It just isn't fall until...........

I have my Yankee pumpkin spice candle burning in my LR, & my Dunkin Donuts pumpkin spice coffee brewing in my kitchen.

I wasn't gonna mention the pumpkin glazed donuts I have on top of my fridge, but in the interest of full disclosure.............;):p

I really love the scent of pumpkin this time of year, & also the smell of fires burning in fireplaces (I always had a wood burning fireplace until I moved back to NJ & I miss it so much!).

What reminds you most of fall?

There's Christmas decorations in the mall. Just kidding

It just isn't fall until I can put my comfy sweatshirt on and keep it on all day. Not take it off because it went up to 75 at noon, now I need short sleeves, which I put away last week because they said it was fall!!!:eek::eek:
elliemom

Dang-it Laura:mad: Now I'm hungry!

Dunkin Donuts coffee rules! We have it auto shipped every month.

I have candy corn candles burning.:)

I start raking... and raking and raking and raking. I usually end up with about 50+ huge yard waste bags of leaves. Thank goodness it's not a fruiting year for my black Walnut.

I love fall! Fall to me means visiting pumpkin patches with the kids, making pumpkin muffins and pumpkin fluff (I know, sounds weird but it's GOOD).

Pumpkin fluff? OMG, is this what I think it is? Ummmm, I have canned pumpkin at home & I can get my hands on a jar of Fluff by 8:00 pm. Do I need anything else?

Boo-hoo

Sadly, fall is already over here in the Yukon. The season is so short. Our leaves change color in August and our down before the first day of Fall on the calendar :(

I have already picked heaps and heaps of cranberries and baked tons of muffins, bread and squares. I also love the pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks (fat-free of course!)

It is almost time to break out the winter wear!

Laura

when I was in college

I used to (while acquiring the thigh fat I'm fighting now) get pumpkin milk shakes and something called a chicken ring, its like a onion ring only its chicken, and that was my favorite food when I was up there in Humboldt. Yummo. So bad for my body. lol.

the trees turn to all the colors i love.....they start selling the pumpkin spice lattes at the coffee houses.....the smell of cinnamon everywhere....burning leaves in the backyard.....the incredible variety of apples at the apple barns.....the beginning of snow.....

now i am in a good mood!!

I knew it was fall when I put the flannels on the bad last weekend.:mad:

DH says to me this a.m. it's time to get out the down comforter:mad::mad:

I must say though there is nothing better than sitting in front of a fire with a cup of hot chocolate and blanket over my lap and reading a good book.

I also put our flannels on over the weekend, they felt sssooo good!!! The crispness in the air! The smells too! I am also a Yankee fan!! Candles that is. I usually don't burn through the summer so when I start burning I know it's fall!!

Got any of those donuts left Laura? YUMMY!! :p Oh wait I'm in damage control from my weekend affair with the dessert table. :(

Man I wish we had Dunkin Donuts around here - I'm stuck w/ Krispy Kreme and that glaze makes my stomach hurt.

I love those pumpkin muffins when I ever get a chance to find a Dunkin Donuts.

What reminds me most of fall is seeing those caramel apples on a stick.

It's not fall until I have a kitchen full of fresh apples! I love, love, love em! But I'm such a brat that I refuse to eat them any other time of year except for fall. I wait all year for apple season when I can go to the farm down the street and get fresh, just-picked Macouns. YUM!

Oh, and I also love the cool nights where I snuggle under my comforter in my pj's.

And bring on the pumpkin-spice lattes from Starbucks! YUMMY!

I love the pumpkin spice Yankee candle....just bought a new one this weekend! I don't have fall here in Florida but what I miss is the leave changing and the cool nip in the air and wearing a comfy sweathirt and sweatpants

I love Pumpkin anything too!
AND Macoun Apples... I've bought a bag from the orchard every week for the last 3 weeks..
I love cooking and eating soups and chili's and stews...
I love the crisp sunny Fall days with the full bloom of foliage in New England. It is almost an eye overload to see such brilliant big colors every where you turn!

And for the "Pumpkin Fluff" question, I think THIS may be what it is:

Pumpkin Fluff

POINTS® Value | 1
Servings | 4

desserts | From WW Message Boards

Ingredients

15 oz Libby's Solid Pack Pumpkin
1 cup fat-free whipped topping
4 serving fat-free sugar-free instant vanilla pudding & pie filling mix
1 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice
1/8 cup McNeil Nutritionals SPLENDA No Calorie Sweetener

Instructions

1. Combine 1 can pure pumpkin, 1 Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice, 2 Tbsp. Splenda
Granular (or sugar) in a small bowl. Mix well.
2. Add 1 small box fat-free, sugar free instant vanilla OR butterscotch OR white
chocolate DRY pudding mix.
3. Fold in 1 cup fat-free whipped topping.

And I discovered THIS recipe recently, that I've made twice, and swear I'm eating the filling of a pumpkin pie:

Wayne's Pumpkin Smash
Per Serving: 1 Piece: 65 calories, <0.5g Fat, 81mg Sodium, 12g carbs, 1g fiber, 5g Protein

Ingredients:
One 15-oz. Can Pure pumpkin
One 12-oz. can evaporated fat free milk
1/2C Fat free liquid egg substitute
3/4 C splenda (granulated) (I buy the Walmart brand, cheaper!!)
2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients. Mix well.
Place mixture in a baking dish and bake in the oven for 45 minutes.

Once ready to serve (it's delicious eaten hot or cold), cut into 9 pieces.

Chris, yep that's it! I don't add the splenda though. Hope this helps Laura! It is reeeeeaaaally good. I always say, it's a VEGGIE for god's sake and it tastes like dessert! Heaven. Why can't all veggies taste like dessert? Hmm, perhaps a topic for another thread. Enjoy!

It's fall when I switch from iced coffees to hot coffee's at Starbucks. And yes, I go for the pumpkin spice latte. I don't have a Dunkin' Donuts here either. Thank goodness the Krispy Creme store is 30 miles away! ;)
