IMO!

Dianne Sue- H&C is looking good. How does the "fun factor" rank? Do you think you have fun doing them? Or is Cathe more fun?

Belinda- That is quite the list of DVDs! Looks like a good line up though. Do you do all the premixes on a disc before you consider it done?

Do you all make New Year's resolutions? I've never been into it as I normally try to wait to set goals until after April 15th (tax season- I'm a tax accountant). I find that a better time to actually stick to some type of life change attempt!

Happy New Year Everybody! Here's to making 2016 a great one!

Happy New Year, everyone

I did MMA Kickboxing and Jessica Smith Walk On 21 Day Weight Loss Plan (1 DVD)
3: Tred & Shred walk 30 min today.

dmerz - thanks! Yes, I will do all the premixes before I consider it done :D Cathe's new series has a lot of premixes, lol. Those will take me awhile.

Thanks Diane Sue. Great job on your workout today.

112toGuru, Rock'm Sock'm was advanced for me too. I had to modify some of the jumps :( Good job on H&G today.

Happy New Year, everyone.

dmertz, I am liking Hammer and Chisel. I enjoy different stuff and the change of instructors. Fun to me is more a workout that just makes me feel good. Like Party Rockin Step, Les Mills Combat is fun till you get to the Hiit stuff in the bonus set, then it is work. Don't get me wrong I like the work and the results from it but if I want something just fun there are a few :) Sagi in Hammer and Chisel is himself, makes the funny comments. One was something about running but hoping you don't have the runs. He seems to have a bit of a problem with humor with the female group he is working with in some of these. Autumn can be humorous but she is mostly serious about getting all you can out of the workout and form, really both give quite a few form pointers. Although working hard with someone you enjoy is much nicer than working out with someone you don't care for and you are struggling through tough stuff. I hope that makes sense )
That is nice that you found some equipment to workout with. I love kettlebells I have a 10, 2 15's, 2 20's, 2 25's, 2 31.5's and a 35. I wouldn't have 2 of the 31.5's because of cost but, when the first one arrived it was in a box and wrapped but the box was tore up and the handle was all chipped. I sent them pictures and they sent me another and didn't want the other shipped back. I sanded down the rough spots. I have Amy Ross workouts and Lauren Brooks that use two kettlebells. Also they are nice for suitcase deadlifts and other moves.

Hey to Catgirl :D Happy New Year

Belinda, you are getting through those workouts. It took me awhile to start trying premixes and those mix and matches that Cathe used to have. I like Kelly Coffey for her premixes too.

Hi girls,

I am done with STS D33 + Jessica Smith Walk On 21 Day- Strike, Stretch & Relax 30 min and Jessica Smith Yoga Stretch
-AM: Energizing Flow = 30 min :)

Diane Sue - I am trying to get through those workouts :) I do like KCM, but sometimes her form looks a little off. Maybe it's just me? I do like her kickboxing workouts, those are fun.

Happy New Year, everyone.

Happy New Year everyone. I tivo'd, like I do every year. Celebrated with Kathy & Anderson this morning, love watching her make him giggle.

Tracy Anderson cardio on the rebounder & Meta Glute. Using up the dvds I already have.

I don't know what you're talking about bayerngirl, I'm not doing that program. I'm wingin' it for 2016, it's been working pretty good for me the past few months. I have a couple paper programs & simple routines to fill it out.

Today was Max Hammer Strength, 38 minutes, 262 calories. I followed it with 15 minute leg hammer from the deluxe set which uses a medicine ball throughout, 19 minutes, 134 calories.

15 minute leg hammer This got the heart rate up :)
3.5 min w/u, uses med ball squat, side lunge, burpee to standing,
all moves are doe for 60 seconds 20 slow, 20, med, 20 fast They use 8# med ball I wasn't sure at first so I started out with 15 and soon found fast at 15# was not the best thing
squat press 15#
side lunge left 10#
side lunge right 10#
sumo twist 10#
1 leg deadlift to knee crunch 10# (terribly hard to stay balanced, next time I use 8)

1:48 minute stretch

Belinda, I think that over the years Kelly Coffey's workouts have improved. She is looking in great shape too :) I hear that about different instructors. That is not good for people new to fitness but I just try to do it right. I do like how Sagi straightens his crew out on their form. Autumn does too in these new workouts.

I saw that Kelly Coffey is having a sale for 9.99 per workout and free shipping not including the two new workouts :p I have most of hers.
