Imax2 #9

What do you guys think of this interval. Has anyone else noticed that the step portion is all one sided? I think the fun song is the only thing that gets me through the interval. My legs want a nap after that. I never want to do #10 but I do. }( . I really love this series. I wonder if Cathe worries about how she will top it:) The core work is just so great.
 
My favorite thing about this interval is right before it starts: I love how (as you're completing the "cool down" from interval 8) the music builds and builds and builds and she's telling you to get ready and how much she needs your energy and then the music takes off and the step portion starts! It's like even the music is saying "Be Prepared for this one!"

The first two times I did it the step portion threw me for a loop - I wasn't used to everything going from one end of the step. I had to realize that the left-foot leading shuffle actually went down the outside of the board. I'm good now but I have to think about it while I'm doing it.

I agree, #10 is really hard to do after #9...and I love how she says it will be easier since we're tired, ha! I just have to keep saying, "this is the end, this is the end, just make it through and you're done!"

It's still fun though!

Yes, Cathe starts the shuffle in #9 Interval on the inside of the step then she goes to the outside - so you do alternate sides. It took me a couple of times of doing this video to get that one. I kept thinking why am I on only one side. Cathe moves so fast on that one I had to stop to watch her to see what I was doing wrong!.

The choreography is IMax 2 took me longer to learn than IMax 1....I have to make sure that I have plenty of room around my step for #9!!!
It's a tough one that's for sure!!!! But in a fun way, of course! LOL!
Sometimes I do cheat a little on the plie jumps and don't jump too high....so then, I pretend that Cathe is watching so that I try my hardest!
 
I'm an all out IMAX fan and I have to agree with Mikie, the way the music builds is sooooo perfect for I-#9. I get this energy blast just from the music!!! And once you get the shuffle thing....it is even and you'll really enjoy it!!!

I just noticed this! I had to replay it a few times to see that she was definitely changing legs on the shuffle. But that ricochet-kind-of-move she does seems to be always on the right leg.

Hell, maybe she switches on that, too. She moves so fast I can hardly keep up!

The music is really, really, REALLY good on Imax2. Cathe coordinated everything PERFECTLY. I think this is my favorite of the Intensity Series, although the Pyramids are a close 2nd and 3rd.
 
OH MY GOD, I have done that tape like 5 times now and never caught on she switched legs. I do not really watch the TV while I am doing it because i am trying to focus on getting in to the workout. I will have to watch it when I get home. That is too funny. Thanks guys! Everyone has been talking about Imax being easir now so I think I will try that one this week in place of Imax2. I am doing to total body blast rotation. I love it. Anyone else getting good results?
 
I finally realized she switched legs the 2nd or 3rd time I did this tape! Interval 9 is probably one of my favorites! Susan
