Laura & Nancy meet at last!

I've been trying to convince Fancy Nancy to meet up with me for some time now since we live relatively close, & we finally connected on Friday........sadly, in midtown Manhattan in the pouring rain. BUT we did make the best of things, & ended up having a fabulous time with Nancy, and Tracey who came from CT to join us.

So it was a soggy day but we took a little cruise to see the manmade waterfall exhibit. Unfortunately the skipper was a bit inexperienced & I think we circled about a dozen times before docking, which left us all a bit queasy.

Not queasy enough to prevent us from pigging out at dinner though, which was unquestionably the best part of the trip.

Nancy is an absolute delight--totally gorgeous, amazingly intelligent, lots 'o fun & a sweetheart all rolled into one. And I'm still a bit freaked about how much alike we are--she could be my big sister!

It is fun, isn't it, to meet another member??! Tanya (JTLane) and I met up a few weeks ago, and are going to get together again soon. I would have liked her if I randomly met her, which is so nice. Add to that the fact that we have this in common (seriously working out), and it is beyond great. I have friends who walk sometimes but nobody who shares my passion for a hardcore workout...regularly! I already consider her a good friend. Glad that you got to share a similar experience (and in NY, no less!) Thanks for sharing

For those who are wondering what Lauramax is REALLY like, here's the scoop: She's sweet, super bright and witty. And she's even prettier than her pictures, has great guns and is as chic as they come. And yes, I must admit that I see the resemblance, although it's a great compliment to me to be told I'm in any way like Laura. I'd be proud to be her "big" (as in older, as we're exactly the same size ) sister.

Thanks to all who posted for your kind comments. As some have mentioned, I highly recommend meeting other Catheites. Every single meeting I've had has been a wonderful experience!
