KP&C DVD Problems

My Kick, Punch and Crunch DVD is unusable!!! I have tried it in three different players so I don't want to blame the players but SNM (pre-BB) posted that they rarely see problems with the DVD's themselves. Usually, I wouldn't post about a problem like this (I have already written to Customer Service) but:

1) I am very anxious to buy a new DVD player and I don't want to buy one until I am positive that all my DVD's are working. I will only have a month trial period for my player and I don't want to spend the month deciding if a problem has to do with the DVD or the player.

2) There might be a Catheite who can help me diagnose and/or solve my problem.

3) I wrote to another Catheite who posted about the same problem and she hasn't gotten a satisfactory resolution. I'd hate for people to give up on their DVD's thinking that they're the only one with a problem.

Please know that I am not slamming Cathe or SNM. I have always gotten outstanding service from them. I am just looking to get a working KP&C as quickly as possible.

This is the note that I sent to SNM:

SNM,

I am having major problems with my Kick, Punch and Crunch DVD. Please help me diagnose and find a solution. These are the facts so far:

1) On my Toshiba player, I have done Supersets (except for core), most of Push & Pull, the first two sections of Step Blast and all of Step, Pump and Jump (except for core) with no problems at all (except for some of the "sticking" which the message boards have called normal). I have all of Cathe's other DVD's too and have yet to find a problem except for the known "Abs Hits" issue which you resolved.

2) On my boyfriend's Sony player, I played through all of Kick, Punch and Crunch with no problems until it "stuck" in the third punching and kicking combination. After that, I could not get the DVD to work again. We would skip to different chapters and it would "stick" or play erratically with goofy squares scrambling across the screen.

3) On my Toshiba DVD player, I can't get KP&C to progress past the "sound" screen (i.e., where you pick "normal" or "vocal only" or whatever). If I try to pick by chapter, it sticks there too. If by fluke, I manage to get it to a KP&C track, it does the sticking-with-the-scrambled-squares thing.

4) We cleaned the DVD with a Skip Doctor and tried it on my brother's laptop. It would not play at all.

5) We stuck it back in my Toshiba with the same results as before. I started Legs & Glutes and that started out fine but later it started sticking-with-the-scrambled-squares thing. Although it's not as bad as KP&C, it's still unacceptable.

Please help me figure out if the problem is the DVD, the players (all three) or something else.

I am in the market for a new DVD player (strictly because I want one that will program across discs for my Cathe workouts). I am currently planning on getting a Sony model recommended by Crutchfields after I sent them a description of your DVD technology.

My dilemma is that Crutchfields has a 30 day return policy. I want to be sure I have all good DVD's with which to test the player to ensure that it is "Cathe compatible".

Please help!!!!! Thanks!

Shelley

Good luck! I have a Toshiba DVD player myself and all the DVDs work fine. I just finished doing Kick Punch and Crunch. (It's a DVD/VCR combo player)

Ohhh they might replace it ... BUT MY NEW ONE STILL DOESNT WORK!
I have all 4 DVD's (the other 3 work fine) there is something in the Legs DVD that isnt right
and that is REALLY THE ONLY REASON WHY I BOUGHT THE SET !!
