Hi Reese! You will use Shock Cardio along with STS. You can do an STS one day and a shock cardio the next, etc. I will write out a suggested rotation for you too. Enjoy!


Being that the STS is to build strength and muscle, is STS cardio to be used after the muscle training STS is over in order to keep those muscles "shocked" with something new?

Hi Livviesmom! Light stretching, a warm bath with epsom salt, and a couple of ibprofen (twice a day) for one to two days.


Hi Cathy, I have to first say you are the best. I just love your DVDs. I have a question regarding muscle soreness. I did Legs and Glutes yesterday and my legs are killing me today (in a good way). What is the best way to relieve muscle soreness.

I just wanted to thank you for kicking my butt for the past 2 1/2 years! I got married on August 15th of this year. I think most women are stressed and then the fear and dread set in for getting in shape for this once in a lifetime day. I can honestly tell you I enjoyed every minute of it. Especially the working out part. I looked forward to hearing you tell me not to cheat, keep going, jump higher, it was what I needed to stay on track. Every time I tried my wedding dress on prior to the big day, I was giddy with excitement because the workout results showed.

On my wedding day, one of our guests asked me if I worked out. I said yes, he said "Sure looks like it. I noticed your arms." I was already over the moon with giddiness with the wedding, but to get a compliment like that after all the hard work and time I put into it, it was AWESOME!!

It is an amazing/exhilarating to feel so healthy and strong. I love the strong part! My husband (hee hee, I love saying that) teases me about flexing for him. I pretend to be bothered, but love doing it!!

I am now looking forward to getting pregnant and continuing my workouts, modifed of course.

Hi Tricia! Trying doing more of what you don't like...lol. Many times the things we don't want to do are just what the body needs to shock it. I'm not saying to do this everyday (exercise definitely needs to be fun too) but a couple of times a week, go different, longer, harder, etc. Shock cardio will also offer you the variety you have been waiting for. Not too much longer :D

Did the coffee thing earlier today! At work and nothing to do right now. Looks like it's going to be a long day today! At least it's Friday! Have to look on the bright side, right? Sign of the economic times in the legal business - especially real estate!

Anyway, going on vacation soon for a few days. Hitting the wine country in California! Can't wait! My birthday is coming up and I'm really hoping for STS! The STS Tower would be a nice add-on, but I'll be happy with STS! Have reached my goal weight! Yea!!! Any advice on how to stay there would be appreciated! That has always been my problem! I can get the weight off, with a lot of hard work, but can never seem to keep it off. I've been doing mostly cardio, running lately. A couple of SS runs, then interval, with the occasional weight workout thrown in - and I do mean occasional! Once every few weeks or so. Any tips?

Anything wrong with the Workout Manager all of a sudden? I just went to update my w/o for today and All of my STS w/os are not appearing. I went back just to Aug and they're not there anymore. I'm currently doing the 6.5mo rotation and finishing the 1st 2nd weeks of M3 so all of M1 and M2 are gone??? All my cardio w/os are there though.

Travel Fit is a one hour total body workout that will use a 6ft medium tension resistance band. I had a new one designed for the workout, however, any pliable resistance band will do. The non-latex TPR bands in the Fitness By Cathe line were a little stiff for this workout so I had Altus quickly go to China and get new ones created and manufactured for us (thank you Altus for that incredible feat and fast turnaround)!!!

The workout will incorporate this newest Fitness By Cathe more pliable band. The workout is going to be a non-stop continuous flow of exercises (sometimes just upper, sometimes just lower, and sometimes combined with upper lower exercises together). I have also added in cardio bursts to keep this a totally fat burning and body shaping workout. The cardio is mostly low impact aerobics. You are going to just love this workout :D

I was wondering if you could tell us a little bit about the Travel Fit w/o. What kind of bands you plan on using (ie resistance tubing or bands) and some information on the format. For instance will it be a total body workout that has premixes for splits?
