Led Zeppelin fans

Another "Oldster" here, saw them live after album 3, the"Immigrant Song"

Valhalla, I am coming..."

Another blast from the past according to the bands website look for a new ACDC album in 2008. Heavy Metal is coming back to stay...

When my husband and I got married, he insisted our first song be "Thank You". It was actually really pretty. We just bought the new CD with Allison Krauss and Robert Plant and I can't stand it. I guess I'm not a bluegrass girl. But love Led Zeppelin!

Well, I'm a bit young for it, but I love that whole era of music and Led Zeppelin is one of my all-time favorite bands. My favorite Zepp song is "The Lemon Song". Not even sure why but I love that one. Listening to it right now.

We just moved from London a little over a year ago, so I was wishing we were still there to go to the concert, but of course we probably wouldn't have been able to get tickets anyway.

You are never too young! My favorite music comes from an era where I wasn't even a thought (the sixties). So enjoy the Lemon Song (you naughty girl) and be safe in the knowledge that many much younger than you are picking up on the same groovacious hits.

Travelling Riverside Blues is another Zep song that utilizes the the lemon metaphor. Hee. I like that one better than the Lemon Song.

But truthfully, Laura, aren't you glad he didn't choke on someone else's vomit? (I've always loved the phrase "choke on his own vomit" - I think "choke on vomit" is plenty descriptive enough.)

Radiohead? Who said Radiohead? We have every CD on our computer. Definitely one of my favorites, but no comparison to Led Zeppelin. They have a new CD coming out soon:)

But in response to the post, if I had to choose, The Rain Song is my all time favorite.

Another Led Zep fan here from the 70's. My favorite is Going to California! I used to picture myself as "Flower Child" running around bare-footed in a long flowing white dress and a ring of flowers in my hair while listening to this song. I guess I wanted to be a hippie minus the drugs.

Gin:)

I love Led Zeppelin! I never saw them in concert, but I did see Robert Plant in concert in '85 when he was part of The Honeydrippers. That was so long ago, I can't remember if he played any Zeppelin songs or not.

I thought Robert Plant was hot also and had a poster of him in my dorm room in college. My poor roommate hated it!

I can't pick a tune - I think I love them all. My first album was In Through the Out Door. A good friend of mine was a big fan and thought that was a good one to start with. I eventually got them all! :D

Oh man, Led Zeppelin brings back so many memories. Houses of the Holy, one of my favorite LZ albums, was released towards the end of my senior year in high school. My favorite tracks on that album were Over the Hills and Far Away, Dancing Days, and The Ocean.

Other random LZ favorites include:

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Rock and Roll
Black Mountain side
What is and What Should Never Be
Ramble On

There are many more but I have to say, my interest in LZ declined after Houses of the Holy.

Me too. Remember playing Stairway to Heaven backwards???? How funny. I, too, was going to get to see Led Zeppelin before the cancellation. They are my favorite. That quiz stink - so wrong for me -I got the Stairway to Heaven bit too. Who remembers Coda - not may fav album but I did like Darlene.

I have too many favorites to name them all. Here are some of the tops.

Love That's The Way,Tangerine off of LZ III.
Houses of the Holy, Down By the Seaside, In My Time of Dying, Black Country Woman off of Physical Graffiti
Dyer Maker, The Crunger, The Rain Song off of Houses of the Holy
Fool in the Rain, All of My Love off off In Through the Outoddor and many, many, many more

I think I know every lyric to every song!

Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS!!!! I love this song!!!

Weird, I was just about to put "Mothership" into my CD player before reading this thread.

I love Robert Plant. My favorite song by Zep is "Baby I'm Gonna Leave You" and my favorite from solo Plant is "Heaven Knows".

I seen takes of the concert he did in London (I think) and just wanted to be there so bad. Looked like a great concert!
