Hi Everyone!

I sure do miss being on the forums. As you heard filming was completed last night and now comes the daily grind of editing (which has already been underway actually). We will be editing at NFL today but I was hoping to get a "catch up" chat in with all of you before I leave to do that. I will be online from 11am to 12 noon. Please join me if you can and fill me in on your latest and greatest....I miss everyone :7 I'll try to answer as many questions as you have too.

See you soon!

Cathe

Congrats on finishing filming. I'm sure everybody is excited that another step in the process is done.

Hello! I won't be around during the chat, but I'm hoping you'll have a minute to answer this question that I also posted on the pregnancy forum.

Is it generally more difficult to build (even slightly) or maintain muscle mass and definition during pregnancy? I'm still lifting the same amount of weights, but it feels like my arms are back to long and skrawny. Is it possible that I'm having a more difficult time due to the baby needing more of my carbs/protein, leaving less for my muscles? If that's not the case, maybe I'm just having a difficult time coming back from my few weeks of light weight lifting back in February? Or...maybe I'm just not working as hard as I thought?! x( At least I'll have the STS waiting for me post-pregnancy. :)

I had been doing PUB 1x/week and usually GS for arms 1x/week (so arms 2x/week and chest/back 1x/week).

TIA!

Cathe,

Congratulations on the completion of STS!! I'm so excited about this, I cannot tell you how thrilled I am! I've been stalking your blog from the beginning and my excitement has grown with every picture you posted. STS is my birthday present to myself http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/happy057.gif

Thank you!!!

P.S. It will be wonderful to have you back on the forums!

Welcome Back, Cathe!!!!

Cathe:

Welcome back to the forums! :) I have missed you too! I posted a thread for you last night and will be meeting with clients during your chat, but I want to send you a Heather hug! :* Are you excited? I am! :7 Were the guys able to keep up with you? ;-) LOL! :7

I do have a quick question for you. I want to buy a weighted vest and love the look of the one you are wearing. It appears that it only weighs 10 pounds, and I need 20 pounds. Could I combine it with a belt that weighs 10 pounds? This one will shrink with me as my waist gets smaller and converts to ankle weights:

Will we need to chose either the plyo leg workout or the bonus workout and stick with it for all 4 weeks of the third mesocycle, or can we use a combination of both? I was not expecting to be interested in the bonus workout, but both options look good! :)

Have a blessed week, and happy editing! :) I am looking forward to reading all the fun and exciting details when you have time to share! :7

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hey Cathe,

Nice work with the newest mega project. I keep thinking about how much planning must have gone into this STS project.

I have 1 big compliment, then a rather silly question:

I have to say that you are a very shrewd business woman clearly listening (and reading) for a long time to your customers, what they were saying and what they were finding exciting and what they NEEDED. You deserve all the succes that comes your way for understanding your customers.

Now, how come you haven't showed us your ripped core in your last 2 projects!! x(

Best,
X

Congratulations on the completion of the filming process!!! You all must be excited, we certainly are. http://bestsmileys.com/cheering/3.gif

The weighted vest that you wore, was that 10lbs? Will you be offering them in different amount of weights? Will they be available before STS is shipped?

Good Morning Cathe! Wow, what a fun treat to see you here this morning. We have missed you so much but cannot wait for STS. It has me more excited then ANY other series I have of yours and each & every one of THEM are my favs! :7 I hope you had a good time working out with me this morning doing 4DS + PS Back...you worked REALLY HARD! Ha! One question, how did you all keep smiles on your face the whole time during filming with all that weight? AMAZING! You look more healthy & beautiful with each series. Thanks for sharing your talent with us all. HUGS! (Came back to say that I hope you used DB Pullovers in STS! I love that move!)

I'm In!

I just finished my class and grabbed a cup of coffee. Ahhhh, I'm set :)

Anybody here???? I'll start answering some questions I already see :7

RE: I'm In!

Hi Cathe! Congratulations on finishing filming. Looking forward to STS..

I have a question about overhead triceps…Do you get the same results when you hold the dumbbell on either end as you do from holding it with both hands on one end? I find it a little more comfortable holding it with one hand on either end..

Also, I have been following your monthly rotations and have really enjoyed them. My legs are screaming after completing week 1 of April’s rotation..

Thanks for all your hard work. I have really seen a difference in my body’s development since I started using your programs..

Thanks…

Good morning to everyone (although it's 6 pm here in Athens, Greece)!!!

Cathe, taking time to chat with us is so great!!!

I really don't have questions set in my head yet, and to tell you the truth, I usually don't want too many details on something I am really looking forward to... it would spoil the surprise!!! Still, I am pretty sure (judging from my experience with your other DVDs and the research you put into this project) that STS will not only be an effective program, but it would be great fun!!!!

For the past few months I have been "killing" my upper body (my legs are too strong in comparison) so I can handle the tough stuff you'll put us through for 3 months!!!

Chris.:)

Oooooops!!! Coffee!! Gotta get one, too!!!

Cathe,

Thanks for sharing with us the photos of the making of STS! It's kept me sane! Can't wait until my doorbell rings and I peek out and notice the smiling UPS man with my package!

Thanks for all you do! Have a great day!

Cathe, I just want to tell you how fabulous you all look in all the blog photos. These have me so excited about STS. I was on the fence for awhile about ordering, but I'm so glad I did. I can't wait to get these! I was also curious about the weight of the weighted vest.

Thanks so much Allison! You're sweet. It is SO good to be finished filming. Don't get me wrong, filming was great and everything went really well but it was long and it is definitely time to get back to my normal schedule. Nice to see you here. Thanks for popping in. Take Care!

Good Morning Cathe!!
I just wanted to thank you for reshaping my body - you have made me stronger and leaner I am grateful for that!! I cannot wait for the STS series to come out - the pictures look amazing!
I hope you are enjoying some 'me time' after all of the hard work you and your crew have been doing.

Another grateful Cathe fan!!!

Hey Cathe :) No question just wanted to say HUGE thanks for keeping me in shape this winter...had my first outdoor run this a.m. and was thrilled that my cardio capacity is almost what it was when I took a hiatus from running in January. Your 'love to hate 'em, kick butt' intervals, kickbox and step workouts kept my heart a thumpin'. Thanks...Cheers!!
I am PUMPED for STS!!!

Take Care
Laurie:)

Ooooookay!!! Got my coffee and a question popped to mind!!!

For how many different exercises would you say we'd need to calculate our 1 Rep-Max?

E.G. When we calculate the 1RM for biceps curls would we need to do it for let's say hammer curls or isolation curls?

Chris.

RE: I'm In!

Hi Kathy! So great to hear that the rotations have brought you good results. Yahhhhh :)

As far as hand grip for triceps, they both work well. Due to the nature of the grip, you may eventually be limited with how heavy you can go with your hands on each end of the dumbbell.... but if you are able to lift it well right now, do it. One other thing you might notice is that you get a little more stretch in the long head of the tricep muscle by holding one end with both hands in a vertical position because range of motion of the shoulder in that position. But that slightly increased stretch is not enough to pick one method over the other. They both work well and my best advise is to use both methods to keep variety in your workout program.

Have Fun!
