It's Hump Day MELTERS!

Tneah - I was reading your posts from the RT forum. OMG - I absolutely LOVE Monica Brant. She is amazing. I also loved Cory Everson when she hit the scene too and Rachel McLish. I saw you said your bodybuilding days, did you compete?

WOW, you guys, you are in much better shape than I am, I though Mr. Sand Dunes was challenging, I just watched that video, and am not sure my lower back will allow such nonsense. I am skeered.
And Pegsters? 25 pounds? I use my 15 and have on rare occasions used a 20 but thats it, although I have only done 4 kettlebell workouts total, so maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself huh?

Kristi darling, still on the wagon? You know why its so difficult here on the boat? Everyone around us is on vacation and drinking, having fun, so there is this air of celebration all the time, you want to relax with a drink on your boat at the end of the day, you know what I mean? I have been slurping down my favorite herbal teas instead though, and already I can tell the difference in my abs. When I drink I retain water there.

I ran a bit with Grace today--I did phase 3 at the joggers level and some of phase 2...yeah me (I think). I used the itrain 60 minute #4...BTW, the music bites in this one, I hated it actually, but once you start the dang workout, you cannot really stop right? It did have quite a few hills too, so those of you that hate hills, this ain't gonna cut it for you.:p

BG, I thought Trainerman was a little over the top about his disdain for aspartame, so ignored his rants about it.I chewed sugarless gum like a mad woman, because cutting the sugar totally out of my diet was the hardest thing for me to do, it wasn't the exercise, or fitting in the meals for me, it was the sugar. Sugar makes me happy, makes me smile, makes me a nice person and gives me energy. :D In fact I got quite creative with my sugar free no carb self, I ordered a bunch of products from Walden Farms...no calories, no carbs, no nothin'. Believe me, at one point, they tasted like manna from the heavens above. Today? I cannot stomach the stuff. I hate cottage cheese too.

Lainie bug, sorry to hear AF is hanging around, that totally sucks. If it were me, I would literally have to cancel my trip, I simply cannot leave the house for the first two days.

Oh you RT'ers are gonna have so much fun, I am so happy for you all! Please take too many pictures and post them right away when you return!

Gotta go feed the pup..having a pretty good eating day...breakfast was a protein deal, I just mix the powder with a little water to create a pudding and eat it up--BG, take note of that, it might be a nice solution to your mixing at work problemo.
Next I had three rice cakes and a serving of egg beaters...snack was two handfuls of mini-rice cakes, I know, I love them...lunch was chicken breast kabobs with red peppers, I did dip into the BBQ sauce here--not so good...dinner will be a large salad with broccoli and some orange roughey.

BG, one more thing. Not sure if you knew this, but you weigh your protein source after you cook it, not before, it loses two ounces in the cooking process...it was a question I remember having...

Peggy, yep, back in the day, 1996 or something, let me see if I can post my competition pic!

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj39/tneah/Family%20Pictures/TStrobel6.jpg

For those of you who have already had to see this my profuse apologies, I obviously have one of those "glory days" complexes. Actually though, I am pretty friggin proud of this since it about killed me to do it. Do not laugh at the hair please.;)

Well, you will have to click on it, because obviously I still haven't learned how to post a picture despite Lainie bugs best efforts to teach me.

OMG Tneah - You look familiar. Were you ever in M&F or MuscleMag or Flex or any of those. I was such a fan of bodybuilding and always wanted to do it, but just never did. I put on muscle rather easily, but just never pursued it.
You Rock Woman!!!

Hey chicas,,

Nope, never graced the pages of those mags, I did only one competition and that was it, never pursued it after that...never did drugs, and you literally had to especially back then in order to compete with the big girls, so that was that.;) I trained for 9 months (dieted down) it was sheer hell, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but I had something to prove I think, and I did.

Trainerman wanted me to start doing figure competitions after I completed my program with him, but couldn't do it, my DH was adamant I didn't and that would have been hard not having his support and all. Its just too emotionally draining for me, and I become totally obsessed.

Anyhoo, got Providence today, will do it tomorrow, I wear shoes, do you guys go barefoot? Also, I cannot squat as low as they go either because of my hip replacement. But all in all, I am just so in love with these workouts and hope they start helping me lean out a little, am curious what effect they will eventually have on my body.

Oh my GOODNESS! Would you look at that crazy man Anthony!! He's a maniac, I tell you, an absolute MANIAC!

Peggie -- LOL about your ride situation tomorrow! I'm sure you and Kara will make it just fine! If not, we'll send out a search party for you!

Lainie -- That is soooo cute that you added us to Cathe's team! I love it! Sorry that Aunt Flo is here! Hopefully things will kick in so she leaves right away!

Breckie -- Well, BIL is not quite out of Dodge yet, but hopefully he will be soon! I took a photo of the bracelet, but I'm too antsy today to try to post it. Can I do it for sure when I get back? That sounds like a great idea to sit down and plan everything out when you have more time.

Tneah -- Hey, chica! I know what you mean about that party atmosphere down on the water. It seems like whenever we're down there during the summer, everyone is out on their boats, drinking and having a good time. Hooray for your super good eating today! Great idea about the tea instead of wine! I started drinking a glass of Crystal Light with dinner to cut out wine (which I really only had maybe twice a week), but need to cut that out, too, b/c of the whole aspartame thing. Why can't food be easier?? I just LOVE that photo of you! You look so amazing in it, and you darn well SHOULD be proud of all the hard work it took to get there! ETA: We were posting at the same time! Hoe you enjoy Newport tomorrow! It really is a fun challenge! I usually wear my regular aerobic shoes for my KB workouts, but I'd been reading stuff on-line about getting flat, Adidas-type shoes or going barefoot. The barefoot thing scares me (ouch!), but I may pick up some Adidas shoes soon. Although you would have done so well doing competitions again with Mr. Trainer, I'm so glad that you didn't! It would have been so much stress and anxierty for you! We want you happy and healthy! {{{HUGS}}}!

OK, so I think that everything is fitting in my carry-on and gym bag, but they sure are stuffed! I ended up digging out ziploc bags that suck all the air out of things, and put my clothes in them, so I'll probably be wrinkled-looking all weekend. Ah well! :p

WOWY ZOWY TNEAH! You are more amazing every single second. That's absolutely incredible, woman! I'm going to print that out and photoshop my head on it. Then Mr. Trainerman will go, "DANG, my program works guuuud!"

Hugs and kishies to all the RTers! We'll miss you.

So Tneah and Leanne - why not put your tea or Crystal light into a wine glass? Maybe you'll feel a little more speshul drinking it... either that or you'll feel completely idiotic... Just a thought.

:D

Sorry, can't post long... must go eat... again.

Hi to everyone!!! *talking with mouth full* Love you gals!!!

Oh Kara - never tried LaCroix. Sounds fancy! :) I am to drink a minimum of 3 L of water per day, but preferably 4. And NO, that van has no bathroom. A bit inconvenient, but when I really think about it, I'm glad it doesn't. I work with all boys. Nuff said.

I just say, "um, can we stop?" as in... "NOW???"

Just wanted to pop back in and tell our RT gals we will miss you and of course safe travels! Plus, we will be expecting pictures, and the whole scoop on Cathe and the gals...take care, have fun!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Hey, Tneah, I'll still be here tomorrow. Don't send me off yet. :p But yeah, you're right, I guess the rest of the Melty RTers will be gone tomorrow. Have a safe and easy trip, gals!

I agree with Tneah -- sending loads of safe travel vibes to you all! You will have a blast! Big {{{{HUGS}}}}!!!:D:D:D:D:D

Hey Kittens

Just wanted to pop in and say so long for the weekend. I have butterflies in my stomach. I am so excited, yet nervous all at the same time.

Tneah - you looked fab in that picture. I know they all did drugs and stuff. What a horrible message. You were very symmetrical and I bet you still are.

Breck - too funny. Photoshopping your head on Tneah's body. I love it.

Kara and Leanne - Can't wait to meet you tomorrow.

Lainie - Can't wait to meet you Friday.

Will miss everyone this weekend.

Hugs and smooches.
